Rest In Peace Ric Ocasek. Thank you for the music and the magic. We've compiled our favorite Cars and Ric videos and tunes. Watch them all here bit.ly/2ke4XcC
RIP Ric Ocasec. Thank you for the magic music that you made.
Magic is quite the masterpiece... This song makes Ric immortal! ❤️
So painful to hear of his death. Good music.
I didn't realize Ric was 75 when he passed. I thought he was younger

My dad is 54 and he is stuck in the 80's. He keeps telling me how great it was and how music and the world was so much fun/better then and how people are too sensitive nowadays. We always make fun of him for being too old school but to be honest, he might be right.
He IS right Palmirei TV! Trust me- people were real back then.
Your dad is absolutely awesome.
He sure is...tell your Dad that agree 100%...from Austin, Texas
I'm 53...and he's right
I am 54 , your dad is a wise man and knows his stuff. Videos really came into their own in the 80S, there was Live Aid and was a remarkable decade for music.
The 80's had some of the greatest music ever. 🎶
completely agree with you! Cheers
Just woke up listening to the best of 80's music
Agree with u completely!! 😁👍
Not some…80 was the greatest
Heavenly
If a modern band had just one song as good as this in their career they'd be happy, the Cars had tons of classics. Unique band
Honestly, The Killers have a pretty similar catalog and both are underrated for the longevity and th amount of hits they put out
@@stevenolson4338 the killers are okay i love lonely town by Brandon flowers if he or the killers did more songs like that damn id be happy.
The Cars Are So Underrated
They were absolute hit machines. Couldn’t miss
The cars kicked ass !
wow, this screams the 80's
I'd say it screams a good decade.
And I'm okay with that.
I'd say it screams the best decade!!!
Best decade ever !

This came out the summer before senior year. My girlfriend and I used to hang out in her parents' living room with MTV playing for hours. This was one of our favorite songs. I would sing it to her while we danced slowly.
We went our separate ways once school started but remained friends throughout the years and miles. She passed away in 2021. What a huge loss. She really was human sunshine. I'm sure glad we had the summer of 84. It was easily one of the best times of my life. Rest easy, Angelica. You were magic to anyone who knew you.
WOW!!! Good Music + Good People. Sorry for your loss Don.
Sorry for your loss
her brightness still shines through your memory of her and now the world knows about her beauty
Thankyou for sharing and so sorry for your loss. The beautiful music keeps us going.. lots of love from England.
I am touched just by reading your story. In a weird way I feel like I was there
Thank you for the music Ric😪This one hurts😭
I just seen the neeeeeewz! :(:(:(:(
I guess one is going to hit you if you don't react the first time. I kind of took Money's passing with no problem, but this was the weird one, this was the teen ager again song. Money's was just smooth existence, but this is the pitstop in my youth and wondering what was going on.
Sure does, I'm so sad!!!😥
This was the first song that came to mind playing after I read of his passing. RIP to a 70’s and 80s rock icon
Thank you Ric for making great music we will miss you forever
Im 14 and The Cars are my favorite band, they are super underrated, Thank you Ric, Ben, Elliot ,Greg and David.
They were huge in the late 70’s and 80’s. Good music is good music and it speaks to all ages.
Coolest 14/15 year old

RIP Ric Ocasek
RIP Ben Orr
the legendary music he he sang will never get old
Thanks a lot for the excelent music mister ric and Ben orr
I'm about to turn 50 in 2022 and I'm still stuck in the mindframe of the 80s. The 80s with heavy metal and good ol rock n roll was awesome. The people were real personality-wise, and it was just freakin' the time of our lives.
Better times before the BS of tik Tok, Twitter, insta.
👋🙂 Привет ! В душе нам всегда 18 .
Im 56. Damn them years in 80s were great playin in rock bands.
I felt the world quit spinning for a split second when I heard of his passing! This band truly changed my thoughts of music he was so creative in his videos and his stage presence was dreamy in all aspects of the word.

I haven't seen this video since the 80s. I remember being a little kid and it blew my mind how he walked on the water. Simpler times better times.
I know what a time that was. 😁😁❤️
Just heard the news - RIP Ric Ocasek. :( Thank you for the music.

There is magic in your eyes and good vibrations in your ears too. It is hard to believe that this song is 40 years old. Rock' N' Roll and pop live on forever. It never fades away just like Disco music did in 1980.

One of the best examples of 80's music. The Cars had a way of getting the kids up and back on the dance floor.
One of my favorite bands of all time.
Not only were their sings brilliantly arranged and recorded but their sound was unlike any other rock n roll band.
The acoustics on their LPs and CDs were superb.
Miss Ric and Ben greatly.
Music from the 70's and 80's created Their own magic back then . Music like this have no expiry date 🎸🎸

Ironically, people criticized '80s pop music as not being 'real music', because of synthesizers and electric drum kits. 😭🤣
Thanks JD
RIP Ric. I can't believe the 1980's are dying. Michael Jackson, Prince, George Michael, Tom Petty, Eddie Money, Benjamin Orr & Ric Ocasek....all gone. Sad.

I had this cassette "Heartbeat city" in 86 and wore it out. God we were so fortunate to be teenagers in the mid 80's. Will never be another decade like it.
80s was fun, stadium concerts, drive in movies, i had buffalo bills season tickets right through 4 superbowl loses, it is true bills fans are crazy. I will say this bills fans are loyal, 17 years no playoffs @ still sellout every game
I absolutely agree...I was 16 years old when I saw the Cars at Pine Knob here in Michigan in the summer of 84...was the perfect mix of innocence and mellow reflection...the perfect time to be a teenager
Yeah, I get really upset when people try to put down the 80's. It was a great time. And it was the last great decade for music.
