Rest In Peace Ric Ocasek. Thank you for the music and the magic. We've compiled our favorite Cars and Ric videos and tunes. Watch them all here bit.ly/2ke4XcC
RIP Ric Ocasec. Thank you for the magic music that you made.
Magic is quite the masterpiece... This song makes Ric immortal! ❤️
So painful to hear of his death. Good music.
I didn't realize Ric was 75 when he passed. I thought he was younger

My dad is 54 and he is stuck in the 80's. He keeps telling me how great it was and how music and the world was so much fun/better then and how people are too sensitive nowadays. We always make fun of him for being too old school but to be honest, he might be right.
He IS right Palmirei TV! Trust me- people were real back then.
Your dad is absolutely awesome.
He sure is...tell your Dad that agree 100%...from Austin, Texas
I'm 53...and he's right
I am 54 , your dad is a wise man and knows his stuff. Videos really came into their own in the 80S, there was Live Aid and was a remarkable decade for music.
The 80's had some of the greatest music ever. 🎶
completely agree with you! Cheers
Just woke up listening to the best of 80's music
Agree with u completely!! 😁👍
Not some…80 was the greatest
Heavenly
This came out the summer before senior year. My girlfriend and I used to hang out in her parents' living room with MTV playing for hours. This was one of our favorite songs. I would sing it to her while we danced slowly.
We went our separate ways once school started but remained friends throughout the years and miles. She passed away in 2021. What a huge loss. She really was human sunshine. I'm sure glad we had the summer of 84. It was easily one of the best times of my life. Rest easy, Angelica. You were magic to anyone who knew you.
WOW!!! Good Music + Good People. Sorry for your loss Don.
Sorry for your loss
her brightness still shines through your memory of her and now the world knows about her beauty
Thankyou for sharing and so sorry for your loss. The beautiful music keeps us going.. lots of love from England.
I am touched just by reading your story. In a weird way I feel like I was there
If a modern band had just one song as good as this in their career they'd be happy, the Cars had tons of classics. Unique band
Honestly, The Killers have a pretty similar catalog and both are underrated for the longevity and th amount of hits they put out
@@stevenolson4338 the killers are okay i love lonely town by Brandon flowers if he or the killers did more songs like that damn id be happy.
The Cars Are So Underrated
They were absolute hit machines. Couldn’t miss
The cars kicked ass !
Anyone else wanna go back to the 1980s and stay there?
I do !!!
Fuck yeaaaaaah

It was the best! I’m so glad I grew up enjoying all the great groups like The Cars and singers like Eddie Money!
In a heartbeat.

@@mikixP You don't know me asshole! I was watching the Cars videos as a kid back in 1984. How about honoring and celebrating a great music man instead of judging who or who isn't a real fan jackass!
You simply can’t hate music from the 80s . Everything Was So Great About The 80s
Im 14 and The Cars are my favorite band, they are super underrated, Thank you Ric, Ben, Elliot ,Greg and David.
They were huge in the late 70’s and 80’s. Good music is good music and it speaks to all ages.

I guess one is going to hit you if you don't react the first time. I kind of took Money's passing with no problem, but this was the weird one, this was the teen ager again song. Money's was just smooth existence, but this is the pitstop in my youth and wondering what was going on.
Sure does, I'm so sad!!!😥
This was the first song that came to mind playing after I read of his passing. RIP to a 70’s and 80s rock icon

Only 18 and im just loving 80s music 🎵
As you should! I'm 58 and I have to say, I like some of the current music, but there is nothing like the 70's and 80's for the greatest feel good tunes!
You should leave a comment about it on youtube. I'll bet you are the first person to ever like classic music to make remarks about their young age! Then All you need to do is leave a comment about how much better music was back in the olden days than today.
If you're discovering the 80's, you gotta check out The Talking Heads.
Sounds to me like you have a good taste for music 🎶🎵 .
Good choice !!!!

Lost my Dad unexpectedly in early 84 the music of the cars made things a little easier to bear. Sorry Dad for anything I may have put you through.

Oh, twisted
Under, sideways, down!! ALWAYS LOVED THIS!!!!!
It's bittersweet for me since the 80s is my fav decade of music, but I was born 1992. I constantly wish I could've enjoyed it!
I'm about to turn 50 in 2022 and I'm still stuck in the mindframe of the 80s. The 80s with heavy metal and good ol rock n roll was awesome. The people were real personality-wise, and it was just freakin' the time of our lives.
Better times before the BS of tik Tok, Twitter, insta.

Who is going to do the magic. Thanks a lot for the great music you did goodbye.
I haven't seen this video since the 80s. I remember being a little kid and it blew my mind how he walked on the water. Simpler times better times.
I know what a time that was. 😁😁❤️
If the 80’s had a theme song, this would be it!
nah, I think it would be "Take on Me"
prefer this song though, just think "Take on Me" is more iconic
Absolutely, takes me straight back to those long lost magical days. Crank it up!
Jammin' Me from Tom Petty. Just my opinion.
Because it’s magic. I remember hearing this song at the Arcades while playing Wizards of Wor.
RIP Ric. I can't believe the 1980's are dying. Michael Jackson, Prince, George Michael, Tom Petty, Eddie Money, Benjamin Orr & Ric Ocasek....all gone. Sad.
Mark Hollis from Talk Talk was also a big blow to me. "It's My Life" and "Life's What You Make It" are classics. Heart breaks every time a songwriter of deep personal renown leaves us.
