Great review! One comment: you need to use an HP battery with the new one to experience its full power. I used mine with both, and the difference is quite staggering.
@@mottishaked1446 I’ll have to check what kind mine are, but if they are not HP I’ll wait for the new edge batteries. I have 20 18v batteries and don’t want to change. I’ll just run 2 4AH if I have to. I’m pretty sure the new battery I tried was an HP.

I just got mine, wow, love it. I bought the kit with charger and 4ah battery for 199$ CAD. Also bought a 2 pack of 4ah for another 98$ CAD. Very impressed with he power for such a small device. I only use it to dry out my car and it does an amazing job. The best thing about it, it's really light, your arms don't get tired at all and that's what I was looking for.
Just ordered that new Ryobi brushless blower today. I've been trying to find the kit (the one that comes with the tool, battery, and charger) for weeks now and it was never in stock or available to order anywhere near me. Finally saw it become available to order this afternoon and jumped on it right away. It should be here in a couple of days and I'm looking forward to getting it. It will be used exclusively for when I wash my cars. I already have an Ego Power+ 650 CFM blower (with a stubby nozzle attachment) that I've been using for a couple of years now but I wanted something more compact and lighter for when I'm working on smaller vehicles where they don't need the longer runtime of the Ego unit.
It’s really good for the right spaces water likes to collect. I think you’ll end up using both for the most efficient process. I’m doing that right now big blower for the large area and this one for wheels and other areas. Of course it will do a whole car as well no problem.
Thanks for making this video. I was very close to purchasing a cheap $30 blower on amazon but now seeing the results from your test I will hold out for a higher CFM, more premium unit.
Wow just bought this today and it did the job perfectly, I used it to clean the side of the house and back patio that was full of little branches and leafs on my cement floor due to wind storm that happened 3 days ago in LA County, way better than sweeping😂

Hello. I was wondering if someone could help me. I just picked one of these up and it doesn’t seem that powerful. Does the type of battery matter? I also got a 2 pack of 2AH 18V batteries but I’m wondering if 4AH batteries would make it more powerful? Is there a difference between 2AH and 4AH as far as power is concerned? Any help would be great, thanks.
The high performance Ryobi batteries will work better and 4ah would most likely do a little better. This is the most powerful handheld out there, but it’s still only as strong as the weakest bigger leaf blower. Mainly for around the shop and works well in the nooks and seams of cars when drying. Can dry a whole car as well. Just not good for most yard work. Cleaning off a patio will work pretty good.
@@CarsWithKeav Ok great thank you. Maybe I’ll try a better battery. I like the tool for sure and I think using it as you suggested, drying nooks and such, is probably best. I think I’ll still towel dry and then use this for spots the towel can’t really get to. Thanks for the response.
Going to be honest I have switched to rineless and no longer blow my car dry. Use a towel every time now. The blower still gets used quite a bit around the garage though.

lol 50 feet away from my Mustang GT Corsa exhaust, I don't care about my neighbors... it's a car deal with it xD. Thankfully they are chill about our cars haha. That new handheld one is pretty awesome now you got me thinking about getting one lol.
Nice! I saw some other videos where they got with the battery for $149, but have not seen any in my area and none on the website. That’s a good deal! I’ve got so many batteries it’s not even funny, buts it’s good to know there is an option for those without any batteries.
I couldn't find the package anywhere online in TX (yesterday afternoon) but I added myself to their email list and a few hours later I got an email and ordered it. Side note your video on the 600 psi power washer got me into the ryobi line- thanks @@CarsWithKeav
You should be wearing hearing protection, so the noise to others should be a factor. Btw the one plus batteries are at HD right now. 99 bucks for a 4 and 6 AH combo.
I give it a month or so Ryobi will have a big spring deal on battery combo deals. I’ll stack up more tools I don’t need and never even open up the boxes. One day I’ll need it. 🤣
I 3D printed a modified pointier tip for the compact brushless blower now it's over 200mph. Don't buy the original battery you can get generic battery's for 1/3 the price.
I’ve tried the generic ones before they never last and wear down quicker at least the ones ai have tried. I have Ryobi batteries from 5 years ago still going strong. Awesome you got it to 200mph nice!
With a fully charged battery, this lasts literally five minutes. It does a great job but I can usually only do 3/4 of my car with it. It’s been like this twice now.
I think it depends on how much time you spend on areas I usually is my big blower and this on lug nuts and the areas that need a blast. I have done a whole car, but when I do I run the 6ah battery usually.
I assume Ryobi is not carried in the UK? I’m not familiar with what is available to buy there. I do know you can get Bilt Hamber easily and at a good price. Here we have to import from Canada and pay a higher price until we get a distributor in the U.S.
@@CarsWithKeavWe do actually have Ryobi.( I have a few of there things, there snail shop blower, tire inflator etc),but we don't seem to get, all models, they never seem to arrive on these Island shores 🥴. Good example, is there 12v battery jump starter, it's not available over here, oddly.
@@DJJAW11 I wonder sometimes if it’s materials or things used due to import regulations and things like that. Same reason many things can’t come to the U.S. especially chemicals.
You are probably right and I’m looking into getting a real db meter. I tend to go by what bothers me more and what is loud to my ears which sometimes seems to be the one with higher decibels. Say high pitch vs a deeper sound.
@@CarsWithKeav sound is very tricky to measure because of the inverse square law and the fact that our perception of sound is logarithmic (every 3 dB the sound energy doubles). So the distance from the source is a crucial measurement too and the specific calibration of the microphone used, regularly dB meters are calibrated to be accurate at high loudness but suck at reading low level or quietness you need a specific dB meter for that, although some Fancy ones can work in orders of magnitude and will allow you to read both ends of the spectrum.
@@amedsoprano I just picked up a calibrated one to use in future videos. I figure I should be okay as I'm usually in the 50db to 100db area I hear less than 30db is when you need a specific meter for that. Thanks for all the info it is very appreciated I love learning and then applying that to the next video. I for sure will do some kind of distance test with all of them and I would think the environment as impact such as a very high echo garage versus outside. Measuring a pressure washer at 2 feet to me is not the right distance I think 5 to 10 feet would be the normal working distance.
@@CarsWithKeav as long as you do all your measurements in the same environment you should be Gucci. Ideally you want a room with as little echo as possible but standardized tests are just that, a standard environment for all test subjects. You could do an indoor vs outdoor test too because of the frequencies and harmonics you could produce destructive interference resulting in a decrease in overall loudness In confined spaces instead of gains. at the end of the day for leafblowers I'd say an arms length is a perfectly fine measument just pick different environments.
The ridiculous cost of the battery and stupid short run time why would anyone buy this ? When are people going to realize this battery junk is just going to empty your pocket and not accomplish anything but aggravate you

lol 50 feet away from my Mustang GT Corsa exhaust, I don't care about my neighbors... it's a car deal with it xD. Thankfully they are chill about our cars haha. That new handheld one is pretty awesome now you got me thinking about getting one lol.
My neighbors have never complained. I can read their faces sometimes though. 🤣🤣🤣
@@CarsWithKeav lol yea. Thankfully I have active exhaust so I do quiet starts at 530am but my wife doesn't so hers is cold start at 830am lol
Hey Buddy they do have a package deal at my Home Depot for a $149 with a 4.0 AH battery and charger I’m in Alabama
Side note your video on the 600 psi power washer got me into the ryobi line- thanks
@@CarsWithKeav
Does it have a filter to use for the car
Does not come with any filters.
Such a good video, thanks! 👍👍
You’re welcome
You should be wearing hearing protection, so the noise to others should be a factor. Btw the one plus batteries are at HD right now. 99 bucks for a 4 and 6 AH combo.
I give it a month or so Ryobi will have a big spring deal on battery combo deals. I’ll stack up more tools I don’t need and never even open up the boxes. One day I’ll need it. 🤣
lol!
The kit is Sold out at home depot
Just saw that. The tool only is still available and I hear some good battery deals going on right now.
Hey neighbor, It's a leaf blower deal with it 😂😂😂😂😂
Any noise I make deal with it. LOL
💯
awesome review
Thank You 🙏
I 3D printed a modified pointier tip for the compact brushless blower now it's over 200mph.
Don't buy the original battery you can get generic battery's for 1/3 the price.
I’ve tried the generic ones before they never last and wear down quicker at least the ones ai have tried. I have Ryobi batteries from 5 years ago still going strong. Awesome you got it to 200mph nice!
@CarsWithKeav Yes I realized that but for the price of one Ryobi battery I can get 2 of the generic battery. It's good to have choices either way.
@@badimpulses17 It’s great to have choices for sure. I usually take advantage of Ryobi days to get my batteries for cheap basically free.
Nice garage! I’m jealous!
Thank You! It was a big project and took almost a year. Saved a lot of money doing it all myself.
It’s an HP tool, has anyone tested it with an HP battery?
I have HP batteries and I didn’t see much difference. It could be slightly better, but not enough to tell during use.
With a fully charged battery, this lasts literally five minutes. It does a great job but I can usually only do 3/4 of my car with it. It’s been like this twice now.
I think it depends on how much time you spend on areas I usually is my big blower and this on lug nuts and the areas that need a blast. I have done a whole car, but when I do I run the 6ah battery usually.
... Coming to the UK,I think not 🥴
I assume Ryobi is not carried in the UK?
Great Review.
Thank You
"I don't care about any of my neighbors it's a leaf blower deal with it" [ HOA Swat kicks in your door ]
I’m barricaded inside and waiting for them. 🤣
your video, mate, A1.
Thank You
Yep, you can't buy this thing online. Amazon and Home Depot already ran out of this thing.
Yeah, it’s going in and out of stock all the time. Very popular right now.
Kind of want the little guy for cleaning my PC...any opinions would be appreicated
It would work good for that for sure would need to take it outside as it will blow everything around your desk across the room. 🤣
Just get the canned air with the long thin tubes, a LOT cheaper and does the job
Bloopers 😂😂😂😂👍🏿
Some good ones in there.
Im here
Me too! I can't leave for some reason though and can't figure out why. LOL
Measuring dB with a phone is like measuring voltage with your tongue.
Ear plugs seem to help…😜
It’s not quiet that’s for sure. 🤣
@@CarsWithKeav sounds high like a pitched whine
@@jeffsond Same sound as a stick vacuum mainly. Just doing the opposite blowing air instead of sucking it.
The ridiculous cost of the battery and stupid short run time why would anyone buy this ? When are people going to realize this battery junk is just going to empty your pocket and not accomplish anything but aggravate you
Not having any issues for me and for many we already have the batteries. I understand for those that would have to purchase batteries. I’m very pleased with my move to batteries in lawn equipment and tools. Your experience maybe different, but it’s not everybody’s experience.
I switched to ryobi YEARS ago, so I own 8 batteries, so that's not an issue at all. Love the power in this compact blower. Great addition to my ryobi collection.
@@johnnyb4728 Agreed, love mine. I’ve been rocking Ryobi for I can’t remember how long has to be at least 15 years back when they were blue colored.
It's pronounced Reeeeeee Oh Bee
Maybe pronounced that way, but not how I’m going to say it. 🤣
