Thanks. Can you please clarify that for the Ticwatch Ultra can you leave your phone at home on a bike or run and still navigate turn by turn using GPS? Can you download maps for offline use?

Since I like a lot the E3 this one is a great improvement
My original concern was with 1 display looking "deeper" than the other. After a month of use, I can say that both screens appear to be to be on the same plane without interfering with each other.
The battery life is just over 1 day if you turn ALL the features and connection-types on with 24hr bodily monitoring. Turning off some of the health tracking got me to just over 2 days between charged. I made a few other adjustments and I was able to get 3 days with normal use.
Essential mode uses seemingly zero battery. I went 2 weeks and the battery drop seem to be non-existant. Great watch! And I love their super comfy bands.

I like Mobvoi and my TicWatch Pro 2020 but I feel a bit let down that they arent supporting any new updates to Wear OS on the 2020 which I feel is simply because it would be too similar to the other newer models and then fewer people would upgrade to them. It also annoys me that they STILL have not added any form of Rotating crown, rotating bezel, heck even a touch bezel of the outer “chronograph” would be awesome, but it’s like Mobvoi has something against alternative navigation options (yes, I can get to everything via the screen; is this always the best or most preferred way? NO!). I decided to get the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm and I absolutely love it. Its like a breath of fresh air for Wear OS. I do wonder how much the Dual Layer LCD really saves on battery life with that giant 571ma battery in the TicWatch, as the 361ma in the GW4 can last 2 days, almost to 3 if I turn off the screen and put it in low power mode at night. When the TicWatch is in LCD mode it doesnt have access to most of the Smart features either, so I wonder if the GW4 had a 571ma battery how long it would last? Anyway, maybe the next TicWatch Mobvoi will FINALLY add a rotating crown - they are the only Watch I know of that still doesnt have some version of it and its making them look really outdated!

I have the GW4 classic and the tic watch pro 3 and the pro 3 is good for battery and comfort, however it is not as good as the Samsung. I am not a big fan of the wear OS app and think Samsung did a much better job app wise. I am excited to see what wear os 3 will look like on the tic watch though. I like both and they each have their good and bad

This is still one of my two choices as of now (April 2022). I don't like the charging solution, but on the other hand, it gives me an opportunity to use my new 3D printer to make a crate so I can "throw in" my watch to get it charged, seems a bit fiddly otherwise. I would have liked the 4100+ like the Fossil Gen 6, but with overclocking the difference may not be noticeable anyway.

One of the things I really like about what they do is that they keep it as close to stock as possible. Hopefully we will see a pixel watch next week

It is more of a sports watch but the Casio G Shock Wear OS watch has a two-layer screen as well
Casio discontinued, so now Mobvoi are only ones in the market to have dual display
Can you make a detailed video of calling feature?
Like normally I wear earbuds & they are connected to my phone, so when someone calls me and if I answer the call from my watch, so will the audio from the person calling me will come through the earbuds or the watch? And during an ongoing call do we have an option to change the audio from watch to phone and vice-versa, from the watch itself, or will i have to pull out my phone from the pocket to do so?

Nice vid! As Black Friday is approaching, I'm researching about all kinds of watches. But for me, as I value battery life very highly, I think I'll get the Pro 3 GPS (around 200€) and not the Ultra (around 300€), as I think the differences are really very small.
Do you think it's a good way to get the non-ultra version or should I really spend that extra 100€ just to get those "military standard certificates", colourful LCD-Backgorund and the feature that allows you to monitor mental fatigue and energy level?
To add to this: Do you know whether it is possible to run the watch without a Mobvoi account and just Google? What features would I be missing out on if that is the case?
And, lastly, have you got any experience with connecting to Huawei/Honor devices, as I got an Honor phone as my daily driver and don't want to switch to my spare phone just to connect to the watch.
I'm in the same boat as you. Ticwatch Pro 3 dropped heavily here in Canada, whereas the Ultra remained the same. Difference of about $120... Wondering if I should just get the be pro 3
@@jsteelize I just bought the Pro 3 GPS non-ultra yesterday. After researching a little more I came to the conculsion that the Pro 3 Ultra does not add 90-100€ of value for me. As both have the same great battery performance (which is important to me) and will be getting Wear OS 3, it was an easy win for the Pro 3.

@@jcp_247 I also bought it in 2021 thinking it will get the update in 2022 eventually. Turns out: Nothing. No update available yet. But the cpu is one that supports wear os 3, so i think it should be there in 2023. Just not cool to promise an update and not delivering one.

Thank you very much and honestly no if you have the 2021 Pro 3 GPS you are 99% of the way there. I would definitely recommend this to anybody from a 20/20/2019 or even 2018 model tic watch but a 2021 especially the Pro 3 GPS it's not that much of an upgrade.
@@TKBay I was wondering is the bracelet not more confortable from the ultra? It has also gorilla glass I see. and a 24h phisical and mental status monitor. But for the rest I don"'t see much difference as well

@@matekk3234 does it sync everything tho. I've seen quite a few watches and fitness bracelets boasting Google Fit compatibility just to see later that it doesn't sync all data.

Can you be able to change the font size to the larger one?
Why do smartwatch manufacturers persist in adding markings on the bezel? They look cheap and make no sense on a watch that may not even be used with an analog face. Not to mention the fact that the secondary display is a conventional digital readout.

Hey, so I have had a Venue 2. It's a beautiful watch and very nice tracking, sleep, heart rate and display options are great in the app store. I also love the battery life that easily runs 2-6 days depending on whether you use the all on display or not. It's a great to start out but, you can't talk on the Venu 2. You can only answer and receive calls. There's also not that many good options for the screen protector. Trust me, I've bought too many wrong versions to tell 😂
Does Google Messages work on this like the Galaxy Watch 4?

The images downloaded to the watch stay on the watch until you remove them. As far as the temperature of I see it in Fahrenheit since I live in the US I'm pretty sure it's customized to the units that you want you're able to customize it to both Fahrenheit or Celsius.

Last update of TicWatch 3 ultra disabled Compass functionality, I'm pretty upset as I used it regularly and cannot find out why they did that...any idea?
Probably reports of inaccuracy and with no easy firmware fix they just shut it down. No facts to back it up tho, just what I imagine.

The 4 pin connections wear out over time. That is the setback. Once the pins to the watch are deteriorated, the charger never works.
And how long is this "time" of which you speak? Enquiring minds etc....
Mine was 6 months give or take.

My Pixel 6 Pro is taking forever to move from "Connecting to TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra" to the remaining set up. I waited for 20 mins or so and then factory reset the watch and tried again...It is spinning in that screen on my phone forever

I'm so confused. I want the Samsung 4 Classic to go with my S21 ultra cause I love the rotating bezel and wireless charging but don't want Bixby as my assistant. This watch seems to have everything else like battery life and Google assistant. Do you think Samsung will give you an option for Google assistant in a later firmware? Btw, Good review.👍
Right now there are rumors that we may get that option down the road but Samsung has not confirmed it and we just need to keep in mind that you know Samsung's ecosystem uses Bixby and this watch is intended to work in that system. I think what we get with ticwatch is closer to what Android Wear stock experience and it will get better with wear 3. My worry is to buy something based on a promise and not an actual feature that we have in today
Actually. I don't know. Definitely Ticwatch is a nice option because of battery life. I don't care much about Google Assisstant, because I almost never use it on my phone and barely use it on my TV. Ticwatch has downsides too, such as smaller RAM and storage - 1/8 on Ticwatch, 1.5/16 on Samsung, and the size - Ticwatch is 47 mm which is too big for my 15 cm wrist. I'm sporting 42 mm Galaxy Watch4 Classic.
Of course you should use the one that works for you. The ram amount by the way at this time anything over 1 gig runs Android very nicely. I do wish they carry more sizes though. Thank you for sharing

I think that the Pro 3 looks better then the Pro 3 Ultra, but they cost more or less the same (~$30 difference) and then the Ultra looks like the better buy. At the same time, I would like to have the rotating crown that Samsung use.. 🤷🏼♂️
No rotating crown on the Samsung, but it does have a rotating bezel, which is arguably better.

Fashion/looks
Battery life
Everything else is somewhat identical using WearOs on a 4100 Snapdragon
We all know who wins in the battery category. So which one would look better on your wrist? A 44 mm, or a 47 mm?
Samsung build blows ticwatch away. that rotation bezel is awesomeness

This watch can an extension of the phone with functions such as receiving calls , controlling smart home devices without pulling out the phone . Within hours after receiving your reply I got my pro 3 and tested. .Google assistant in this watch is easy to operate , it not only can execute the tasks outside the home wifi range from anywhere , through GSM voice command, it can also talk back confirming the execution of the task . Beautiful! Having known it's practical application, might get an ultra for colour option as in the dark the lcd screen is not visible, .though I feel the Pro 3 otherwise is a great phone and quite good enough for anyone .
Update : I got an ultra version too ... Nice esp the lcd colour changing option , but feel the battery life in pro 3 is better , love both .
@@prakash8853 great info! I am looking at a Wear OS 3 (eventually...) watch to test the Home Assistant app for Wear OS. To be able to use Google Assistant as a backup is enough for me. Was going to get a Fossil Gen 6 but living on a farm the Ticwatch seems more rugged.

Apple watch or this, which one would you go for?
For me, it would be depending on the phone you have. If you have an iPhone, I would 100% say the apple watch. The Tic Watch can be used by iPhone but it won't work very well. If you have Android, the Apple watch won't work so definitely the Tic Watch.
I had the same question but with de watch 4 classic, I went to the watch 4 classic i and dont regret
But if you have an iphone dont doubt to buy the applewatch

Big no since the tickwatch 4g is a lte watch. This thing does a lot, but you can't care a non-lte to a lte smartwatch
I made a mistake, I went for the galaxy watch 4, but I should've gone with the ticwatch pro 3... I don't like the Samsung skin... And I absolutely hate thst Samsung force you to use the useless Bixby alternative, some apps such as Google translate aren't available on the galaxy watch 4, for whatever reason... And I only get like a day and a half of battery life, I might sell the watch just to buy the ticwatch pro 3
Fossil Gen 6 is better
It sure looks better, and I like the crown, but it doesn't seem to be as rugged as I need in my daily life on a farm and the battery life in the one shown here is a pretty good argument for it IMO. I do prefer the bigger display on the Ticwatch too. Still haven't decided on which one to get but right now I'm leaning towards the Mobvoi one.
After 1 day of moderate usage I've got 34% left. No 24 hrs monitoring, no sleep monitoring... I think those guys reviewing (not just this channel) are paid by Mobvoi to not saying the truth, or simply Chinese boys have send them with diff batt if they say up to 3 days.. it's my second Tic Watch 3 Ultra, as first one I had to change as from 87% plunged down to 5%... after just 36 hrs... so I know what I'm talking about... to bad, as watch alone is nice piece of 'equipemnt'. I'm returning it back to Amazon heading today Costco for $245 plus tax for Samsung 44mm... (currently on sale 279 down to to 249)... G. luck to all.
Plastic back of this watch looks sooo cheap.
Plastic can be both worse or better wearing than metal nowadays, if it still gets the MIL-STD-810G rating with plastic compound to lessen the weight I'm happy.
Wear OS 3 ??? They are lying to us... This watch is not worth what they are charging for it. should be a $99 watch.

I have a Google Pixel 6 Pro. Which smartwatch provides the most compatibility with said phone, the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra or the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4?? I kinda want to wait until the Pixel Watch comes out, but at the same time I don't want to get a first-gen product 🫤
Ticwatch. Just got the pixel 7 pro coming from a s22 ultra and Galaxy watch 4. ended up selling watch 4vgot the ultra 3 and seems more compatible. on another note loving the pixel over s22 ultra
