@@zepp5344 all right, it's still a great smartwatch, but what discourages me is the lack of support from Google to update the watch, it's been over a year since they release any updates for Wear OS
had the pleasure of using both the Huawei watch 3 and Ticwatch Pro 3 ultra - I really like both: Huawei for general build quality and for app/health tracking; Ticwatch for looks and integration with Android and Google assistant etc. In my mind the Huawei would be the best if it (a) had a proper link to your calendar on the phone and (b) had better notification integration with the phone (i.e. deleting on one deletes it on the other). So ended up mostly using Ticwatch for its "smarts" but if the Huawei integration was improved I would definitely prefer that one as a smartwatch and health tracker!
Great comparison video... I have the watch 3 for the past month or so and for what I need it for, a great looking watch and activity tracker, I'm very happy with it so far and I find people notice it and ask about it. I find with everything on i get 2 and a half days battery and I have a hockey Puck charger in work and at home so it's no problem really... To me the tic watch looks chunky but it really comes down to the Google apps for most people at the end of the day... Greatings from Ireland.
Great video! Keep up please. My experience is that here is a big design flaw in ticwatch 3 apart from its plastic shell.the water resistance is veeery weak. Many watches cracking reports including mine and mobvoi refusing many returns. Health tracking hardware of huawei is top notch. Lets wait for smart functions updates.
Hey Renato, awesome comment. I've heard about these issues - and believe that it might be something related to a specific batch. I have used two different devices - and with both of them have been swimming (for one week in a pool with mineral rather warm water) - and they are still fine. But it's true that I try not to push the water resistance too much - as most vendors don't care about what they advertise. Seen bunch of folks suffering from the same "treatment" by Samsung.
@@TechMishka you are right! The water resistance in this watch, i guess, wears out after several sessions (i swim 3 times a week, sometimes with the galaxy watch and sometimes with the huawei watch fit) which is such a shame considering the great watch it is. Greetings from Brazil!
I like the ticwatch Pro 3 ultra, but I will probably go with the HUAWEI gt3. I already have the gt2, and after testing the HUAWEI gt3, I like having the ability to talk and receive calls with a iPhone unlike the google os ticwatch. And 10 days with AOD on the HUAWEI compared to barely 3 days on tic, makes it easy to choose. If tic could just improve the battery life, they could win me over, but three days if your lucky just doesn’t cut it for me.
To not be able to answer messages is a dealbreaker for me. I'm using the Huawei GT2 as of right now, and I hate not being able to respond to messages. But I just ordered a Ticwatch pro 3. I previously used Wear OS whith my Sony Smartwatch 3, an I like Wear OS better.
Great comparison. I have a soft spot for Huawei Watch as I wore the original Huawei Watch from 2015 and still think it's one of the most beautiful looking smart watch. But for this comparison I think I'd go with the TicWatch because of Google. Looking forward to your Galaxy Watch 4 review! As a Watch 3 owner, I am only disappointed in the responsiveness/speed when sending text messages. For example, some lag in opening the texting app. Lag and accuracy in voice dictation. I have to wait a few seconds after saying a few words to see if it got my words right... very annoying! I'm jealous of Apple Watch users who can quickly voice-dictate a message quickly and it shows the words on the screen in real time as you speak. The full flow of shooting out a text message on that watch is very fast. In your review I'd really love if you can test out the speed/accuracy of the voice dictation on the Watch 4. If it's really good I'd consider upgrading... (Galaxy Store has $185 trade in value right now, so the watch could be bought for under $200!)
WOw, such an awesome comment. I totally agree with you - not only the first Gen of the Huawei Watch is beautiful, it has remarkable performance and battery life! Your idea well noted - will appear for sure in the video. Thanks a lot!
The price of the galaxy watch 4 dropped down crazy ,i bought a 40 mm for casual use and cycling, i can tell , the watch improved a lot, for now every measuring is very accurate ,the blood pressure is crazy good ,i only had to calculate 1 time thats all, the ecg is not okay , i dont even recommend to use it, i think watches cant measure ecg ( no chance against a 12 point ecg machine what used in hospitals). So yeah the watch 4 has a lot of features, battery life got better i had now like 34 -36 hrs for the 40mm.

I don't agree with the first point 😅- the display, despite that TWP 3 using a layer of FSTN LCD, that too a little darker LCD on the said watch( coz when the FSTN LCD kicks in on the previous gen, it looked cheap...like really cheap), the average layperson wouldn't understand why the large watchface is is quite ugly....specially if that person didn't see the not so glorious amOLED before! I sais not so glorious coz of the layer of the FSTN......again! Now on the other hand, the display on the Huawei watch 3, which peaks at around a 1000 nits, coupled with a 60hz refresh rate!!!! which has no business on a smartwatch- Mr Mobile @MichaelFisher 😂😂, The Huawei watch 3 refreshes twice more smoother than any other Smartwatches. Couple that with a beautiful gorgeous OLED with a very high peak brightness, I think the Huawei takes the display department..... IMO 😁👍🏻
I will check once again the Ticwatch - as far as I remember it also is 60hz display. But yeah - I also thought a lot whether Huawei has enough of advantage to win it.
