6:11 the weather problem, first of all I agree, there should be a clear option to change that in the settings. But it does have a simple solution. at least in my case, on the watch I told google assistant that I prefer Celcius over farenheit on the watch and google assistant told me, "got it I'll remember that" and from then on the weather app was on celcius

I bought a ticwatch pro 3 because of all these positive reviews. If it is the best a wearable can be, then at this current time I can safely say that wearables are not worth the purchase if you do not have one already. The only reason I could see getting one is to monitor heart rate, but there are cheaper and more accurate devices out there. There have been so many times I get a call, answer ony phone, the call is active and they can hear me, no sound on my end. The compass feature just does not work and even 3rd party apps can't help. The biggest issue for me, and this is probably wear os, is that this device does not function in tandem with your phone, you have to pull your phone out of your pocket to change your tracks, you have to unlock your phone to make a call, the only part about wear os that syncs with your phone is the limited notifications you might be able to interact with. I thought that the point of a wearable was a secondary device that would allow me to interact with my phone without taking it out of my pocket. You can see all the groundwork is there, there's no reason why one day with software updates we shouldn't be able to use our watch IN TANDEM with our phone instead of some pseudo standalone ipod thingy we have now

Great review and reviewer! My only nit pick is that I was unsure from your intro if this is a 'new' watch or just a "one year later" review on last year's Ticwatch Pro 3. So Googling the release date on this watch and I see it is literally "today"! You are on fire with timely reviews! 🔥🔥🔥
May I suggest a video/review idea for you... I use a silver Ringke bezel accessory for my Galaxy Watch 3 and love how it transforms the look/style of the watch for only about $10. I find the stock design of the Watch 3 pretty generic but with these custom bezels it make it look more unique. Would be great to see your take/review on this! 😁
Finally something to consider in the wearos watch world, the dual screen tech is still great. Can you change the always on display screen style or is it fixed?
Every watch face has their own AOD style . Even huawei using this feature now,it rocks.

The 4GB extra memory (compared to 4GB before) should be very welcome.
Backlight to the liquid crystal display is also very useful! Does it work in Essential mode? (when the smartness is turned off)
The design looks nice, but that extra black bezel around the screen is annoying... why couldn't they cover it up?
Also - absolutely mandatory to add a tempered glass screen protector now with the flush screen.
And btw I got my Pro 2020 replaced super quickly after getting it water damaged.
With the Ticwatch pro 3, you can flick your wrist, or click the top button. Both work in essential mode.

Looks like not a huge improvement compared to regular Ticwatch 3 pro. Also I think that steps counter will not be fixed soon (if ever), as its known issue, at least since I own my regular ticwatch 3 pro. Nice video!
Thanks Jacek for your comment! I think the improvements are only about design and the case structure, but it is definitely a step in the right direction.
As for the step counter - it seems to be kind of ok now.

Would have preferred if they removed that inner bezel. Don't think I'll upgrade from TWP3 just yet.

It doesn't measure it all the time - there are chunks it tries to get every few minutes. But if your hand moves a lot, it will skip the measurement.

GTX is ... well - better check Amazfit's devices or maybe Mi Watch Lite.

They didn`t call it just ULTRA bcs it rly isn't that different from PRO 3 GPS. It`s is the same price as the previous one tho.
It says it has military standard but still plastic below. This time they finally say what kind of glass it is. For the last one, they didn't want to say it. They just said, "it is really strong".
Same battery life (72h/45d) even tho you say it has Snapdragon 4100+ and not 4100 like the previous one. On their webpage, it states that chipset is same as pro 3 GPS

Ohhh I found it! Go in the icons to essential mode. Don’t turn it on, but swipe left, then swipe down and you’ll see it.

Most of the issues you told seem to be just some software tweaks that are needed, other than that, it seems again a great smartwatch.
If I'll be searching for a new smartwatch (Hope I won't they are still too expensive for the things they offer and don't) I still here some rumors we are about to see a Pixel watch on the upcoming pixel event but I don't believe it. For now, I'm staying with my Fossil Gen5 which I'm still angry at that won't be updated to WearOS 3...
Oh... Pixel Watch... WOuld be nice. Although - given the close relationship between Google and Samsung again, and given their not too good SoCs for watches... Don't know :-)

I use both of them. Probably the Huawei device a little more often because of the longer lasting battery. I just dislike the idea to charge the watch every 2-3 days. And don't need NFC / msg replies.

The Pro 5 is superior in terms of performance. And comes with much newer OS
Looking to get a new watch after my Huawei gt2 has broken, I was going to get a Huawei GT3 or an Amazfit gtr 4, but it sounds like you think this is a better watch? If so is that the case as an everyday watch?

Should I wait for the next iteration or is this really the peak right now? I need to get something to monitor health and navigate while riding. How would you compare this to the Amazfit gtr or trex
I honestly cannot predict. Perhaps there will be better new models soon or later, but given the situation with price spikes lately - I don't know...
@@TechMishka I went with the ultra. Is ok. Find times where the sensors are inaccurate as hell and others they're spot on. Also mobvoi told me do not wear it in shower or ocean.. Maybe swimming but over time the waterproof effects will wear off
which app did you use to view photos on your watch? And also what is the Wear OS version?
The WearOS version is 2.x. And the app - some gallery app I took from Play store.

I am intrigued now! I am looking for a new watch quite a long time now. Yes, my SM-R800 is old and can be easily replaced but I am looking for all the new features, for a good connectivity with iPhone and for a price that is, well not Apple Watch price :)

I use mine with the iPhone and like it much better than the apple watch. I don't like square watches, and even though I lose the ability to reply to text messages, I still get them and the fitness metrics are so much nicer along with the app then the stupid 3 ring apple circus. jmo

As an ios user I'm struggling to decide between the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS and the Garmin Venu 2. I can live without being able to reply back to messages on my watch. I prefer the Ticwatch aesthetics but it seems unanimous that the Garmin is better for fitness tracking......but the Ticwatch would probably be good enough for what I need (sleep tracking and gym workouts 4-5 times a week and walking and getting a rough gauge of calories and steps)

Garmin is indeed great about fitness tracking, however Ticwatch seem to prioritize this a lot too.
Still - if you plan to do sleep tracking, better think about a device with long-lasting battery. Ticwatch Pro 3 is kind of alright, but definitely Garmin's battery-friendly hardware and lack of hungry for power OS will contribute a lot to not having to charge it too often.
I can't help thinking this is the pro 3 with a new name.
Pretty much. Just a few tweeks. Not worth upgrading if you have a 3, but not priced any higher than the 3 was when released so that is a plus.
True that... In terms of hardwre - only better case and waterproofness. Rest is well-known.
New version of WearOS is a non-starter for me for as long as original strength training component of Google Fit is left deliberately disabled. Why would you decimate a key feature that provides auto-recognition of strength training exercises, and a configurable interval timer, that means that you don't have to take your phone onto the gym floor? Suicidal gaff by Mountain View
Looks like the TicHealth ecosystem is a reasonable alternative to Google Fit.

Just got the tic watch ultra. It doesn't seem to have a compass though... Doesn't seem to be advertised on the website. Does it just work on gps?
You may try downloading a compass app from Play store.

Can't remember the name, but you can go to the app Facer and check the top free chart - plenty of nice ones there.
And it's still running WearOS 2.
Yup. Even now, in the end of the year. But I don't see too many reasons to want v.3... At least nothing remarkable about its performance on Samsung.
I hate to say this because I love my watch, but don't buy it, this is my 3rd Ticwatch, I bought the Pro 3 Ultra GPS Fall of 2021 because it was on the list of watches to get the Gear OS3 update...March 2023 and there is still no date set, we have been swindled. Look at Samsung or Suunto 9 Peak, or wait for the Ticwatch 5 to come out, supposedly it will have the updates Gear OS.

I can't remember... Try facer and look for it.
Fossil watch 6 is terrible, the GW4 has bugs on wear is which the only good thing is the update on maps and a body fat calculator. Tic watch is always great except for no rotating bezel/crown, but tic watch pro has always had great battery life.
I've had 2 galaxy watch 4 classics (1x46mm and 1x42mm) and I am yet to encounter any bugs (I even received them before the official release date lol)
@@MegaBytesMe I've had multiple Samsung watches from the Frontier (awesome watch) to the Active, Active 2, galaxy watch 3... none of them were very accurate for fitness. Bad heart rate readings and inconsistent gps.
Most watches use very similar sensors in terms of hardware. And the way we wear them and they rest on the wrist is important about accurate readouts. But I believe Samsung's devices are rather accurate about sports. Not perfect, but good...
CAUTION: DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH. This RUclips Channel is presenting a faulty product. The software is wonky, plus why would you ever buy a smartwatch in the first place? I am throwing my Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra into the trash and buying a Seiko, which tells the time. The rest is always available on a phone. And why would you add yet another device that requires charging???

seriously dont consider this crap, battery is worst, Stava sync always less 100-200 meter. shud jz get Coros(min 1. 5 week battery) or Garmin.- ex ticwatch pro User
Sounds like you need something oriented towards sports. Garmin and Coros have totally different operating systems.

As far as I remember - this is one of the default watchfaces included with Ticwatch. Or it has been some Facer's recommendation.
After 1 day of moderate usage I've got 34% left. No 24 hrs monitoring, no sleep monitoring... I think those guys reviewing (not just this channel) are paid by Mobvoi to not saying the truth, or simply Chinese boys have send them with diff batt if they say up to 3 days.. it's my second Tic Watch 3 Ultra, as first one I had to change as from 87% plunged down to 5%... after just 36 hrs... so I know what I'm talking about... to bad, as watch alone is nice piece of 'equipemnt'. I'm returning it back to Amazon heading today Costco for $245 plus tax for Samsung 44mm... (currently on sale 279 down to to 249)... G. luck to all.
An update: once GPS been turned off; after 1 day of light usage, and turning off 4 the night; got 85%. Way better; way what I was thinking when buying it based my choice because of RUclips reviews... I believe GPS off mostly bring this positive impact, yet to see to what degree the turned off Mobvoi Launcher.
