Just wanted to comment on your comment about how it's hard to see the lcd/ftsn (non lit up) screen outdoors unless it's lit up (at 3:20), but actually the whole point of that other screen is to be very visible outdoors. I own ticwatch 2020 pro and am speaking from experience. Just go outside, and you'll see that brighter the sun is, the easier it is to read. It is in fact the OLED screen, that is harder to see in direct sunlight, hence the dual screen. The ftsn screen is no different than old school casio LCD watches or calculator screens and they are also easier to see as the brightness increases. :)
I completely agree. I always turn my always on display off when I'm going to be outdoors for a period of time because how much easier it is to see the LCD display.
I've been looking for a wearOS watch that would actually keep up with me, and considering Google isn't releasing the Pixel watch any time soon, I think this will be my choice!! Not just for WearOS but for the look too! Fits my style quite well!
You didn't mention GPS which is the main feature that would interest me and is usually a feature that sucks the battery juice like no other... Do you plan to cover it in a follow up video? So far the TicWatch Pro 3 looks pretty good. All the best, Rob
since most features with GPS record data directly to your phone and most watches need the phone with it while recording fitness or using 90% of the other features id leave the big tasks to the big battery.
Do not buy from Mobvoi they have no repair mechanism in place these are too expensive to be throw away products but if they can't fix it if there is an issue then it is disposable.
I'm in a similar place. I liked the humor, even with swearing, but the beeps were intensely loud and just uncomfortable to hear that piecing pitch in the middle of a sentence. Much more difficult to ignore those kinds of thing in this content because I'm listening closely to all the facts, numbers & details

I have been looking at replacing my TicWatch Pro Gen 1. After seeing this video, the PrickWatch is most definitely on the radar. However, before I commit to another Mobvoi product, I just want to see what Fossil will do. Will they use the 4100+? And will the 4100+ be a deal breaker. @Tech Spurt, thank you for the video though. I just picked up the Fossil Gen 6 this weekend on a Black Friday deal but I think I'm going to return it. It does have the 4100+ but less than an a day's charge and about a year until OS3 is killing an otherwise nice watch. Looking to get this instead. Can't stand Samsung.
@@TheAmal316 I I is much better than the Urbane. It tracks my sleep, I love the dual screen. I only have to charge it every three days. it is just a better watch. I don't miss my LG at all. Buy it it is the best android watch you can buy. Makes the Fossil watches junk.

On sale now for boxing day on Amazon. Was thinking to replace my Fossil Gen 6 I just got from Fossil during the summer for this watch, but the super fast charge of the Gen 6 (a feature I didn't even know about until my 1st time charging. WHAT A SWEET SURPRISE!!!) is too golden to live without!

You're right ,he's wrong. He must not have actually tried it outdoors. The brighter the light, the easier to see, pretty much ,main reason I buy Ticwatch Pros. When exercising outdoors, I can glance at watch and see all data easily (as long as you are using ticwatch exercise apps), google fit won't show data on LCD screen.
@@mikeoes1 You can't use the LCD screen in a Google Fit or Mobvoi sport activity can you? I would imagine that would default to the amoled screen whiff is just too see in sunlight
@@johnmanley4528 you can see the Mobvoi sport activity data (most of it) on the LCD screen. Google fit, you will need to use the amoled screen (which any AMOLED is hard to see in very bright conditions). I get real time Heart rate, distance travelled ,time elapsed all on LCD screen when using mobvoi exercise apps which is great! any other questions don't hesitate to ask
mikeoes1 Thanks Mike. Just so that I understand, if you start let’s say a run on the Mobvoi sports app, can you see that or most of that data(timer, distance, etc...) on the LCD screen? That would be very helpful if that’s the case. I can’t see any Wear OS amoled screen in bright sunlight.

(Mobvoi app developer must have programmed it that way) whereas google fit works on all wear os smart watches yet Ticwatch is only one with dual screen so they probs didn't take time to put that in the code.

I listen to you with your One Week Review to hear what your actual experience was. You went through features, like any other video, but I want to know the details about what happened with the watch as you wore it. It was good to find out that there's still some minor lag, things like that. Thanks.
Looks like a good watch but I wish they had longer battery life the likes of Huwawei. Another thing is the Blood pressure monitor which is very important. Thanks for the great review.
Definitely!!! looking for an upgrade on my original Galaxy Watch. It comfortably gets 4 days with most features turned off. The reality is who actually turns on all the features all the time!! Im really active and i dont.

I have a tic watch pro original. Google Wear only allows Google Play Music to do offline music (unless someone has found a way round it). The issue is Google Play Music is now defunct and RUclips Music is not supported yet. Spotify on Wear OS only allows control of music with your phone on you whether you have free or premium. If you want music without a phone, wait for Google to sort out RUclips Music, this is the only reason I will not upgrade...yet
So perfect...almost! Still no rotating crown? The only thing, and I mean only thing, why is Mobvoi so resistant to making one of the clickers a rotating crown?? They even teased it on the last watch with the knurled upper button...it really should be on their flagship Pro and then they would have...The Perfect SmartWatch. Oh well, maybe on the 4?

I bought a tic2 but I would never advocate buying from this company their decision making and how they treated tic2 customers is appalling. Avoid at all costs. All tic2 owners are stuck with a device that to.get working requires and downloaded app from the website not the store. There is no store as it requires a firmware update to use the store, it runs on a custom android not 'wear', they won't pay a license for 'wear2' on the tic 2. The hardware is solid great device and will run 'wear2'.

3:08 You've got no hope of seeing the LCD 'essential' screen outdoors?!? Is that a mistake? One of the best features on previous TicWatch Pros was that the LCD 'essential' screen was perfectly viewable outdoors.
No mistake, the LCD is impossible to see when in the hibernating state - all you see is glare on the screen. But when the light kicks in with the raise to wake feature, you can clearly see the text then.
1700 for a smart watche may be an insane price. But having lived with my Marq Athlete for the last 4 months...I couldn't ever use another. The damned thing has so many features that no other watch that I know of even come close to. For instance, went for a run and decided to bring up the maps on it. Fou d out that there were to trail systems less than 1000 yards from my home I had no idea even existed.
08:50 "easily get three days...includes all the tracking..." 4100 speed and the much larger is the really important part; your reported three days with 'everything' on is impressive. How long did it take to charge? I would have liked to see some bluetooth testing as well, as in how far from your phone before losing connection. I hope, and trust there will be an LTE version and... that there are operators that will activate it.

Great vid! Hows the actual performance, does it get choppy at all? I have the orig tic pro and with the less ram on it, it gets really choppy on it... even if i factory reset its fine for a day or two before it gets all choppy again. Great Video, not so great product. Received a faulty unit out the box, LCD missing some lines. Two days later a response from Mobvoi asking if I showered with the unit.....WTF?! 7 days later, no response whatsoever from Mobvoi. Bad product and even worse after sales service!!!!
Trying to decie on my next watch. Down to basically the TicWatch Pro 3 or the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. GW3 has more features, but costs more, and there are features that ONLY work with a Samsung phone (ECG, BP). I have a Note 9 now, but who knows about the future? The TW3P has most of what I want, is a little cheaper, and works on any phone. This is hard!
Don’t try ordering one though - Mobvoi currently taking orders but are actually out of stock and aren’t communicating this with customers. Huge delay in getting them to people. Bit of a mare for a lot of people at the mo.

I thought the LCD actually had great visibility outdoors without the backlight. Similar to e-ink?

Yep, if you just want a bit of step tracking etc, this'll stretch to 4-5 days. Still not as crazy good as the Huawei watches but v good indeed

If you want music directly on the watch, take a look at Nav Music and Nav Explorer

3:08 You've got no hope of seeing the LCD 'essential' screen outdoors?!? Is that a mistake? One of the best features on previous TicWatch Pros was that the LCD 'essential' screen was perfectly viewable outdoors.

No mistake, the LCD is impossible to see when in the hibernating state - all you see is glare on the screen. But when the light kicks in with the raise to wake feature, you can clearly see the text then.
@@TechSpurt so do you know what they've changed with the LCD screen? seems pointless having it if this is the case?

1700 for a smart watche may be an insane price. But having lived with my Marq Athlete for the last 4 months...I couldn't ever use another. The damned thing has so many features that no other watch that I know of even come close to. For instance, went for a run and decided to bring up the maps on it.
Fou d out that there were to trail systems less than 1000 yards from my home I had no idea even existed.
Watch looks good. The ticwatch e is sitting at home (display issues) which I enjoyed. I like it, definitely keeping it in mind

I have a GT 2 pro. And the build quality is much better. The Tic watch is only plastic and glass. Nothing premium about it at all.

08:50 "easily get three days...includes all the tracking..." 4100 speed and the much larger is the really important part; your reported three days with 'everything' on is impressive. How long did it take to charge? I would have liked to see some bluetooth testing as well, as in how far from your phone before losing connection. I hope, and trust there will be an LTE version and... that there are operators that will activate it.

Great vid! Hows the actual performance, does it get choppy at all? I have the orig tic pro and with the less ram on it, it gets really choppy on it... even if i factory reset its fine for a day or two before it gets all choppy again. Have you noticed any more noticeable slowdown yet with it? Thanks!
Passing from a watch face to a different one when activating the amoled is kind of goofy.
It also has an always on display.
What is the max. activation time for the amoled display (watchface)? 🤔

Great Video, not so great product. Received a faulty unit out the box, LCD missing some lines. Two days later a response from Mobvoi asking if I showered with the unit.....WTF?! 7 days later, no response whatsoever from Mobvoi. Bad product and even worse after sales service!!!!

Can you disable the LCD and use it like a normal smart watch with tilt to wake? Pushing a button to access the amoled screen seems really annoying.

Trying to decie on my next watch. Down to basically the TicWatch Pro 3 or the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. GW3 has more features, but costs more, and there are features that ONLY work with a Samsung phone (ECG, BP). I have a Note 9 now, but who knows about the future? The TW3P has most of what I want, is a little cheaper, and works on any phone. This is hard!
Would you still buy this in 2023? Also, do you need to carry your phone with you to use NFC? Thanks!

Don’t try ordering one though - Mobvoi currently taking orders but are actually out of stock and aren’t communicating this with customers. Huge delay in getting them to people. Bit of a mare for a lot of people at the mo.
