  • In my first review of a Mitsubishi on this channel, I thought I'd add a throwback to when I first had the ambition to start reviewing cars on RUclips. However, times have changed. This is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander GT, based on the same platform as the Nissan Rogue. Let's go for a drive to find out what this new Outlander has in store!

Excellent review. You're right about harsh ride because of large wheels. Bumps on the roads really travel to your body. I think a subaru would be better with its best offroad capability

I just purchased a 2016 outlander GT and the third row is perfect for a family of 4 plus 2 dogs. We also got 4 adults in it and all of our travel baseball stuff, which included a 10 x 10 tent, 3 folding chairs, a cooler, a wagon, a baseball bag and three shopping bags of misc items. This truck is a steal compared to what's out there, rides good, is capable in snow and dirt and gets decent mpg. If your looking for a affordable family hauler and travel a lot, please take a look at the Outlander.

Great review. Late to the comments here, but I picked up a 2022 ( same platform as the 23) Outlander LE premium recently and love it. I find the suspension tuning fairly firm with little body roll or floaty feeling, but the 20 inch wheels are harsh, for sure. The brakes feel pretty solid and maybe a bit too grabby on mine, but I test drove a RAV4 and those brakes were weak and spongy, like you described the Outlander's. Yes, the engine/CVT is built for economy not speed, and the cargo space is very versatile. Will be removing the useless 3rd row soon for even more space.

But the vehicle has an autonomous braking system to stop by itself in case you're hitting a deer. I don't think the break is an issue, but the third-row sit is awful.

I just think if you're after a better driving experience....then 50k on a sports car is much better.
But if you want utility and a bigger car with camping functions and great warranty....then it's pretty damn good

It's strange that when you see vehicles reviewed they usually have light interiors. If you visit a car lot almost everything has coffin black interiors. If you want the interior to show up on a RUclips video, it has to be light and bright.

The need to get rid of the 3rd row of seats or make it optional

So I think your review was ok, however you clearly do not like Mitsubishi. 5 year 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty with a 10 year 160,000 km. Powertrain warranty is outstanding and should be praised and matched by competitors. In 2015, we bought a new Outlander and has been an amazing vehicle. Oil changes and brakes, just replaced the tires. This vehicle is made in Japan, and has very high quality, not made in Mexico, like so many low quality vehicles.

Test drove one of these the other day. NOT the Hybrid... gas only. G-U-T-L-E-S-S. If you want something with more pep. AVOID this car. It looks nice...but...
