  • Review of the RIPP supercharger after 3 months and 3600 miles.
    Runs great, awesome power!
Did not see increase in fuel mileage, didn’t expect one but others said they had a few mpg gain. I get 14mpg as I did before on highway drives. No longer hunts gears when you need power. Set the cruise at 75mph and it will hold it in overdrive.

My Jeep's still running strong out here, RIPP!!! Tell Ross I'm at about 30k miles on the whole setup, daily driven, wheeled, towing, etc... :0)

I'm about to purchase this kit used with 9,000 miles on it. do you have any tips on what to look out for? what all have you has to do tuning wise? maybe different injectors? any other info you have price wise on anything not included in the kit can you please share

The kit had everything needed to do the install as it’s all bolt on. That included the injectors as well. I got the kit on sale for around $3500 from RIPP directly in early 2023. Pricing may have changed but they seem to run deals often if buying new. I’d be careful buying used as you don’t know the condition it’s in as well as how they cared for the charger and services on it. I did an aluminum oil cooler while I already had everything out of the way, that was the only additional expense.

@JeepingJimmy I ended up purchasing it and sending it back to ripp under their refurbish program, and the kit is now installed on my jeep!

I haven’t had any issues with a CEL. The tuning has been great for being their basic tune. I’m debating getting a custom one for here in Utah and high elevation. Other than that the kits been great, still enjoying the added power!

@@JeepingJimmy Hey Jimmy. I live in Cottonwood Heights Utah and I have had my RIPP SC'd 2012 supercharged for around 30k miles. I did custom tune it (myself) and I'm running a Snow Performance water/methanol injection kit and the combination is the jam, man. It runs cool and pissed off all year long. I'd love to compare notes some time. I don't know anyone else in the area running a similar setup. In fact, it runs so good that I can't really think of anything else I'd rather drive. I'll probably run this motor until like 150k miles or so and then just do a rebuild or something. It's silly fast for a Jeep. Even in this 100 degree weather!
