I watch RIPP Supercharger videos often for no reason; I'm not even intent on supercharging my vehicle...
But I do want to say that you guys seem to be putting out very high quality stuff. So maybe one day when I have my own money I'll put a RIPP product in my car. The customer engagement looks very promising. On the consumer side, this is how business should be done. Nice work.
Thank you
Waiting on that 2020 Durango v6 kit. Looking forward to it guys, ship it directly lol.

I encountered my first RIPP JK and kept hearing a whistle from it at idle...I came here here with an awe of what I've now heard about your product...I went to school with your videos before I got to talk to him, and he was nice enough to indulge me with some info...he had 37's but didn't know ratio for gears.... he said it was done in riverside, where we live....one of my favorite vehicles by far. Thank you for the education and will continue.

I'm rather new to the car world. I'm a 17 year old whos getting a v6 2013 charger when i'm 18. I wanna get some power in that engine, and I was directed to the RIPP supercharger. I have no tools or REAL knowledge to install this. I'd need to learn maintenance. Also I would need to modify suspension or anything to make the car comfortable with the new power? Would the vehicle remain reliable for daily use to and from work/errands? Finally, who can I get help from? For install, learning maintenance, and/or whether my engine is good for it? If I can't get help I might just leave it stock and buy a different car for some power. I want my charger to stay happy.
Edit: Yes I have the 3.6L VVT it's not an R/T or anything. Everything is completely stock too.
Can i still use my superchips traildash 2 ? Or am i stuck using your Diablo tuner ?

Ever plan on making any for the 3.5?
We do not foresee going further back.
I was just wondering because you can pick up a 3.5 charger/challengers for under 10,000 now might be worth it for people to buy a supercharger at that price for a less inexpensive car
@@whitetailsurvival2430 the supercharger kit would be over half the price of the car. It's more likely more people would walk away then invest in heavy power adders like a supercharger. Additionally the tuning PCM in the 3.5 isn't very strong in some aspects making it difficult to drive.
Does it come with the PCM already unlocked????
Not so much worried about the engine as I am about the transmission. How are they holding up with conservative tune on the 2012 challengers?
The 5 and 8spd are very solid all the way up to 500+whp... no problems below that hp. But.. if you want to break things, you can break anything even with just 90hp LOL.
Does cold weather like a canadian winter have any effect on it
Hello @vinceprentice,
There should be no issues with the cold weather, but if there is, we have a Gearcase heater that we sell for just that circumstance located here, rippmods.com/products/ripp-supercharger-gearcase-heater?_pos=1&_psq=heater&_ss=e&_v=1.0 on our website. If you have any additional questions, or need more clarification, please email RIPPmods@RIPPmods.com, we will gladly help you there.
This will definitely void factory warranty, you should know they'll void a warranty over a piece of lint on the intake and claim it was "modified" haha! But you should definitely speak to your warranty company and make sure first. My aftermarket intake almost voided mine.
On the Jeep side, we go very highly regarded, there are many dealerships that actually install our kits.
RIPP Superchargers not my dealer tho. I have a CAI in my jeep and i asked if it would be a warranty issue and the guy said 'yes but they don't need to see it' so i got lucky there. Someday I'll supercharge my jeep.....someday
This video was fantastic. RIPP does one of the best jobs talking directly to customers through these videos.

Hamburgers Superchargers is in talks with FCA to have their 3.6L products be offered as a MOPAR accessory. Has RIPP thrown their hat into the game?
No, we are not interested in the restrictions FCA would apply to these systems. The OE would dumb down the kit to very litte power much like the TRD kits for Toyota.

This a question better posed to the service center working on your vehicle. We always recommend performance shops or becoming acquainted with your vehicle to do maintenance yourself.
What is the top end speed of the jeep grand Cherokee after the ripp supercharger is installed?
Thank you for the comment. This is a great question. The supercharger does not change the top end speed of the vehicle. The stock top speed is around 120 mph. In tuning we remove that limiter. The only limit to the speed is the gear that the vehicle is in.

i know addressed high millage vehicles, but how high millage is okay, i have a 2014 grand cherokee with 180,000 miles. Still runs smooth, would the supercharger be too much on this engine?
The best thing to do is run through the engine, do the stated tests like compression and flush coolants and so on. We have clients who have eclipsed 180k mileage on the a SC engine.
The transfer case on AWD models, can it handle your supercharger, anyone reported any issues thus far? I have been having a conversation with some AWD V6 Charger / Challenger folks and there has been some talk about the transfer not being able to hold up with the power that the Ripp supercharger is putting down and also not being able to handle to stated 507whp/ 454tq power that these new twin turbo systems that are coming out are claiming . Any info or thoughts on this?
The AWD transfer case has had zero failure reports over the five year period and 2000 plus V6 cars and SUV kits we've sold. RIPP does an enormous amount of product testing before it responsibly releases HP numbers and kits. We demonstrate 430whp on our superchatger kits and have no position on other manufacturers and what they may release and claim. However we have many clients who have turned their power up to 500whp and subsequently went with a stronger transmission, but again no issue with transfer case. Lastly, we have a large number of clients with thr same transfer case as the cars in their Grand Cherokee and Durango V6 and V8 powered SUVs. Along with just wanting more power, they also tow campers and other trailers, this is even more load on the drivetrain than just power - still no issues reported with engine or drivetrain.
@@RIPPMODS Thank you very much for your in depth and informative reply, that all makes perfect sense! If you could, please let us know how the Ripp Supercharger can be upgraded to put out 500whp and what type of stronger transmissions were used.
@@maryannschmidt9945 the supercharger we supply with all our kits I'd capable of 800hp, all thr supporting items can as well, its all in the tuning. If you wish to shoot for 500whp all you have to do is go for a local hotter tune and commit to better fuels for that tune. There is a company out there building the 8spd up and swapping out the transmissions torque converter for more power, but again this is for the 500+whp range. Most of our clients are completely content at the 430whp as a first round and then build up the second phase to 500whp. Also, keep in mind with the proven 18% drivetrain loss 430whp is 510 crank, our base kit is more power than 392 SRT 🙂
I have a question about the Auto Trans. Curious on how the Auto Holds up with No Mods on a 2015 JKUR?
Well, with over 8000 kits sold worldwide the transmissions have held up to the added power wonderfully. In stock form they should be good for many problem free miles. The transmission is a NAG1 which is the stock trans in the first gen SRT Jeep, very strong.
Awesome, that’s what I wanted to know. I’ve modified a few diesels, and I know they produce way more Torque, but Transmission Upgrades are a Must before power adders.
Thank you for your time.

One question I have, I have seen a couple of your videos with std tyres and 40" in the JL and they still make in the 370rwhp area. Doesnt the bigger tyres rob the engine of HP? Are you changing the boost for this or is it that this power robbing isnt visible on the dyno?
The topic is covered in the JL video. The host explains the power and how its affected by larger tires.
ruclips.net/video/j-xkvKTHLNI/видео.html
@@RIPPMODS Ive seen that and it doesn't explain the answer to my question.
@@troyd-motorsport9933 larger tires take a big chuck of HP away and paired with improper gearing will lose even more. The HP will also peak very very late and therefore contribute to a sluggish vehicle.
It is only relevant to your application. Meaning you regear first for your tire size. The new pcm will have the built in parameters to accommodate your tuning setup with your boost adjustments on the dyno. All added weight to any vehicle is going to “rob” HP . We go by benchmarks combined. Before RIPP and after RIPP, both on the dyno and then both on a track. Other than that drop the weight if you want to squeeze out a few more HPs … we can run Baja plastic trimmed fenders, drop the winch, delete the spare tire, might as well drop the front and rear bumpers too… the mountain can never be conquered … more can always be done, man has died trying to prove this to each other. Hope it was worth the read … it’ becomes personal perspective too!

Clutches don't blow as a result of adding thr supercharger, its a wear item. It will either hold or it will not. That said you can go to a stage 1 or 2 which would be fine. If you start adding Stage 3 it will be very tiring over trails and traffic.

RIPP Superchargers awesome!
How much does it generally cost for labor i want to get one but i think the labor will be sky high.
It's a 8-10 hour install - depends on shop rate. The shop will not need to fabricate anything and we come with pretty solid base tuning.
RIPP Superchargers sounds like a long install... A good "do it yourself video" will have to do🤔.
Do you have a tune for the e85 8 spd trans cars
Our systems are tuned on 91 - 93 octane only. We currently do not support e85.
Ok but here’s the three questions we really wanted answered
1. Can you do a video of dyno run with v6 GC with a tazer so it’s RWD only? Would like to see if it gets closer to the 450 put out by v6 challengers. (Or a single rolling video, yet to find one)
2. Also, can we talk ethanol? Seriously. A lot of WK2s are flex fuel and tuned correctly could have huge power gains. How do you never mention fuel or octane ratings? Do you guys just have a single file tune with the kit that magically adapts to just any old fuel that gets dumped in there or what?
3. Whys it hella expensive, especially with what seems to be a basic, universal tune? Literally every single other tuning company out there specifies exactly which fuel to use with their tunes. Every single one. Ever.
No problem - we are super transparent in our advertising and can easily address this:
1) A Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) Grand Cherokee is basically a car, so you could just imagine that it would follow all of the RWD HP numbers. We present those cars at 430-450RWD-HP. Additionally, if we were to demonstrate an All Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicle in RWD skeptics would call us out and say our claims are illegitimate. For this matter we lean towards the actual vehicles configuration and that's how it's presented. 450rwd HP is easy, it's just a matter of getting it tuned locally. We present all our cars conservatively and on 91oct fuel. As a company we need to be responsible for all manners of drive conditions and fuel, 400 is a great target considering it's up 200whp from stock AWD-HP that we nearly always take the time to demonstrate... there aren't many mods that bring that sort of power safely and we do it consistently and presented in a professional manner.
2) Sure, lets talk about ethanol and how inconstant it is, we can't even get ethanol in NYC, so how are we gonna tune on it? We consider flex-fuel a user option. If you want to use it, tune for it on your available fuels, we are not going to offer this as an option. ALL RIPP KITS ARE TUNED ON 91oct which is the national average. We mention it often and it's all over our instructions as well - no magic, just responsible tuning.
3)What?- 6k for a full bolt-on kit all components and tune included is basically the norm. If you're comparing us to a competitor please name them and we'll be happy to explain our differences. Additionally, we are made in the USA, there is a premium to this and the nature of the beast. Have you priced a head unit from Vortech which comes with our kit? - for reference check it out and the rest of the kit:
-V3-Si Trim with quiet gear drive.
-FIC Injectors
-HP Tuners or Diablosport with all credits and dongles included
-Custom OEM fit MAP sensor - no splicing or stupid adapter block
-Vortech Race BOV
-All aluminum pre-bent piping and 5ply silicon couplers with SS clamps (no plastic here)
-Huge Tube and Fin Front mount intercoolers
-Gates Kevlar wound belt
-KN Air filter with RIPP branding
With reference to your fuel type, we've addressed this twice before - Our tune is dialed in conservatively and you (AS A CONSUMER) SHOULD ALWAYS bring YOUR car to the dyno and dial it in. People who think you can run 200+ more WHP to a project car and then basically call-out the manufacture for NOT providing every single kit detail is an already long 6min DEMO video is a bit much in our opinion. Additionally you would like the kit to be "more like 450" and again be a single bolt on with no effort on your part. Seems a bit unrealistic - that's a 250 WHP- Bolt on out of the box OR IN REAL AWD terms a 300 Crank HP gain (WOW), what other kit does this - prefabbed, all inclusive and out of the box for a NA car?
If you are looking for even more details we also have email and you can always just give us a call and we can elaborate on the kits hardware, gaskets and oil for the compressor.
RIPP Superchargers the way you spend half of each video commenting on “stupid comments” and take time to make these kind of comments trying to break things down Barney style like I’m over here munching on crayons is enough for me to take my business somewhere else. You’d probably have time to provide more maps if you spent less time explaining 700 times the difference in crank and wheel HP. Like holy shit man we get it
@@brandonf4087 Dude - the world does not revolve around what you know - right? Additionally if you don't appreciate the time WE take to do videos there's A) a little red bar at the bottom of each video you can use to skip to the end, becasue the end has the info you want or B) buy the next guys stuff who takes the time to test each and every product they try to shove down your throat to be "like" RIPP... Firstly we'd say we have sold over 8000 kits worldwide. Additionally we'd say have you seen any data from our competitors making any horsepower near ours or presenting to you as clearly and concisely as we do? Additionally have you seen any third party installers making any power with their unit like you see across nearly all social media and forum settings? Next we'd say that the supercharger you get from RIPP is 1100cfm and good for 800hp. That means it operates very soundly and well within its limits for years of trouble free use. We'd point out that our competitor used a 600cfm compressor and over drives it to kinds-sorta be within a sliver of our rear wheel HP, but really we out power them in all RPMs. Lastly we'd say that you get what you pay for 😊
Why don't you guys do turbochargers as well?
On a 3.6 it is more of a risk of lifting a head and internals failing due to the monoport head. We can achieve great power gains with an easier system to install. No exhaust modifications, no oil lines that need to be ran and less points of failure overall.
