I have 475k on my 07 bought new. Replace driver side manifold. Use 2010 aftermarket 3 piece catalytic converters/Y pipe. Stock Y pipe cracks driver side manifold. Will need to use 2010 O2 sensors. On EGR VALVE use lucas gas treatment. Also remove egr to intake pipe. Pipe gets blocked with carbon at airintake. Scrape out carbon ever 200k miles
Hey man I’m having code p0404. egr valve. Can you go in depth a little about spraying with Lucas gas treatment? Why not carb cleaner? And I just spray from over the top? Cleaning the pipe just makes sense so I will do that. Just got my jeep and I wanna make it last. Trying to learn as much as possible
Have 2 Wranglers, 2016 JKU 75th and 2010 JK Rubicon, gotta say I love that 3.8 much better than that 3.6 “PantyStar”. Both have 58k miles, and 2016 has already had oil filter housing, rear main seal, radiator & TStat failures. The 3.8, only and EGR valve code, that cleared on its own (was not driven for 3 weeks) when I changed the oil with a good synthetic (Pennzoil Ultra 5W20) and used Mobil gasoline.
I have an 07 wrangler 41 edition. I have a simplex supercharger on it and the EGR went out and the thing went nuts! took me forever to figure out a simple issue.
Not trying to be a dick, but I doubt it added any power , or throttle response. I've been building and tuning engines for decades, including several Jeep Strokers. For the coil to add anything it would require the stock one to be too weak to fire the intake charge at the correct time. Since you didn't add more compression, more cam timing, more fuel , etc , there is no reason to believe the stock coil wouldn't be enough to fire the air fuel mixture. For the throttle body to do anything it would mean the throttle body was restricting more air than the intake, cylinder head, and valves are capable of flowing. Again because you didn't put a bigger cam in it, bigger valves, do any head or port work, etc there is little reason to believe the stock throttle body was a restriction. Again, not trying to be a dick , I've just seen it too many times. When you, me , or anyone else spends a bunch of money on cool parts your butt dyno tells you it's making more power, when in reality it makes the same, or may even make less.... If you want to know for sure buy a draggy and test it with the stock parts and then the aftermarket coil and throttle body on it.
Kind of what I thought too. Thinking about a cold air intake and a exhaust and something to calibrate tire size that would probably be the only thing that would do anything at all.
What I find funny is the idea of putting the Viper TB on was to increase airflow into the engine. But then he installs a coupler to the stock OD air intake tube, thus negating any increase in air flow.
@@RashadsGarage everything but the throttle body is still going strong. I don’t know if I got a bad one or what but it would throw a code on and off and give me a dead pedal. So I just put the factory one back on. The 3.8s still kicking 200k plus miles now with 40s
Gave it a bit better gas mileage from before. The only way to make it pull harder or faster you'd have to boost it or put a V8 in the thing. It's just a little V6 with little to no power with BIG tires and alot of weight. lol
There is a video put out by RIPP I think with stuff they did to a 3.8 that got some decent gains. And you realize more gains on a manual 3.8 than an Auto. If the turbo was Cheaper they would sell a ton of them. Several friends still have these but at $5600 supercharger is too much for them.
Agreeds from aruba (caribbean island) Bro.. thanks 4 that clip... is very hard to get everithing on aruba but thanks for give the ip on amazon, and why is the red coil.?
Usually when you're in park it won't allow you to Rev to high. I heard that the transmission throws fluid out of the tube if you do. Idk if that's even true it's probably just a safety feature incase your kid stomps on the gas playing around or something
I've had the tune on for a long time so thats nothing new. Ripp says the coil adds mid range power and trottle response. The trottle body is adding alot more air at wide open thrrotle. I'd say adding both probably made the notice of better response more noticeable.

475k miles ? That is by far the record of mileage for this motor, that even puts the 4.0 in the dust.
And that makes a difference in how it runs out maybe that's why I'm not getting all my hp

@@kirkvilla9781 yeah, I actually ended up changing mine twice, as well as the EGR tube.
Putting 8mm ignition wires helps as well most stock ones are 6mm I’d also recommend E3 spark plugs!
I tried the E3's and they didn't do much for me and I had one foul on me, first time ever having that happen.
I considered trying this i did that to my older bronco and it made a difference

Now that would be a good video. Dyno compare add ons

Absolutely correct without actually blueprinting a motor all this stuff is just keep it just stock unless you really want to modify it
just trying a mod. ended up not working any way. but now you don't have to try it
Any electrical related parts I only go OEM.
If adding a throttle body, why not add a K&N kit as well ?
have a banks air intake
And that's why you mark your wires before you take them off ..
Hey how does the Jeep feel after a few years with these parts? I’m about to install the throttle body today

Pacesetter makes a good set of long tube headers spintech 6000 is the perfect Muffler.✌❤😆
Looking for engine and auto transmission wires for wrangler 3.8 liter petrol model 2010
Great video!

No CEL coming on 🐠?
If you turn your hat around, you won’t need those glasses 🤓

Its Just the Color that Ripp makes there Performance coils
Bright color makes go faster.
No CE lite ?
What did you figure out with the limp during the install? Did that clear itself out?
It turned out to be nothing. It was just warming up so it wouldn't let it free rev. Got it on the road and drives normal

Run spark wires over top of engine
Where did you get the throttle body from
Amazon. This is the link to the one I bought amzn.to/2REEoKO
Can't rev it with door open
How do you know that the throttle body is the cause of better throttle response and not the ripp or the tune

No. Maintain it, take care of it and it will last. At 3 mph on the rocks 400 hp is useless.
Why does your jeep make such much noise?
It has a exhaust leak
@@Samthe1yt had the same happen to my 2008 JK my bolt fell out holding the cat on. U can check that out could be a easy fix
Yes i love me some "profronace"😂
31k views and finally some caught it and put it in the comments 😂😂😂
In Oregon you stay in between the white and yellow lines but you drive a Jeep and no mud why would you even own one
Buy a Kia
