Love seeing Andreescu back playing well again. One of the most charismatic players out there and her combo of huge power + variety is great to watch. I thought she would threaten Swiatek but after dropping the first set the Iga Bread Store reopened for business and RIP to the Canadian. What Swiatek is doing is incredible. The WTA is in phenomenal shape right now.

Unfortunately it is not the resilience and mental strength that helped her get where she is but rather the low level other tennis players are showing. Really since
Barty quit and Osaka lost her mojo there is really no other real contender out there. Bianca has the mental strength and skill to be a real contender but not before she plays more tournaments to make up for the lost two years dealing with injuries , Covid and mental issues. For Bianca there is no better player but rather just another contender. She is also gracious and respectful of other players and fans unlike Azarenka and others who swear at those who pay their salaries.
When Iga is focused, she plays like in the second set without giving any chances to her rivals
Sorry, you are delusional or you haven't seen Andreescu's other matches. Andreescu played very far from her abilities. No variety at all, very poor shot selection. There is no world in which an in-form Andreescu has no chances against Swiatek.

Seeing Iga winning so many matches is putting me under immense pressure.. idk what she might be going through at the moment... I thought that a loss before french open will be a good as it will relax her nerves before going to Paris. But she shows no signs of stopping. If she wins Rome she will be the first player since Serena in 2015 playing in a grand slam with tons of pressure. But once again this all will be remembered in history if she gets her trophy in Paris. I just hope she wins RG 🏆

Two of my favorite players. Iga though was super dominating.
Great to see Bianca back! Iga is phenomenal! She really feels like the full package. She has a rare combination of power/depth but also opens up the court with her spins and angles. It feels like her opponents don't have enough time to react and when she gets an opening she pounces and capitalizes on the moment.
She has that Djokovic like footwork, prediction and change of direction of ball. Makes her feel like a brick wall and always in control of a point with controlled aggression. She will only get better and better as long as her she stays physically and mentally healthy.
Iga is amazing. Don't tease the Polish Panther because she'll turn on the turbo :) But also Bianca Andreescu deserves a lot of credit for the first set.

The bagel princess dominating again! Bianca had her moments in the first set but was not enough against the best player in the world. 1GA simply overwhelmed Bianca with her quickness and solid top spin groundstrokes that made Bianca gasping for breathe. 1GA is simply amazing to watch. Her next opponent screamalenka will be another interesting match to watch.

Soon . Bianca can be cunning when cornered but she just needs more games to reach top form. She is so smart as a player. She learns the opponent and only a matter of time before she regains the top spot. A Bianca in top form and injury free is a real threat for any opponent. After all she beat Serena so she can pretty much beat anybody. I personally like Bianca’s play more than anyone else’s because she is a fighter not a master of cookie cutter shots. I like when she shows her best in critical moments and that’s what makes me wait for the next game she plays. No other player had that effect on me. The two years she was out I just watched tennis occasionally filled with boredom. Now I have a reason to watch tennis again.

To cement her position at No. 1 for longer, I hope Iga can make her serve a bigger weapon and to introduce drop-shots into her game. She will become a more rounded player for all court surfaces.
Iga used drop shots in every match in 2020 and 2021, like literally every other game she tried to drop shot. Now she obviously changed her tactics and i guess its working out well for her. The first serve improvement tho is a real must
Good job by Andreescu coming back from 3 - 5 and forcing the tiebreak in the first set. Have to admit, after that set, I didn't see the bagel coming. Once Iga adjusts to her opponent, she kicks it into another gear and dominates. It's so impressive.
Not really. IMO after the incident with the awful call during the tiebreak, Andreescu lost composure, and seemingly the desire to win. I've seen Andreescu's previous games and she played much worse than before, no variety at all

Bianca always so nice congratulating the opponent at the net, so glad to see you back on tour (please stay healthy). Iga reminds me of Djokovic (not his fan), the opponent has to give 100% in the first set and end up losing the the 2nd (and 3rd in men) set very easily because the tank is already empty, both physically and mentally. Iga is a beast.
Woman Tennis is finally back!! IGA is so fit and with great anticipation. Humble too. Such a bless to Alcaraz on the man’s tour and IGA on the woman side.

Iga is playing like a true champion right here. It's the same thing that can usually happen with Rafa and Novak. Their opponent plays a great first set and is very competitive, but they manage to clutch out the first set anyways. Afterwards, their opponent runs out of steam and can't keep up anymore. Iga has been doing the same thing in recent matches. She clutches out the difficult sets and simply gives her opponent no chance afterwards. It's great to see!
Iga plays like a champ because all the good players have either retired, out with injuries or just returning from injuries. Iga would be no match for Osaka at her best. The current level in woman’s tennis allows newbies to excel just like Bianca did two years ago or Emma Raducanu last year. Let’s see how long Iga can keep it up

Swiatek is really an amazing player. Deadly on both wings. Also on high ball and low ball. You never will know where the winner will come from. Just scary playing with her now. Probably feels a little like playing Nadal in clay 😨

The last 26 matches Iga played against multi tour champions, multi grandslam champions, formers n. 1 and the only player close to beat her was Ludmila Samsonova which if you don't watch tennis very often you don't know her I would be sick with myself and my poor capacity to fight til the last point.
Ludmila Samsonova looked physically really fit and plays an aggressive game - a quality opponent in spite of her much lower ranking.
Swiatek Looks good to defend her 2021 rome title being even more experienced this time around. She is great at sliding into shots many other players would run thru instead. Swaitek seems to generate good pace and spin with a surprisingly compact technique.

Iga is unstoppable now. She is far ahead of all the other players. The only other player that can cause problem for Iga is Jabeur. Congratulation and good luck.
In first set Bianca Andreescu was the real deal for the world's best female tennis player. Bianca Andreescu never give up attitude was so difficult for Iga Swiatek to compete with. In the first set Iga Swiatek struggled to win it. Bianca's comeback's from 0:2 and 3:5 down was absolutely unreal. She for the whole 1st set was able to compete as equals with the very female tennis player on the planet. Just wow. Both played great. But in the second set Iga Swiatek did raise her level so much, that Bianca Andreescu wasn't able to keep up anymore. Despite second set bagel, Bianca played great and deserves praise for showing to us, just how good she really is. Although clay isn't her strong surface and it is only her third tournament, Bianca played great and is amazing tennis player. Iga Swiatek once again proved why she is by far world's best female tennis player. She played today absolutely insanely phenomenal. She showed unreal guts and determination. Iga Swiatek is truly the best female tennis player on the planet. Performance of both tennis players were great, but Iga Swiatek was on whole new level. Iga Swiatek deserves this win. She is amazing. Congratulations to Iga Swiatek on winning this match and getting to Semi-Final of this tournament.
Iga started the game in the second set wearing changed shoes. After the game, she said she picked the wrong shoes and had to change them. It helped raise my level of play- she said

Jazda, Iga! Beautiful struggle and victory. Bianca did her best, but Iga is a steamroller right now. Her focus is above everybody else's, and her athleticism and character are such that even if you have her down a set and you're on match point in the second, you cannot count her out. She will claw her way back. Iga just has too much for everyone else. Does this mean she is unbeatable? No. She can most certainly be beaten. But as long as she knows that, she will not be arrogant, and will make it harder for anyone to beat her. Jazda!

Swiatek has been winning the second set by 6-1 or 6-love almost every match. She is so dominating once the first set is in the bag.
2nd set is the opponent choice. Bagel or breadstick.
Very good second set... In the first Iga was so much tense and in a hurry... risked too much with no logical reason, so a lot of unforced. Keep calm and show your value tomorrow in the semifinal with Sabalenka, jazdaaaa! Bianca is such a great talent, a true pleasure to see her; but right now Iga is in a class of her own.
overall 14 of them the whole match, so pretty good and 27 winners, the problem is if u will give bianca time she will kill you and overpower you, which she showed recent weeks, rushing was a tactic and at the end it paid off
I am actually surprised to see Bianca getting so much in the first set. I've seen her previous games. It was looking like a different league. I suppose she put all her efforts, energy, skills and zeal into that one, and had left almost with nothing left for the second one.
... Or Iga is also a showman who knows how to raise interest and spice up the game not turning the fourth gear until last moment. Regardless it was roller coaster observing the score in google...

No great difference in talent as first set showed. Andresscu is not yet 100 % back to her best after long injury. She played very well than just tired which is completely understanding. Whereas Swiatek is 100% fit and playing selected tournaments and playing her best tennis ever.

In the first set, Iga bounced the ball with a force of 90-95%, and this resulted in a large number of minimal own errors. In the second set, she reduced the power of bounces to 75/80% and added rotation, which resulted in a minimum number of errors and a great final result.
This power of exchanges is enough for all current opponents. Iga probably realizes what power she has and it is this parameter that she skilfully operates, especially in the second sets. Good luck in your next matches.

Właśnie taka moc wymian wystarcza na wszystkie obecne przeciwniczki. Iga zapewne zdaje sobie sprawę jaką mocą dysponuje i właśnie tym parametrem umiejętnie operuje zwłaszcza w II-gich setach. Powodzenia w następnych meczach./
Bounce nie znaczy po angielsku "uderzenie" czy "uderzyć piłkę"- tylko kozioł piłki. Powinieneś użyć słowa "shot, groundstroke, stroke, hit".

Nice win by Iga. Happy to see Bianca playing the swell, after just a couple of tournaments since injury, and on her least favorite surface. Would love to see what she can achieve by Wimbledon and US Open.

There is such a big difference in fitness level between these 2 players that it is a wonder that Andreescu was able to achieve an TB in first set. Second set was a hike in the park as expected.

It is a matter of good behaviour to use the language that could be understood by most of the audience, if possible. Of course, if you are not speaking English it is also okay to use a native, in this example, Polish language.

Z Sabalenką musi właśnie tak zagrać, to będzie trudniejszy mecz niż ostatnio. 🍀🇵🇱
Jestem bardzo rozczarowany postawa Sabalenki w kolejnym meczu z Igą.
Nie pokazała NIC, zagrała 20% tego co grała w finale w Stuttgardzie.
