You can say whatever you want but u all cant deny that Iga is one of the best at that age (22 already) in history of this sport. Its hard to be better than Navratilova and others but she is just one of the best young player over the years if we just stick to statistics! And she still has room to improve! Just have fun and pleasure to watch one of the best in the makin :)

Against Tormo and Gracheva, Iga mixed her game up a lot to get past them (hitting winners I haven't seen Iga hit in a while). She ran Linette all over the court and wore her down. Against Garcia, her backhand was particularly effective. Against Gauff, the inside-out forehand was on point throughout. And against Samsonova, Iga dialed back the aggression and let Samsonova hit a ton of errors. Iga won this tourney with improved serving, clean/powerful hitting, excellent defense, the occasional net game (!) and adapting her game to each opponent.

Świątek absolutely suffocates opponents. Brilliant return, amazing footwork, deep groundstrokes that redirect the ball with pace, and an ability to be offensive or defensive as necessary. I've noticed she's also improved her serve and brought back some of the variety seen in her 2020 RG run.

They hired Jerzy Janowic, a Wimbledon semifinalist, best ranking #14 , but his serve speed was 145 mp/h. You can’t do miracles during the season but all serve statistics have gone up, and agains Ljudmila she hit the first serve with 112 mph + directly to the body. So it doesn’t always need to be ace.

The final is always a pressure but she had the experience of 15 won titles before this one, and few lost finals, so she had the advantage over Samsonova. And in Junior ITF rankings, from 14-18 yrs, she was ranked all the years in top 3, and won Wimbledon Junior Title. So she just didn’t pop up from nowhere.😮

@@jukkao.parviainen8669 Indeed. Every tennis fan who has been following careers of young players, could see that Iga is not your average girlie. Seven ITF Circut finals won, junior Wimbledon in singles won, gold medal at Youth Olympics, SF of junior Roland Garros in singles, junior RG in doubles, final of WTA 250 in Lugano, victory over Woźniacka, tight match vs. Osaka in Toronto... People interested in tennis smelled big trophy for Iga, especially on clay, which is her natural environment. Watching her Paris run in 2020 was just mesmerizing. The way she dismantled Halep was just breathtaking. Tl;dr she's a generational talent. Poland is so lucky to have such champ.

The title means a lot to her. Her 75-week streak as #1 is the third-longest in WTA history for a first-time World No.1, trailing only Stefanie Graf (186 weeks) and Martina Hingis (80 weeks). Holding the #1 spot for the first time is much more challenging than the subsequent times. She had a difficult start to the season due to injuries. As a result, she had to compete more intensively for the remainder of the season to retain her #1 position. If she can find the right balance between rest and competition, she has the potential to not only reclaim the #1 spot quickly but to be more dominant.
