You can see swiatek changed her tactics starting to hit the ball much dipper at the start of the rallies and only after starts with angles and coming to the net. Keeping the opponent so far back they can’t attack. Also she improved on her serve range and her raw power in ground strokes
    Well done Iga🔥🔥🔥

Iga is one of my favourite players and was so pleased when she won the French Open a few years ago. Definitely one for the future to challenge for the top spot after Ash Barty. She needs to develop her mental game more in the other three GS which I’m sure over time she will. A great win and it’s onwards and upwards for a great young champion. @@besty7 I don't really agree with this assessment. Maybe you have more knowledge than I do, however, I don't ever recall he held back her strength and physicality. Iga has been working with a strength coach, Marcin for a long time and she was a young girl during most of Piotr's coaching, so you generally don't want to over develop strength at such a young age. Look at what a young Serena looked like (kinda skinny) verses what she turned into in her 20's and 30's (like a power lifter). I remember Piotr saying he outlined a 2-3 year plan where he didn't want to overwhelm Iga with too many tournaments and instead use more time to work on improving her fundamentals in training sessions. I think Piotr has to be given a lot of credit for where Iga is today. He was her coach for 5 years and she became a dominant player in her teens.

Według mnie zrobili to genialnie, po sukcesie w R.G polecieli jeden sezon z T.S sprawdzając ile z nim osiągną.

Delighted! A very significant outcome for a ferocious 20 yrs old. An important step for her further improvement. In hindsight, her previous match with Sabalenka inspired her, reigniting her animal spirit. Kontaveit in a winning streak since St. Petersburg in wait to test her fitness. Good luck!

Great Iga! Congratulations warrior! Your victory is impressive. You are big and managed to defeat two ghosts in two days: Sabalenka e Sakkari. Great fighter and believed that she could win even with the score of 0-3. You deserve all the praise the wolrd

Impressive victory for Iga. She has greatly improved her tennis : the ground strokes are more powerful she comes to the net, her first service is faster and the quick on her second serve is very efficient, and she has also done a tremendous work on her mindset.
Many thanks to Maria for her fighting spirit and for her sportsmanship : she is a very high level tennis player and a lovely person. I wish the best to these both players for the future. The final between Iga and Anett is promising to be thrilling.

Yeay Iga ! Happy that she won . I won’t lie against Kontaveit it’s gonna be hard. Kontaveit not only hits the ball hard , but she’s also precise with her angles and is a good fighter . Even though she improved with that , what I observed is that Swiatek has a tendency to struggle with tigh / 3 setters matches and players that hit multiple angles effortlessly. She’ll need a solid game plan and apply it solidly just like her last two matches . She’s playing well rn .So I am looking forward to see what Iga is going to bring on the table . I think the chances are 50/50 . Will see. May the best win .

Iga beat Kontaveit in their last two meetings at the time when Kontaveit had her rise to top WTA level already started and her game became more prominent (Kontaveit was already playing 80-90% like she is playing right now) but yeah, Kontaveit is capable of beating Iga for sure. It will be a demanding match for both.

Iga is a headier player. Sakkari has beautiful form, and defends supremely, but doesn't shape her points as well. She proves vulnerable to smarter players, and in this case, one who also has skills to match. Tough loss, but Iga played better. Congrats to the Pole. She is really good!!
