As a playstation user that was great showcase from Xbox. It was the best showcase in a while. They needed this and delivered it. Now, I need Playstation to step up, which is why I was rooting for Xbox. Competition is needed so both companies don't get lazy.

Fable looked nothing in tone like old fable to me. Character better be customizable because the model they are using for these trailers is not my jam and will prevent me from purchasing.

I loved how they displayed how interactive the rpg elements are in the game. I noticed them jumping, different types of countering, etc when an enemy attacked. Seems like a crazy game to master once you get the timing right.
That Dragon Age trailer fkn broke my heart. It's supposed to get me excited and it did the exact opposite. It was basically everything I don't want Dragon Age to be, put in a trailer.
I have to say Xbox really killed it this year. It was amazing showcase. I can't wait to play avowed an fable. I was really excited for gears of war E day. The only thing I was disappointed there was no Fallout 3 and Oblivion remaster
Those were absolutely the best showings. Perfect Dark could be alright, but other than that, there really wasn't anything to get excited about. I WANTED to be impressed by Dragon Age, but that trailer was appalling.

I thought the same as well! It seems very interactive with perfect frame inputs vs enemies (jumping, dodging, countering on enemy attacks). Ugh I need more!
I'm a PC gamer that has dipped my foot into GP and not been that convinced. But this showcase blew me away. I've been so disappointed by MS/XB for so many years that I had no expectations for this showcase But, wow. The games they showed have me genuinely excited. Think I'll be subscribing to GP on a more permanent basis going forward. Kudos MS.
I'm a longtime Nintendo fanboy who eventually went all PC master race, but I just wanna say hats off to Xbox for keeping the E3 spirit alive! This is like the 2nd or 3rd year in a row where it feels like their summer event carries the summer season hype in E3's absence. Only thing I was a bit bummed about was the lack of big Japanese game reveals this year (not just for Xbox, but the whole industry). Otherwise, it was a great show!

And closing 1 studio doesn't mean they have no partnerships with Japanese studios. Sega/Atlus are putting all their stuff on PC/XB now, Square has marketing deals with them, so I was hoping to see more. Tango was awesome, but people weren't buying Hi-Fi Rush, even on Playstation.

Not only that, regulators would be all over them. They just need to continue their partnerships with them. I also wany a new Banjo, and I'm hoping they've got Toys For Bob working on it right now. Nintendo had Bandai-Namco make Smash Ultimate, Sega for F-Zero GX, Koei Tecmo for Hyrule Warriors & Age of Calamity, etc. so MS should work with some of outside studios to make use of their old IPs like Banjo & Killer Instinct. Even with the studio closures, they still have 30 studios. They have plenty of content in the works, but I want to see more variety & genre diversity in the future.

As someone who owns all consoles, but primarily plays on PS5. This showcase got me hyped for Xbox for the 1st time in what feels forever, and can finally play on my Xbox again. But man what did they do to Dragon Age!? Very concerned for the gameplay reveal

I prefer Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, Starfield, Forza Motorsport, Hellblade 2, Ghostwire Tokyo, Hi-Fi Rush and Flight Simulator, than games like God of War Ragnarok, TLOU 2, Horizon Forbidden West, any of the lasts Gran Turismos or any Spider-man.
I was happy to see Dragon Age but walked away with worry and put my thoughts in a video too. The first thing I thought about was Fortnite... The style change vs the older games was very jarring. And if they did a 180 on the graphics they could have done the same with the story. If this franchise gets PG13'd we're hosed. And since the parallels between DA: Inquisition and ME: Andromeda were very evident does this mean Mass Effect 5 is going to get the same treatment? Really hoping the gameplay in a few days settles the nerves I got about DA. DA needs to succeed. Without it succeeding ME5 might never happen.
It was a good showcase (all coming in 2024 and 2025) but my biggest criticism is that most of them were for games that were either already out or announced.
It's not gears of war 6 that got revealed it was a prequel to the first gears of war game.....the beginning of it all, gears 6 is still in development and is probably gonna get revealed at 2024 game awards, 2025 summer games fest or 2025 xbox showcase well just have to wait and see

@@bobjoe5937 there's like 40 or so free mods out right now, not to mention the flood that's coming. shocker, not everyone who uses mods on console is supporting bethesda's paid mods. dumbass. but yeah, it's pretty damn interesting they went THAT far with it. something like 30 gigs could've made sense, but maybe they did it because a lot of fallout 4's mods are more new items or new quests, that are weightier than perk changes, since it feels a bit closer to fo4 than skyrim. not to mention people being able to essentially have full on modded cities and whatnot later down the line.

The ability to explore the entire freakin planet…. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is already so incredible. I’m definitely hyped for MSFS 2024 with the new features they showed and especially the insane new levels of detail! You can really get close to stuff and it still looks great. It was an incredible trailer
In terms of names of games then possibly yes. If they showed Gears gameplay and a couple of the games looked better it would have been an easy 10/10. But if people just focus on the titles and are fans of these franchises then I don’t blame them giving this a perfect rating. Great comeback moment for Xbox. Now they just need these games to come out and not miss big.

It’s definitely one of the most unique and out of the box concepts i’ve seen in a while, and i respect anything that tries to push the boundaries of gaming and interactive storytelling.
This year with: All that has already came out and SF6 year 2, Persona 3 Reload and The Answer dlc, Octopath II, Starfield Shattered Space, Hypercharge, Sparking Zero, Sonic x Shadow gens, Black Ops 6, Xenoverse 2 dlc, MK1 dlc, DA: Veilguard and more THEN Next year with: Doom Dark Ages, Fable, GTA VI, Monster Hunter Wilds, SF6 Year 3, and that's just what we know so far for next year! So many games and content to look forward to!
I haven't played call of duty since Black ops 2 but the fact they are actually innovating and came up with something that we will be seeing in every FPS now got me on board

The 2 things I was waiting for, that are available, is unlimited resources and weight reduction or elimination. Base and ship building is so rough because of the resource cost, so this made me so happy for it to be here and I can finally dig into those systems.

Hats off to Xbox for a great showcase. It was an impressive showing overall and sets a good standard to follow. My favourite reveal was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. For anyone who's primarily on Playstation, I believe these games are confirmed to be coming to PS5 on release day so far: - Black Ops 6 - Doom: Dark Age - Dragon Age: The Veilguard - Fallout 76 DLC - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - Flintlock: Siege of Dawn - Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater - Diablo IV DLC - Sea of Thieves DLC - Mixtape - Assassin's Creed Shadows - Life is Strange: Double Exposure - Atomfall - Mecha Break - Wuchang Fallen Feathers Some of the other games at the showcase have not been officially confirmed yet while others (including some of the Xbox Studios exlusives) are also heavily rumored to be making their way to PS5 eventually. Lots to see for both Xbox Series X and PS5 here and more game announcements are always great for all consoles. Here's to hoping Sony (and Nintendo) take this as a benchmark and create some great showcases to follow going forwards.
If you notice in the Doom reveal there isn't a lot of crazy movement like the last game if any at all and that's because the Director Hugo Martin said this game is going to be more grounded meaning back to it's roots and not a ton of crazy mechanics like the last game

The thing I really appreciated about this showcase was that they showed ... games. No pandering crap, no filler, just .. games. Thank you, XBox!! But... no stealth drop of my Hexen remake!!! I'm mad!
One major complaint, where was the Fallout content? We got an excellent TV show and a Fallout 4 Next Gen Update this year. We're now seeing a surge in Fallout players across practically all games. Instead of capitalizing on it, we get a Fallout 76 DLC? Very weak imo. There would've been a (virtual) crowd roar for a Fallout 3/NW Remaster or a new Fallout game. Hopefully we see something like this next year, but most of the momentum might've slipped away by then.
Dude this showcase was amazing. The main games I’m interested in is: Starfield Shattered Space, Indiana Jones, Metal Gear Solid, Dragon Age, and that Gundam action game thats coming in 2025. Im a little worried about the Fable game. I’m not preordering that one.
There’s not a single thing starfield can do to fix the game other than a complete redo of the game. Fish bowl environments and multiple menus to navigate with empty environments with zero exploration. That can’t be fixed

Man the hype felt seeing the Gears trailer, as soon as I saw Dom I started yelling! Can’t wait to pop some heads with the long shot again.
Expedition 33 was my favorite new announcement. Game looks beautiful. Avowed and South of Midnight also look to be in my wheelhouse.

Those were absolutely the best showings. Perfect Dark could be alright, but other than that, there really wasn't anything to get excited about. I WANTED to be impressed by Dragon Age, but that trailer was appalling.

But this showcase blew me away. I've been so disappointed by MS/XB for so many years that I had no expectations for this showcase

I'm a longtime Nintendo fanboy who eventually went all PC master race, but I just wanna say hats off to Xbox for keeping the E3 spirit alive!
This is like the 2nd or 3rd year in a row where it feels like their summer event carries the summer season hype in E3's absence. Only thing I was a bit bummed about was the lack of big Japanese game reveals this year (not just for Xbox, but the whole industry).
Otherwise, it was a great show!

Nintendo had Bandai-Namco make Smash Ultimate, Sega for F-Zero GX, Koei Tecmo for Hyrule Warriors & Age of Calamity, etc. so MS should work with some of outside studios to make use of their old IPs like Banjo & Killer Instinct.
Even with the studio closures, they still have 30 studios. They have plenty of content in the works, but I want to see more variety & genre diversity in the future.

I was happy to see Dragon Age but walked away with worry and put my thoughts in a video too. The first thing I thought about was Fortnite... The style change vs the older games was very jarring. And if they did a 180 on the graphics they could have done the same with the story. If this franchise gets PG13'd we're hosed. And since the parallels between DA: Inquisition and ME: Andromeda were very evident does this mean Mass Effect 5 is going to get the same treatment? Really hoping the gameplay in a few days settles the nerves I got about DA. DA needs to succeed. Without it succeeding ME5 might never happen.
I’m more of a PlayStation gamer but I’m GENUINELY happy that Xbox pulled off such a phenomenal show! Now THATS A SHOWCASE.
It was a good showcase (all coming in 2024 and 2025) but my biggest criticism is that most of them were for games that were either already out or announced.
Gears 6 reveal actually had me speechless. Hearing mad world on the Piano had me feeling 15 & ready to fight some Locusts again

but yeah, it's pretty damn interesting they went THAT far with it. something like 30 gigs could've made sense, but maybe they did it because a lot of fallout 4's mods are more new items or new quests, that are weightier than perk changes, since it feels a bit closer to fo4 than skyrim.
not to mention people being able to essentially have full on modded cities and whatnot later down the line.

I’m definitely hyped for MSFS 2024 with the new features they showed and especially the insane new levels of detail! You can really get close to stuff and it still looks great.

In terms of names of games then possibly yes. If they showed Gears gameplay and a couple of the games looked better it would have been an easy 10/10. But if people just focus on the titles and are fans of these franchises then I don’t blame them giving this a perfect rating. Great comeback moment for Xbox. Now they just need these games to come out and not miss big.

The 2 things I was waiting for, that are available, is unlimited resources and weight reduction or elimination. Base and ship building is so rough because of the resource cost, so this made me so happy for it to be here and I can finally dig into those systems.

Hats off to Xbox for a great showcase. It was an impressive showing overall and sets a good standard to follow. My favourite reveal was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

If you notice in the Doom reveal there isn't a lot of crazy movement like the last game if any at all and that's because the Director Hugo Martin said this game is going to be more grounded meaning back to it's roots and not a ton of crazy mechanics like the last game

One major complaint, where was the Fallout content? We got an excellent TV show and a Fallout 4 Next Gen Update this year. We're now seeing a surge in Fallout players across practically all games. Instead of capitalizing on it, we get a Fallout 76 DLC? Very weak imo. There would've been a (virtual) crowd roar for a Fallout 3/NW Remaster or a new Fallout game. Hopefully we see something like this next year, but most of the momentum might've slipped away by then.

Dude this showcase was amazing. The main games I’m interested in is: Starfield Shattered Space, Indiana Jones, Metal Gear Solid, Dragon Age, and that Gundam action game thats coming in 2025. Im a little worried about the Fable game. I’m not preordering that one.
There’s not a single thing starfield can do to fix the game other than a complete redo of the game. Fish bowl environments and multiple menus to navigate with empty environments with zero exploration. That can’t be fixed
