  • Returning to our Scottish roots for St. Andrew’s Day, we present the fourth in our series of short films commemorating the great saints.
In traditional Scottish style, we have a couple of beautiful Scottish pieces sung by two of our Choristers:
CEUD SORAIDH SLAN DHAN MHAIGHDEAN (Farewell to the Maiden)
written by Donnchadh Friseal (Duncan “Mor” Fraser) -
sung by Rhianna Boyle, recent winner of the Silver Medal at The Royal National Mod.
    BALLAD
A setting by our Patron, James MacMillan, of the poem by William Soutar -
sung by Anna NicGriogair (MacGregor), accompanied by Frances McEachen.
This is rounded off with a classic Scottish medley on accordion, performed by Elijah Smith.
Pour yourself a wee dram, sit back and enjoy this great Feast Day of St, Andrew, together with scenes from the ancient ruins of St. Andrew’s Cathedral and the town’s beautiful coastline.
A very Happy St. Andrew’s Day to all!
