Editor's Note: My edits were all made to keep the video on one, central topic by editing together relevant commentary from many parts of Hasan's streams to create a storyline that is still followable by the viewer. I also edited in commentary of my own in places, in addition to relevant external information that improves the viewing experience. A lot of edits were made for comedy purposes, or to enhance the comedic timing of certain beats, but never to misrepresent Hasan's point of view.

Some people dream of building the same sort of houses I built in the sims when I was 13.
Rich people have no style
“Art deco mansion with a lighthouse attached” is the sort of rich idiot passion project I want to see more of in the world. If I find out that Elon Musk lives in a normal house and not a giant house shaped like his own head, why even have billions of dollars at that point?
Yea, why would you not build a cock house if you had the money!?
the weird thing is when grimes and him were dating they were flexing on news reporters that they lived in shit apartments with just a mattress on the floor, both of them are insane
@@Wenonosa what is the point of having all that money if he’s just going to live like he’s in trainspotting?
@@0ptimuscrimehe can buy social media companies, duh. Then he gets them to felate him on it
I’d definitely attempt to build a deathstar if I was a billionaire
Hasan not understanding the appeal of a rugged coastline is kinda funny. But honestly he’s not wrong about the dude being dumb for not just moving- the guy literally could’ve packed his family up and bought a palace on the coast of Galloway, Scotland for like, a quarter of the cost. Then he could’ve built a dumb lighthouse there.
Fr moody coastlines are the best imo, cute little cottages and fish shops with interesting terrain to explore. I'm not gonna get a melanoma next to a massive loud city with people trying to sell me stuff non stop surrounded by thousands of people and palm trees😅
@@bingusboop3829I mean the house doesn't fit the area though. that's what I think Hasan was trying to say. the house was trying to be Ibiza but was located in England.
@solala1312 no I totally get that and I completely agree, the house itself is an eyesore. Cobbled walls, thatched roofs and quaint maximalism are the law of this land and this dude really tried to make a silicon valley penthouse. Hate to see it
I sure do not understand building a mansion to get the rugged coastline life. I have a small rugged cottage on a rugged coastline and that actually makes sense.
Sitting in that room during a storm and chilling covered in blankets with moody lighting seems like such a vibe
Yeah Hasan, as a New Englander born in a Hurricane, this house is extremely my shit. I love watching the sea and storms and hate going to the beach lmao
Sameeee I strictly stay on the beach and enjoy the waves
Hasan just not getting the appeal of a rugged, windswept coastline.
@@spiraljumper74Where else would I build my villain outpost/missile silo?
Yeah. I das gonna say Hasan acting like The Hamptons, Cape Cod and Ocean City don't exist and aren't extremely popular vacation destinations.
As an Australian, a beach in those weather conditions is not my vibe. But I can see the appeal - I especially love the idea of looking at a stormy beach from the comfort of a cozy interior space.
It’s the perfect “beach” to have a soap-opera car accident by driving over the cliff
@@0ptimuscrimea husband deep in debt drives off the same cliffs he was building on and people wonder how such an accident could've happened to a local
Its probably nice like 4-5 weeks out of the whole year, and even then its not guaranteed. Otherwise its just something to look at and maybe you can walk a bit. The sea breeze is probably nice too. British seaside towns have a nice cosy vibe to them if you like that.
Now I wanna see vlogs of hasan hiking/camping around devons coast in the rain eating fish and chips and sobbing to go home
bro, a four bedroom house, a living room with floor to ceiling glass, and some big windows would have been sick on it's own. Like a little humble home in the middle of nowhere on a cliff.
I'm actually someone who loves moody coastlines (bit of a stretch to call it a beach) like this but I think I would prefer to live in an actual lighthouse and I would not want to swim in that water.
The house itself isn't on the beach but Croyde (one of the most popular surfing destinations in the UK) is a very popular and picturesque beach just down the cliffs.
@@louiitrains yeah I thought I had seen a beach in one of the shots but wasn't sure. But that just makes it more bizarre that the family's favourite past time is jumping off rocks. Each to their own I guess.
If they made it look Victorian, it could've got the Lovecraft crowd. Who would buy a house that looks like that in a place like that?
Why have a lighthouse if it doesn't look haunted?
It is not Ibiza or LA; bright white empty wide-space houses on dreary coastlines don’t line up. 100% should’ve remodeled the old house, or made it victorian/maybe more of a decorative architecture
@@Wenonosa Gotta soak in the gloomy atmosphere and despair from every angle you know?
@@Wenonosan a place with mostly Victorian homes you can’t really do fake Victorian builds, it translates as very tacky in British culture when people do imitation historic builds, Tudor/Georgian/Victoriana especially.
Go straight up Gothic
A beautiful love story between a man and a house
I love how the aussie boys und hasan have become such good friends
match made in heaven
I miss AA (Alex and Aleksa) or AAA (Alex and Aleksa Alliance) with Hasan. They’re some of my favorite. Can’t wait for Stavros to come back.
hasan is such a positive person about something else than he likes, it warms my heart. looks like a beautiful place, not everywhere needs to be sandy beaches and palm trees.
I could listen to hasans aussie and british accents all day.
I love the fact that whenever the doc shows the countryside looking more appealing and less grey, Hasan isn't looking at the screen lol To be fair, a lot of the footage they use in Grand Designs is filmed throughout the year but they always use a lot of clips that were filmed in the winter months. Just like Hasan always likes to visit during the winter months and then complain that it is cold and grey.
Its great how all of this money was thrown into a hole next to a cliff.
16:50 Bad take. People build houses in LA on the sides of hills that are so steep, you have to be careful even driving up them
I reached the “why not just buy or build a villa in Ibiza” reasoning about 4:30 into the vid Lmao
All it has to offer is sun and doing molly/dancing to House music six months out of the year, the rest of the year its like a fuckin' ghost town coz 80% of the economy is based on tourism.
They did a 2023 update on the property, and it was "finished", but it was for sale by a developer who put the original owner out there again to help sell it and humiliate him.
If he just made that Eye thing? That would’ve made a killing. I myself rather like stormy weather. It’s comfortable for me.
A smaller, modern house that can weather a storm? That’s dope. I’m down. Lemme watch the storm n my chair, sipping on a glass of whisky. That’s my jam.
That chatter was right.. hasan was coming with the most LA guy takes
Hasan thinks all the coasts in England look like the Thames water 😂
They do though
Clearly not been to the West Country or Outer Hebrides even on Google.
@ThompsonFlash9999 bro needs to discover Cornwall
I’m halfway in…when is the part where they tell him he’s screwed because everything has been in a haphazard, start-stop-wait-start-stop-wait cycle for the better part of a decade, and the parts that have been built are now degraded to the point they need to demolish and start over?
Hasan goes to London and thinks he knows what the whole of England is like. Devon has a beautiful coastline
I acknowledge that it is definitely an outlying perspective, but I LOVE locations like that. I love crappy weather too. Here's why:
1) I have social anxiety and so when people have to deal with nature in different ways, it makes me feel more free. (snow, rain, wind, fog, etc)
2) Inhospitable places/weather, like cliffs, storms, and crazy ocean, is like a fear drug. Same reason I like monster movies, like Godzilla. Fear, reverence, awe. I love those feelings.
Bonus: I also LOVE humidity. I think I love every type of climate except dry climates and deserts... which is where I live, sadly.
Humidity is legit medicine for me. I went to Japan during a heatwave in July and I could breath for the first time in my life, I felt relaxed, my dry skin felt comfortable. I could sleep in public on the trains, which I've NEVER been able to do before.
Hope hasan covers ron pearlman threatening the ceo that was fuxking AWESOME
Hasan watched that on stream two days ago, I believe! Another channel probably uploaded it somewhere, but I don't have plans to upload it here, sorry!
nature will always win. this house was never supposed to happen
Man who lives in LA spends 40 minutes trashing the location of a UNESCO world heritage site because he thinks it's ugly. You can't make it up...
I never seen any of those superhero movies (outside of like trailers and stills), but isn’t this basically iron man’s house? this guy is trying to build iron man’s house, isn’t he
Yeah but he has a lot more money than this dude.
Who has both the money to buy the lighthouse AND the desire to live in said lighthouse that is so prone to receiving storms in has its own storm viewing area
You've never been at home when there's a storm outside?
The house building on an grey English rocky cliff addition is rare … but real.
The entire US is an eyesore
I live in Devon I used to work in real estate. This guy is hilarious he is pretty nuts. The county does actually have some fantastic beaches. The north coast however is known for being a bit rocky and grim or a dramatic coastline if you are being polite. His project took so long to complete that the mental housing market in this country has risen to be much closer to his valuations than it had been. North Cornwall also has some stunning sandy beaches, and climate change means Southwest England will soon become a rainforest in parts anyway.
i’m British by nationality (immigrant family) and i kinda love British scenery. i know its an unpopular opinion but theres something about the atmosphere that’s really serene and pretty. i also typically love the winter and dislike the summer. (ironically i used to live in Beirut literally 20 feet away from the beach)
Lol I watched this episode of Grand Designs a few months ago and it has haunted me since
thank you!
Chatter: Hasan has bad nature takes
Hasan : no man I have good nature takes
Better not show my geological surveyor partner this, they'd get a heart attack
is that a heart rate monitor? lol
that's what i was thinking
Ayyye shoutout toledo lmao
Cant believe i listened to this on look during my tooth extraction
Chat defending englands honor is so funny. They just argue about anything
Hasan and the chat having so much fun in this video watch😉
He said let's create the next location for a classic Agatha Christie murder
for some reason this documentary seemed like a very long comedy skit
The problem is that the dude wants it to be like a Mediterranean beach house. Cold weather coasts are often extremely beautiful, just look at the PNW & Alaska.
But if you pitch it as a "beach house" you'll get folls like Hasan showing up like "What the fuck, why can't I swim?"
Kevin is literally a joke among all the locals
The bruvaphobia was too strong, people were getting upset lol.
in like 8th grade i was obsessed with pewdiepies wife’s vlogs. they lived in brighton and as an icebreaker at the beginning of the year i said i’d want to live there. this one dude then asked me if i was british for the rest of the year

@@yngfljm2277 thanks
Should've gone across the pond to Nova Scotia, yeah there's winter but it's actual winter with pretty snow now just slush . It's actually sunny summer and there's sand beaches and water can reach 20C in summer
Hassan, you forget how small the UK is! 100 miles!
alex, articles? where can i read them?
hasan probably thinks windows xp bg was the peak of beuty
That ozzys vocal fry is too much It's like nails on a chalkboard to me for some reason
Turn up the bass in your car and watch an aussie give your girl her first real orgasm.
I wish I could pick the right way to say it. Somehow they silence parts of the words but end up using more syllables.
What are the numbers on the bottom left of his camera view?
This reminds me if the saying "measure twice, cut once"! He seemed to do NO research into building a house on that coastline.
Maybe Hasan should hang about outside a few Glaswegian kebab houses on Saturday night. I reckon he could pick up some more refined dining etiquette tips!!!
He lost absolutely everything and had to sell it before it was even completed. The modern Ozymandias
Hey, what's up with the number in Hasan's little window?
I dont understand what he has against that location. It looks awesome. Sandy warm beaches just look boring. That being said, this build was idiotic. There is a reason no one built there before.
so let me get this straight he s going to sell the house at 2.5 million but is more then 3 milion in dept ???
This might come as a shock, but any custom project is going to cost a lot more than you can resell it for
18:15 Cliffs Notes for this amazing story.
I do feel like hasans abit harsh on England, especially when hes only really seen london.
We do have nice beaches and coastal areas, it aint all bad
Hasan needs to come check out Perth Western Australia and talk about our gorgeous world renoun beaches
Lmao hasan not getting that not everyone loves hot tropical beaches😭
This guy forgot about the cloud-light. I hear they get plenty of that. 🤓
I know that house in thumbnail... I destroyed it in GTA V with Michael.
I really like windy areas
NGL living in Devon does make me depressed, so he’s onto something
The dark academia vibe is kinda for me, and that rocky dark foggy coastline goes hard for that. I think objectively humans like sunlight and warmth tho, and Brits constantly go on vacations to Southern Spain among other places.
This narrator’s voice has Disco Elysium Inner Monologue levels of rich vocal fry
Tell me you’ve never been to Cornwall without telling me you’ve never been to Cornwall
bro really thought he was playing the sims
I thought this was about that monstrosity called the one
What are the fluctuating numbers.
Hasan talkinh in British and Italian accents is my favorite genre.
England isn't cloudy and wet all the time. Its just that people can;t be bothered to come here when the weather is pleasant. We literally had non stop sunshine where I live in the New Forest from Mid May until a few days ago, and yet everyone decided they need to come here during the breaks in sunshine.
Exactly, I live on the west coast of Central Scotland and I've basically been in light clothing and tshirts since may, but the weather's been pleasant. Hasan lives in an violent, overpolluted dump with 290 days of (mostly oppressive) sunshine per year, sounds like a nightmare. I like my 4 clearly defined seasons, I'm not a fkin' lizard person.
LOL the coasts in England are beautiful. Hasan is one of those people I just can't imagine outdoors in nature.
To look at. Now go swim at the beach. Oh rite you can’t
"No natural sunlight in England". Seriously dumb. This is southern England where it is fairly mild. The sun doesn't even set until 9:30 at night in summer so at like 10 or 11 it isn't even fully dark yet.
@@kmaguire7161the point is it's infinitely cloudy.
@@avacadomangobanana2588millions do the beaches and sea around Ireland and UK is very clean in comparison to LA
@@kmaguire7161that’s the same everywhere in the Summer, southern England isn’t unique
Nothing can rival Hasan's hateboner for the Bri'ish
True hero channels fast forward the ad break.
Hasan is missing the appeal of the location, he gets to be as far away from other Brits as possible without actually having to emigrate.
i would pick this beach destination over any LA one are you kidding
I mean I'm not an expert but I feel like building a lighthouse should take some more consideration of how it would affect sailors and be managed by someone who's trained for it.
I assumed it just the lighthouse structure that didn't have an actual light
@@tims5978 I'm... not sure actually, it wasn't clear.
It isn't a functional lighthouse lol. It just looks like one.
@@komos3719it is clear. They said at the start that it’s a viewing tower.
@@leastselfawarepotassium well, there it is then I suppose.
I get hassan criticism of the location but being rugged and inhospitable is also kind of the charm of the place
Tought why anyone would gamble to get there dream house is beyond me those projets are for people that can afford them if you lose that privilege you just need to cut your loses and find cheaper dreams
It isn't that inhospitable. It's Dorset, in the south west. Not exactly one of the island off scotland.
Hasan has obviously never seen any of cornwall if he thinks all of the uk coast looks like this
Can't believe the slander Cornwall got.
Stormy beaches are very much my shit. If I was healthier I’d totally consider living in a lighthouse (one styled like a real lighthouse not this ugly thing).
Same. I’ve wanted to be a lighthouse keeper since I was a kid 🙂
People saying the weather and a beach house don’t add up. It’s literally England. Every part of the country rains and snows 40/60% of the year but we still have beaches and sunshine😂. Turkey literally also snows/rains/is cold half the year.
Was gonna say bad take but tbf it's subjective
Personally I really like the location and the house
I don't understand the need for bashing the house and the place tho
It's interesting, I like the idea of a house combined with a lighthouse. I think because style is subjective and because he went through so much people don't see it as worth it that he basically lost his family over that house
If someone told me we were going to the beach, and then we got there and it just was a bunch of rocks on the coast, with grey skies, I would just leave.
That is not a beach.
I miss my boy boys
Who would be Willem Dafoes character if Hasan is pat robertsons, i mean robert pattersons
3:43
Personally, might be the fact I'm Irish , but I think that beach looks lit. House is shit tho. Completely ruins the scenery.
Why does it have an infinity pool when the weather is always below zero like it's going to always be cold there
maybe it's heated
This dude should have just bought in Ibiza...
he sounds exactly like ididathing
