Allen Hart fair play to you mate... love to see people willing to answer questions... people in the past I’ve asked are sometimes too quick to shut you down and not up to the job of explaining things.

Thanks for sharing.
Will do 👍
I am currently studying plumbing at North Hertfordshire college and this video has given me some really good tips so thank you and keep up the good videos
Thank you.
Hi Allen,
I'm sharing your channel with my son. At the moment, he is training in college, currently doing City & Guilds Level 1. Although he passed level 1, he is actually repeating it this year because due to Covid-19, he missed almost half a year of college in the first lockdown and lost out on valuable practical experience and work experience.
He is really keen to move onto Level 2 and start an apprenticeship, but again this has been hampered by a second lockdown.
We are based in Reading, in the UK and would love if you could offer some tips/advice on writing a CV and/or applying for a plumbing apprenticeship.
Thanks a million!
I remember which way to wrap PTFE on a thread by....
- Have the pipe or fitting in your left hand.
- Wrap the PTFE with your right hand, around the thread _away_ from you.
:)
Finally, mlcp in the UK... it’s awesome stuff.
Thanks.
Proper training, lucky apprentices!
Thanks.
Hi Allen, always look forward to your videos =)
Do you have a video or perhaps do one on electrical dead testing?
I would advise that you go on a training course for that. Baxi do an amazing day. Thanks.
Flax and boss white Allan you can go back a bit if you over tighten and run a junior hacksaw along the chrome thread so the ptfe or flax doesn’t slip.
You are one great man, very friendly. I'm doing level 2 pluming based in Rotherham South Yorkshire, I would love to work with someone like you to gaining the work experience.
How are you getting on? Thanks.
Great video! Nice to see
Cannot understand the thumbs down, Cannot please everyone. 😂😂😂😂

Thank you.
i like that the young guys are carrying on the local accent , too many have developed some mid Atlantic gangsta style accents , so you KNOW they are going to do well because they know EXACTLY who they are where they come from and are learning with the best man they can right now
They are both great lads. Thanks.
Nothing better than passing on your precious knowledge. When I was an engineer I always enjoyed a day out training a new guy. I have never heard of 20 wraps of PTFE tape would it not be too thick to screw in?
I don’t use PTFE anymore, 😂😂😂👍
GREAT NEWS. Phil has been given an apprenticeship 😂😂😂👍👍👍
Allen Hart, good man I have started with a guy in my local area and he is showing me the ropes, it’s what people need to get there foot in the door with a trade. Too many people won’t take the time to pass on their skill set. 👌 well done mate
What about the other lad
Allen Hart take me on next!
Thanks for video
@@MrWolff__ did you get sorted? Thanks.
I've been a heating engineer for over 16 years and always used ptfe tape. Loctite looks easy to use don't know how good it is. Will give it a go.
Really good stuff ruclips.net/video/3SfJaHbhSes/видео.html
Hi Allen, great video. Currently considering getting into plumbing myself up in Newcastle, was wondering if you or anyone in the comments section could give me some advice before potentially entering the world of plumbing, but also let me know of the positives and negatives I’ll potentially face during my time as a plumber. Thanks in advance 👍🏻
Feel free to call me. Thanks.

Phil and Danny. Great times this. Both of them have jobs now.
I’m in a second year and wish I could learn from you.. but In London no one will give you an opportunity tried so many places and not even asking for money or transportation.. hopefully one day I get to be an apprentice..
Holy shit 20 wraps! Here in America we use at most 3-4 wraps. Nice job training!
Thank you for watching.
Great vid Allen nice to see you're Apprentice's are getting 21 Century training there with Press fit 👍.

Allen question....great kit great video, now my question is, the T16 press machine, say something went wrong you had to change it, is there a way to open it
No you cannot open it. Thanks.
Good work Allen as like all ways I was just wondering why the radiator manufacturers don't make the radiator tails a better fit as you need to wind 20 or so turns of ptf tape seems like the radiator manufacturers may have share in the tape aswell.
Would be hard to change now. Thanks.
I have not got a question just a bit of advice for them and that is not to stop asking questions of the plumber you're apprenticed to or your teacher. Its the only way to learn and improve. Also we all keep learning even when qualified be open to new methods. I'm a 60 y.o. plumber and i wont know it all even when i've retired. Good luck.
Thank you so much.
Thank you
Excellent
Hi Allen,
As a 31 year old with no plumbing experience, but in the property field having watched your videos and having always wanting to get into the trade do you think I should do it or will it not work out? Your video has seriously given me further inspiration to go into plumbing/gas engineering!
Sorry for the late reply. I am sure you could do it if you really tried. Thanks.
Thank you alot teacher

Nice way to mix up the format, no titles of cheesy music required.
Thanks for not making them wear crash helmets ,high Viz jackets ,safety goggles ,special gloves, safety boots and a bullet proof jacket like what the Welsh bricklaying school video does for the task of making a 1ft wall with fake cement.
Are the lads doing an on the job learning thing or are sat at theory desks ,what's the general structure of the course, and what's there favourite pipe material.
As a suppries towards the end say there's been a hypothetical extension added the the building and you need another rad put in (the trickyest spot you can think of with lots of obstacles )
Hold my pipe, are you nervous? 👍
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video.
To be fair the guy on the right looks like he could lift and fit a combi boiler to the wall on his own .... nice to see the new stream of apprentices coming thru
These lads are great. Hopefully we will be able to get them a job. Thanks.
i was hoping the other two would join in with your famous catch phrase at the start
Ha ha i might do that tomorrow 😂👍😂
Doing a plumbing and heating course which for six weeks for a level 2 , What videos would you recommend for me to start watching before i start my course to give me a more of a understanding ps great video !

I like the look of those fittings but as a diyer it's really not worth the money for me.
Do you think the price will ever come down?
They are not for DIY, Thanks.
not an apprentice nor trainee and loved this video

Allen I'm doing level 1 plumbing can I come down mate 😊 great video love it
What area do you live?
@@AllenHart999 middlesbrough North East
Nice one for giving those lads a chance. Not a lot would 👍
Thank you.
I came to plumbing relatively late at 24. I struggled to find anyone to show me the ropes. Ended up having to largely teach myself through being chucked in at the deep end when I finally managed to find a job after putting myself through collage. The apprenticeship scheme in this country is a joke now. We really need to turn it around. Been plumbing 10 years now and don’t think I’ll be doing anything else.
Would you like some constructive criticism?
I have NO household plumbing skills or training. I do have considerable experience of koi pond plumbing. I have used black waste pipe(s/weld) grey pvc pressure pipe (sweld), push fit, speed fit, chuckitallonthefloorandhaveafit, hep20 blah blah blah.
As a complete novice I would have like to have seen the odd diagram in the video.
My other notes were:
What is MLCP?
What is PEX?
What is a bleed point?
How much water do you need to put in the radiator? Or does it fill from your water tank?
What are the plastic things called that you put on the bracket? Do they come with the radiator?
Otherwise, we'll done and thank you.
Thanks very much for your comment, please consider subscribing to support the channel 🙂
Top man Allen.
Thanks.
Question for you should radiators be hung level or slightly higher on the air vent side?
I would always install them level. Thanks.
Thanks for that old buddy ❤💛💙
No problem 👍

@@AllenHart999 the link gave does not give specific name for those press fittings with the peep holes. I can't find them in screwfix
I love your work, please where are you located, are you around Plymouth?

Which one of the aprentices is left handed, I couldnt help noticing the bleeds and trv,s all left side. lol. Keep up with your excellent, informative vids. Dai Plumb Swansea

Where can you get those compression couplings from MLCP direct into the radiators? What are they called?
You can actually buy rad valves that are 16mm. EPH sell them.
How are you finding the Hilti press tool? I don't like the length of it.
It’s not too bad once you get used to it. Thanks.
Is that locktite enough by itself to seal the fitting? I'm a ptfe or hemp and boss white man 👍
All you need is 577 , the stuff is brilliant ruclips.net/video/X0zOrglK9-0/видео.html
You learn something new everyday loving the videos by the way 👍
