As a spark who works for an electrical and mechanical firm, I’m on site with plumbers everyday but never see what they actually do for a full day - just see them scuttling around going for a cheeky cig! Nice to see this and learn a bit about the other trades
Great video again mcauley. Love Sunday nights watching RUclips and catching up with you and all the others on here 👍
Another great video like the “hey up impression” Hollywood beckons. Your right though and maybe the lad could be the nicest fella but he’s handicapping himself so that’s a lesson for him in phone etiquette. Brilliant stuff.
Great content bud! I enjoy your videos lots 👍
Looking forward to the apprentice video fella, I’m a second year apprentice myself in Ireland 👍
Real world plumbing, I like it 👍🏻
Great video again.
Yeah tips and tricks would be a great video.
Even basics you don't get at college.
Like draining down a system.
And refilling. Do you have to top pressures up etc? We newbies don't know
You’ll have to watch the video when it comes out 😜
Lol liked before watching and you’re like to my loyal fans 😂💪🏽
I agree with what you are saying about the lad who phoned you about the apprentice opportunity. I would have turned him down as well. He'd be the type that wears tracksuit bottoms, a cap on back to front, spends more time smoking coffin nails outside, keeps saying yeah yeah yeah yeah after every question. Would have a bulge in the front of his trousers where his cobbler is and shows his exit hole when he bends down
Good video
Hi mate, how did you know where to mark for the brackets at the start when you just held your levels up and marked lines?
Got my centre line and measured the brackets of the top and bottom bars on the rad
Great video
Thanks!
@@SmartPipePlumbing your welcome I’m always gonna watch your channel
Does the 17mm wera joker fit all modern rad tails ???
Not all some are 16,18mm just to my knowledge majority are 17mm
@@SmartPipePlumbing many thanks 😊
Hate the brackets on those vertical rads. ..
Nightmare ain’t they, never get any easier
@@SmartPipePlumbing with they just made them like normal rads.. Stelrads vertical brackets are good...they go all the way and screw down from the top pinching rad onto wall..I always seem to lose the rubber spacers they give you on them semi circle brackets or they fall off when hanging the bloody thing
starting plumbing at college in september. any tips? or advice
Get an apprenticeship if you can or as much work experience as possible. You will learn more on the job
@@SmartPipePlumbing defo looking for an apprenticeship
Highly recommend, also my top tip and first thing I learnt was if you would put it in your own house don’t put it in someone else’s.
@@SmartPipePlumbing what do you mean mate?
If you wouldn’t your work in your own house then don’t put it in anyone else’s
Please say you didn’t drill right through the joist with a spade bit 🥴 Not having a go but you should of taken the floor up and notched it and elbowed up, bit lazy mate !
Had to unfortunately it was smack in the middle of a double joist
How many jobs would you normally do on an average day being self employed?
Average is say 4/5 maybe
@@SmartPipePlumbing how many hours does it take to do 4 or 5 jobs. Average?

Real-world plumbing is that a different way to say you bodged it ???
Not it a way of saying it’s real plumber not this polished shite you see on Instagram and RUclips. Sometime you’ve got to do thing that maybe ain’t the best, maybe if the customer wanted to pay a lot more could be done another way. But where I’m from not everyone can afford that. So this is the real world and you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. Put it this way. If I wouldn’t put it in my own house I wouldn’t put it in someone else’s
