We all need to share the love allen you are a lovable guy keep up the good work and your vids are the most honest out there your a credit to the trade👍
Realy boils my blood when I hear people installing boilers supply and fit for nothing. I've quoted jobs and the customers got quotes supply and fit for £800! I've spoke to engineers who fit boilers for £150-£200.. under value the trade.. glad to see your keeping the prices as they should be.
I swapped a vokera compact for an easyheat last week, dropped the pressure through the prv lifted it off and dropped the new one on the same bracket and pipes, flue out the same hole then cut a filter in to comply with new regs. They already had a co detector. The system was squeeky clean as i've done stuff for them on the system for the past 3 years and there was an existing nest. Under 470 ex vat for the boiler, filter and some inhibitor and i charged £990 (825 ex vat).Only materials i used was a handful of sand cement and 2ft of 5 core 3 hrs done and dusted including going to pick the boiler up from the merchants so i made roughly 340-50 for 3 hours work. Tell me i'm not charging enough and i'll rip you a new arse. I charge what i see is fair not what i think should be the going rate. Those days are well gone. I have 40 odd years experience doing this garbage and could do it with my eyes shut but i can honestly say i've never intentionally ripped anyone off. Btw heres one. 1978-9 im a 3rd year apprentice and we are doing a bbu swap from solid to gas on a gas board job (in the days when the gas board were a good company). The woman next door came in and said "im looking for a new boiler too can you give me a price". My tradesman said you go in and see her so I went in and hadn't a clue how to price it. She wanted a baxi W2 (a baxi wood as we called them) and said the gas board gave me a price of £1850 or whatever it was. Me being young and thick said i'll do it for £1600. Now considering you could buy a brand new car for around that price, albeit a chevette or escort ,it was still a lot of fuckin money. I ordered the stuff through my boss (cos he was a decent cunt) and done the job with another apprentice on a long shift on the Saturday (including brick up and plastering). Went into work on the monday and said how much do i owe you. £400 and whatever it was. Just short of £1200 for a days work in the late 70's I paid the apprentice £100 for his shift (weekly wage was around £20) and he was severely pissed off that i bought myself a 2 year old cortina with my share. Thats an example of how much rates and prices have fallen. But that was different times.
‘Under value the trade’?? What do you mean? They charge what they are willing to do the job for....perhaps charging more than that might appear to be unethical to them. Also the amount of time the same jobs gets a uplift for being in a nice area surprises me too..
Bilal Ali So people work on the side and pay no tax insurance etc, some work cash in hard, Then others that people pay tax insurance vat etc, business costs and advanced training, The people doing the job correctly often earn less
Allen Hart agreed training and insurances cost money and for the 50 plus boilers I’ve had fitted I make sure that couple of lads I use have both. Unfortunately people not paying tax, there is nothing you can do about that other than report them to HMRC and get a finders fee 😜
I am not an adult and the only amount of money that I own is a 20 pound note but I subscribed and turned on notifications on just because of how sweet this man is and the stuff he does for the community so I hope you are doing well with you life and hopefully your jobs are paying well
Allen I’m not in the trade but have been mechanical engineer most of my life apart from when I was about 5 to leaving school I helped my dad. He worked for NWGB spotford road Liverpool left the Navy as a engineer and started with the Gas board with company motor bike and side car. Then upgraded to a Vauxhall’ viva years later. I still have his original gas board bag and some of his tools but I used to help him with jobs he would do at weekends and just as open vent central heating was being put into houses. He was very fussy and used to say do it right first time or don’t bother at all. Reminds me allot like your self the type of person you would want to fit a boiler for you , Keep your videos going Allen hopefully when mine is due for renewal I give you a bell can’t put a price on quality of work and safety.
The quality of your work is always outstanding and your prices are really not to bad You only get what you pay for and I know for sure once we get over the current crisis, you will never be out of work
Prices look fair to me. It doesn’t always go according to plan, sometimes jobs go tits up. People see a boiler at screwfix and expect you to fit it for a grand 😂.Sharing the love, stay safe mate 🤙🤙
People down here have expected a boiler swap for less than £500 if they but a boiler. I hate the people who come back to tell you they have had alot cheaper quote and boilers been fired sooner. . . I can't dream what type of job they end up with
I can see clearly you go the extra mile, to be honest, I never thought about matching the brickwork but advised customer to get a bricky for that. Thanks for the video Alan!
Hi Allen, this is exactly what us new guys need. thanks for proactively responding to mine and others' requests, just a pity some of the other good regular you tuber plumbers don't do the same. it's not commercial suicide, just makes crap plumbers stand out when they under cut everyone else. Most consumers don't see the need to pay for a proper flush, filters on systems, water testing etc, new legislation should put an end to most of the cowboys!
Thinking of moving on to Tools from being a QS. The hard part will be building a portfolio whilst working full time. I love watching your videos. They are so informative.
Loved your video, i know you shouldn,t expect to get every job you quote but you spend time going to see the job and try and build a relationship with the customer and give them advice and i do take it personally if i don,t get the job. Only been in the game 30 + years and the biggest problem i find over the last few years are the customers...They are expert plumbers/ heating engineers. Thanks Google!!
But get them to bend a 2 45’s in copper pipe and slip a bend on a flue and they would have no clue. Remember your a Master Plumber and that’s what they pay for. Lol charge them more they know about the job. That should be a new physical Law in the age of information… 😂 It’s call labor cost and workmanship guaranteed they can by the part if it make it cheaper for them. 😂
The heating industry has fallen into the undercutting trap. On the other hand the Sparkies have kept their prices and their standards. The Sparkies are right. I admire you for working to a good standard Alan and I enjoy your videos very much. I don't think the heating industry will recover its status unless they do like in Germany and that is restrict the purchase of gas appliances and gas carrying parts to Gas Safe registered individuals. It will never happen and rogue installs will continue. We've all seen them, and its easy to tell the difference between an indifferent install by a registered installer and a rogue illegal install. A good install, like the ones you show us Alan, is a joy to behold.
@Mark Sesum I refer electrical jobs to two first class, but expensive electricians. They are swamped out with work, but I get some nice calls from the customers who are always delighted with the quality of the work, and the people. I should say I live in a relatively affluent part of the country.....if a bit out in the sticks. It's always harder in the built up areas or working for some landlords who don't want to spend anything so I do sympathise. I go to by far the most expensive optician round here.......not because I like chucking money away, but because of the reputation he has built over the last 30 years. He had a marketing strategy when he set up, and I'm not sure enough tradesmen do the same. I'm about to retire so I have time to reflect on these things. Best of luck with your new direction.
I'm a heating and plumbing engineer in South Wales. I'm glad to come across this video. I've been self employed for 6 years and doing the job for 12. But I am always wondering if I am too cheap or too expensive. Your prices are very fair and I would of estimated those jobs in the same area. 😉👍🏼 Keep safe
Thank you, Allen, for all your great videos, keep it up please, this particular one was so helpful, especially for new Gas safe engineers hoping to get to the future market while we're all waiting for a better days to come again
The problem i always had with pricing, was educating people with all the things they dont see like consumables, travelling , picking up gear, your time as an apprentice you had to learn the underpinning knowledge, thats without liabilities, advertising, book keeping, no sick pay no holiday pay, unless you could afford the insurances............thats why im now a handyman with a care company ........lot less pay and alot less aggravation, all the best to Allen
Cheers Alan! Really honest video to tell us what you charge. I'm in London and sometimes i think i don't charge enough. This video gives me a great indicator. Keep 'em coming!👍🏻
I would say I'm on par with you . But living in london is more expensive and other installer are charging more. But it gives me the confidence to look at the job and charge accordingly instead of charging what i think i can get away with. Really like these videos looking at different installs and how you price for them. I'd be interested in seeing your thought process when you first look at a job and how you put a price on it. I'm newly in business and any help is a amazing as trying to get business info is very diffricult as many in the industry keep what they have learned to themselves.
The amount of jobs you get , the amount of time you’ve been in the job tell me there’s nothing wrong with your prices , ppl who are asking too much or who’s work doesn’t fit the cost don’t last too long. Also I know 💯 with you that you will look for all the little things that maybe some wouldn’t and that you would try and do everything to a top top quality. The fact of the matter is you do get what you pay for , you really do. Ps I love the fact you wouldn’t just take the job and fit it on he electrics even tho you weren’t comfortable , again speaks volumes.
Top Man , really like this . I have been a gas engineer for 43 years and always have problems with the cheaper installs .. you get what you pay for , always match the brickwork shows real care to the customer.
Your prices are perfect. The work you do and quality of your work is amazing keep it up the state of some insulation are shocking to put them right costs more so keep it up. 👍👍
Great vlog Allen really enjoying enjoying them of late to be honest after nearly 50 years in the game i prefer to watch your installs than do them (it's a lot easier) great stuff 👍
Allen, have you thought about ATAG? I'm now installing them, they are a fantastic deal for customers, sell only to Engineers so your boiler is delivered to site. Extremely easy to work on, everything is accessible. By the way thanks for your videos they really are positive. After talking briefly one late evening, I bought a REMS gun and am converted now to pressfit.
In the same boat as you. Only doing emergency leaks or breakdowns but got the go ahead for a job I priced for in January in a empty house which no one has visited for the last 2 weeks.only place I could get a baxi was screwfix but it gives me much needed income and something to do. I subcontracted for a building firm but didn't get my invoice in before they shut down so not sure when I'll get paid.
Gr8 mate I’m in Kent I’m very much like you can’t stand bad workmanship but I struggle pricing I see you on gas chat keep up good work and keep yourself and your family safe 👍 🙏
I recently had a Baxi 830 with Nest 3rd gen thermostat and new 7m 22mm gas pipe from meter (I lifted all flooring and floorboards for access to gas run and all pipework). This was a system conversion, with all tanks/old pipework removed. £2200 in Birmingham. All notified and fitted in a day (a long day) by one fitter 👍
I live in London and I paid £2500 labour for a system boiler installation with a megaflow, and all new rads with new pipe work on a 5 bedroom house. The workmanship was good too with no corners cut as I had British Gas check things over. This was in 2015, so prices may have increased slightly due to inflation. Reason I commented, prices do not always correlate with quality.
British Gas wouldn’t check it to see if you had a good job, I used to work for them, They have very little time and need to be out as soon as possible. As long as you are happy then thats all that matters. Thanks.
@@AllenHart999 True say, another correlation that isn't correct, just because you work for a big company, doesn't mean every member of that company is good. I was happy, and personally do a lot of research in various trades, so have quite a good idea myself when corners are cut. The only thing I had to complete is the lagging, that wasn't accurate enough for my liking, so did it myself.
I think your prices are acceptable and fair. I think your work standard is excellent. A rare quality in this day and age. You did an install for a floor standing storage combi Vissemann 200ff I think. How much did that job cost? Videos like this help the normal man if they are being ripped off. Keep them coming. Thank you .
Hi Allen, good to see some actual quotes, what about doing a video on quotes for other types of jobs, oil-gas etc. I did a back boiler to gas last week, nightmare, thought it was a 2-3 day job, turned out to be a 5 day job+, as problem with regulator that Phoenix had to change, then 2' thick chimney breast walls that my core drill had a nightmare getting through, so hugely under-quoted. But , hey-ho, everyday is a school day.
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for being honest and putting it out there for everyone to pick at, that takes a lot of courage. I am not a professional just interested in DIY.
Alan you mentioned about main boilers I have found them good and used against baxis boiler as they are cheaper if you need a main boiler try Heating Support in lincoln they will get one delivered to you. Good luck and be safe.
Allen Hart Hi Allen worth a phone call think they could arrange delivery to you as they do for me for a little cost I am sure Alan. The plumb centre is still open as well at reduced hours also but they don’t do Maine boilers.
Hello Allan I agree with most things you say, you are very honest when you say you are probably never going to be the cheapest quote with those prices. However you get what you pay for My quotes for those jobs would come in a bit cheaper (not by a great deal though) for the one above the cooker. I would have refused to put the boiler back in the same place as well. I would have suggested moving the cooker. It is not a good place to put it next to the back door anyway. The wind could blow out the burners etc etc. I dont think I would have taken his word it was going to be moved either lol. I would have needed to see some pretty strong evidence it was being moved or allow me to move it, also there was other things needing attention, electrics, brickwork etc it all takes time.. The Biasi well that was just a pig of an installation and I think you gave a very fair price for that one. I would have been some where close to your price. It is always better to give a price so you know you can comfortably do a good safe installation and allow yourself time to do it. There are so many installers/companies allowing ridiculas targets for installs these days. However where I work there are so many Plumbers prepared to cut corners (flushing, filters etc) and most people would be surprised how many are still unregistered. They will always be cheaper because they dont have the registration fees and costs we have. Also some Landlords sometimes put a lot of pressure on Plumbers. Stay safe and keep up the good work.
Hi Allen, great video as always. When you’re stipulating those prices/quotes are you including parts and labour together, apologies if that sounds like a silly question. Also it’s wonderful to see you always wanting to do a decent job and clear up mess from other traders. I as a customer don’t mind paying the extra as long as I can trust that it’s going to be done in the best interests of the customer. The numerous experiences I have had is that I pay a decent price but always get a bodge job done no matter what platform they’re on or what pictures they show me.
Alan thank you very much for this video please do more of them 👍 your the only one doing this, great stuff. Also in one of your previous videos you said you used to work for a well known energy company can you do a video on your transition from working from them to yourself stuff like cost, advertising for work, how long did it take you to start earning money again stuff like that? Many thanks, Ken
I wish we lived in leeds good man. A guy I worked with called Brit Gas because he was losing pressure in his boiler, they said he needed a powerflush ?, then sold him a new boiler.
@@AllenHart999 Yes, an angle grinder to the heat exchanger and plate. A bit like a real life, 3D cutaway drawing. It would be fascinating to see how they're constructed, especially with any commentary on what you see inside.
prices are very fair maybe a bit on the cheap side if anything. my opinion is you got to take care of your business and make sure your making good money otherwise there is no point. if you are qualified and skilled and follow gas safe regs that's what you deserve. another great vid Allen cheers.
Allen, you ought to charge more, in my view. An emergency plumber, just a plumber, (no gas work), would be £60+/hr. You are underpricing!Personally I'd pay you whatever you asked. You're totally worth it.
When I had a new boiler fitted 3 years ago I got a decent quote from a Gas safe engineer. It was not the easiest job there were 2 fitters and an apprentice. They expected it to take 2 days but it over ran to 3 days as I had an addition of 2 rads and there were problems connecting to my solar hot water system. When it come to paying he was a bit shy about saying he had under quoted but I had already withdraw another £500 and he was happy with the final payment. I think I got a bargain and when it was serviced by a different company they said I had an excellent insulation.
I got a ideal logic c24 max fitted with the filter and thermostat remote all in for £1680. It's worked a treat since. Price r different up and down the country
@@AllenHart999 I'm not sure with the technical stuff. My dad's best friend is a heating engineer and plumber and he fitted it. He services it for me each year also. It's been a great boiler

Lock down: I'm going mad. Wilko delivery today. There's me thinking it might be some home brew kits and brewing sugar. 20 litres of woodstain for the fence. S'pose the missus is going to be busy, but if she gets any on the astroturf.......... BTW. I'm swapping over my phone number tomorrow, so may be off grid for 48 hours. I'm bored.
Who buys their stuff from Wilko? Guaranteed you will make an extra £100 at least on a job speaking to your local independants. Whether you pass some or none of that on to customers is entirely at your discretion.
@tamz2tamz2 Last time I checked, my local independent plumbers merchant doesn't sell concentrated malt extract and brewing sugar. Mind you, I do have a hot water cylinder out the back of the garage and I'm wondering if I can convert it into a still.
To help yourself out. Setup a spreadsheet for each task. Ie boiler change, list EVERY single tasked involved in doing so. Put a column next to it for estimated time. Ie collect materials, unload tools, isolate gas, tightness test, etc etc etc. There will always be tasks you miss out if you just guesstimate. Experience will allow you to collate data to see averages for all these individual tasks. Imagine you go to do a tightness test and there's a leak on the gas carcass or regulator. Work out how these anomalies affect your overall timings.
I loose a lot of boiler installs because my quotes are high yet i earn a lot less than the guy that just chucks the boilers in.Hes out and in 6 to 8 hours no chemical flush no magnaclean and untidy finish etc. Im there several days before the install introducing chemical cleaner to the sys and probably twice as long on the job because i actually care.I always tell my customers that there house will be left in the same state i found it if not neater.
So refreshing to listen to a professional, you are a credit to your profession sir. When my system shuffles off it’s mortal coil then I will contact you. Keep the videos coming. Brilliant.
Hi Alan I to see too many jobs made to fit a low price. If you have enough in a job then no problem sticking to quote but if I find something I couldn't have known about I would discuss with customer. I love neat work but it does cost if you want attention to detail. Just over in Hebden Bridge, not as experienced as you on boilers because I got side tracked into renewables but winding down now so going back to boiler jobs.
As a consumer £3k does sound a lot of money, but for the work involved including brick work it’s a hell of a lot better than leaving it where it is what a decimal boiler install that you had to go to there. I would never of accepted that above my oven. However, that price beats British Gas quote of 4 1/half thousand pounds to replace my boiler that they put in 15 years ago but a company like British Gas are Robbing Cowboys
Hey Alan. People always want top quality at a rock bottom price. I think your prices are totaly reasonable. As ive just retired my electrical buisseness over here in Toronto, but being originaly from cheshire, belive me, ive done many quotes with same outcome s as your own. As a joiner my advice to people ia always get several quotes, sometines if trades are busy or dont fancy the job they put a big price in . I would say dont go for the cheapest or the most expensive price often the price in the middle range is about right .

Realy boils my blood when I hear people installing boilers supply and fit for nothing. I've quoted jobs and the customers got quotes supply and fit for £800! I've spoke to engineers who fit boilers for £150-£200.. under value the trade.. glad to see your keeping the prices as they should be.
Thank you so much
I swapped a vokera compact for an easyheat last week, dropped the pressure through the prv lifted it off and dropped the new one on the same bracket and pipes, flue out the same hole then cut a filter in to comply with new regs. They already had a co detector. The system was squeeky clean as i've done stuff for them on the system for the past 3 years and there was an existing nest.
Under 470 ex vat for the boiler, filter and some inhibitor and i charged £990 (825 ex vat).Only materials i used was a handful of sand cement and 2ft of 5 core
3 hrs done and dusted including going to pick the boiler up from the merchants so i made roughly 340-50 for 3 hours work.
Just short of £1200 for a days work in the late 70's
I paid the apprentice £100 for his shift (weekly wage was around £20) and he was severely pissed off that i bought myself a 2 year old cortina with my share.
I am not an adult and the only amount of money that I own is a 20 pound note but I subscribed and turned on notifications on just because of how sweet this man is and the stuff he does for the community so I hope you are doing well with you life and hopefully your jobs are paying well
You are very kind. Thank you so much ❤️
Allen I’m not in the trade but have been mechanical engineer most of my life apart from when I was about 5 to leaving school I helped my dad.
Reminds me allot like your self the type of person you would want to fit a boiler for you ,
Keep your videos going Allen hopefully when mine is due for renewal I give you a bell can’t put a price on quality of work and safety.
Thank you so much
It would have been a vauxhall (bedford) HA he had. Great workhorse for the time.
The quality of your work is always outstanding and your prices are really not to bad
You only get what you pay for and I know for sure once we get over the current crisis, you will never be out of work
Sat at home at the moment, Hopefully be back working soon. Thank you so much
People respect transparency Allen. Wise people know you get what you pay for. Thanks for sharing!!
Pittbull Thanks 🙏
yes Allen i like your videos . im retired now but i like to keep up with it just for interest. keep going . john
Thank you.
Prices look fair to me. It doesn’t always go according to plan, sometimes jobs go tits up. People see a boiler at screwfix and expect you to fit it for a grand 😂.Sharing the love, stay safe mate 🤙🤙
Thank you so much
@@max29july You clearly have no idea what you are talking about but thank you so much for the comment.

I will do a video on the brickwork soon. Thanks.
I’m not in the trade, but your prices seam fair for the quality work you do 👍
Thank you so much
Hi Allen, this is exactly what us new guys need. thanks for proactively responding to mine and others' requests, just a pity some of the other good regular you tuber plumbers don't do the same. it's not commercial suicide, just makes crap plumbers stand out when they under cut everyone else. Most consumers don't see the need to pay for a proper flush, filters on systems, water testing etc, new legislation should put an end to most of the cowboys!
Hi David. I am grateful that people choose to watch. Thank you very much.
Dear Alan, I love this video, it's honest, transparent and highly informative - keep up the GREAT WORK! Keep safe too.
Thank you
All I can share with you is love mate.
Brilliant channel I've learn a lot from you and I wish you all the best .
Thank You.
Thinking of moving on to Tools from being a QS. The hard part will be building a portfolio whilst working full time. I love watching your videos. They are so informative.
Hi Danny. Thanks.
Brilliant video. Nice to see the prices. Makes it much easier to see how much a proper install costs
Thank you so much
Loved your video, i know you shouldn,t expect to get every job you quote but you spend time going to see the job and try and build a relationship with the customer and give them advice and i do take it personally if i don,t get the job. Only been in the game 30 + years and the biggest problem i find over the last few years are the customers...They are expert plumbers/ heating engineers. Thanks Google!!
So true!
But get them to bend a 2 45’s in copper pipe and slip a bend on a flue and they would have no clue.
Remember your a Master Plumber and that’s what they pay for. Lol charge them more they know about the job. That should be a new physical Law in the age of information… 😂
It’s call labor cost and workmanship guaranteed they can by the part if it make it cheaper for them.
Thank you so much
The sparkies definitely haven't kept there prices plenty out there undermine the trade.
Keep safe
J P Thanks.
Thank you, Allen, for all your great videos, keep it up please, this particular one was so helpful, especially for new Gas safe engineers hoping to get to the future market while we're all waiting for a better days to come again
Thanks.
Absolutely. Thanks.
This is great info. Because I m looking to change my gloworm hideaway floor standing boiler it’s giving me a bit of confidence to go and get quotes
Hi John. Let me know how you get on. Thanks.
Ask them if they test the water as per BS7593-2019 Thanks. ruclips.net/video/3VcMnZEbrpg/видео.html
Prices are more than your one day install guys but that’s clearly reflected in the work. You get what you pay for 🤑
Thank you so much
Cheers Alan! Really honest video to tell us what you charge. I'm in London and sometimes i think i don't charge enough. This video gives me a great indicator.
Keep 'em coming!👍🏻
Do you charge more or less than me? Thanks.
Thank You
Top Man , really like this . I have been a gas engineer for 43 years and always have problems with the cheaper installs .. you get what you pay for , always match the brickwork shows real care to the customer.
Thank you so much

Great vlog Allen really enjoying enjoying them of late to be honest after nearly 50 years in the game i prefer to watch your installs than do them (it's a lot easier) great stuff 👍

Allen, have you thought about ATAG? I'm now installing them, they are a fantastic deal for customers, sell only to Engineers so your boiler is delivered to site. Extremely easy to work on, everything is accessible. By the way thanks for your videos they really are positive. After talking briefly one late evening, I bought a REMS gun and am converted now to pressfit.

Great, but it’d be interesting to see what is included in various prices and how they are calculated.
I will do an updated video soon and show all the costs. Thanks.
Thank you for your videos. They very educational. I like your standards.
pavel trakyss Thanks
I recently had a Baxi 830 with Nest 3rd gen thermostat and new 7m 22mm gas pipe from meter (I lifted all flooring and floorboards for access to gas run and all pipework). This was a system conversion, with all tanks/old pipework removed. £2200 in Birmingham. All notified and fitted in a day (a long day) by one fitter 👍
Would of taken me more than a day to do a flush on a conversion. Thanks for the comments. 👍
@@AllenHart999 To be fair, I don't touch gas work, but keeping your system clean, is an easy DIY job. System is spotless. Thanks 👍
MARK FINN Would of been a 3 day job for me😂 Thanks.
@@AllenHart999 He is a bit slimmer than you though Allen, so maybe moves faster 😉
MARK FINN The cleaning chemicals cannot be rushed 😂😂😂❤️👍
I live in London and I paid £2500 labour for a system boiler installation with a megaflow, and all new rads with new pipe work on a 5 bedroom house. The workmanship was good too with no corners cut as I had British Gas check things over. This was in 2015, so prices may have increased slightly due to inflation. Reason I commented, prices do not always correlate with quality.
British Gas wouldn’t check it to see if you had a good job, I used to work for them, They have very little time and need to be out as soon as possible. As long as you are happy then thats all that matters. Thanks.
Thanks very much for your comment, please consider subscribing to support the channel 🙂
Thank you .
I will do an updated video soon on the Viessmann. Thank you

I am happy to put any quotes on here, I only have so much time though. Thanks.
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for being honest and putting it out there for everyone to pick at, that takes a lot of courage. I am not a professional just interested in DIY.
Customer doesn’t always know what they are getting really. Thanks.
Alan you mentioned about main boilers I have found them good and used against baxis boiler as they are cheaper if you need a main boiler try Heating Support in lincoln they will get one delivered to you. Good luck and be safe.
I am in Leeds. Do they del to Leeds. Thanks.
Allen Hart
Hi Allen worth a phone call think they could arrange delivery to you as they do for me for a little cost I am sure Alan.
The plumb centre is still open as well at reduced hours also but they don’t do Maine boilers.
@@alexperry3861 I am going to try and get one and do the install next week. Thanks.
Hello Allan
I agree with most things you say, you are very honest when you say you are probably never going to be the cheapest quote with those prices. However you get what you pay for
My quotes for those jobs would come in a bit cheaper (not by a great deal though) for the one above the cooker.
Thank you so much
Hi Allen, great video as always.
That's a really good idea for a video. Thank you so much
I wish we lived in leeds good man. A guy I worked with called Brit Gas because he was losing pressure in his boiler, they said he needed a powerflush ?, then sold him a new boiler.

Glad you like them!
I think I got a bargain and when it was serviced by a different company they said I had an excellent insulation.
installation it is insulated as well.
Thats great to hear, Some customers wouldn’t want to pay more. Thank you so much
Who done that job before, health and safety. Cowboys 🤠

I'm bored.
Good luck buddy, Keep smiling no matter what happens. ❤❤❤👍
PS. I've already checked. you can't turn woodstaiin into booze.

Will definitely be doing more. Thanks for watching.
The reason for my videos is to help and support people like you. Show customers what they get when they pay for a cheap job. Thanks for the comments.
Perfect answer Ian!!
So refreshing to listen to a professional, you are a credit to your profession sir. When my system shuffles off it’s mortal coil then I will contact you. Keep the videos coming. Brilliant.
Thank You.
I think your quotes are fair tbh, i know nothing about boilers but for a straight swap replacement i would expect around 2k
Thanks.
Let me know if you ever want to do a video together. I would be more than happy to promote your business. Totally free. Thanks.
Would you rather pay more and get someone to install a new boiler correctly ? Thanks.

As a joiner my advice to people ia always get several quotes, sometines if trades are busy or dont fancy the job they put a big price in . I would say dont go for the cheapest or the most expensive price often the price in the middle range is about right .
I understand what you are saying but that doesn't tell you much really. Thanks.
@@AllenHart999 Its good advice sometimes just because someone is expensive it does not mean they are good , it could simply mean they are expensive , then on the other side you have people who have no idea how to price work . I have worked on new house build for 30 years on price work . Sometimes men make the work look easy they are fast and efficient and good . They earn good money but put a shift in . Other men are slow still good but very slow . Who would you rather pay 200 a day to .
