Haruspex/Exocrine are in stock on the UK GW webstore, along with the Maleceptor. No Zoanthropes though. And very difficult to get from 3rd parties so get used to paying GW prices
I’ve had success with Neurolictor + Dirgeheart Winged Prime + Screamer Killer. Had a WE MoE w/5 Berserkers, got them down a bodyguard w/ shooting from the Screamer Killer, then they failed the leadership at -2, took 5 mortals from the stratagem, THEN they whiffed from the minus to hit from the Neurolictor, and died real quick in melee with the +1 to wound, by some Von Ryan’s and the Screamer Killer. Next turn, got basically the same result against Lord Invocatus and 3 exalted 8-bound, (though the MW strat whiffed that time).
Well, Neurolictors weren't supposed to be equipped with the dirgehear 10 month ago since they only get the "synapse" keyword 2 month ago with the last dataslate, but nowaday the synergy is actually perfectly legit and even stronger since the synaptic aura also grant an additionnal +1 to wound in melee only
synaptic imperatives are neat but all it does is make me really miss 9th edition where they were default. Everything was just more customizable and fluffy.
There’s quite a few old mechanics I miss from various editions, but I always enjoy playing more, and play more in general, when there are fewer rules and books to juggle.
I deep stricked a winged Tyranid prime near a castellan knight and activated shadow in the warp + neurotyrant for a -1 battle shock and did 4mw on the knight
You know, I originally figured I was only interested in the big monster detachment, but i do really like the Tyranids as deeply psychic aliens, and a lot of the special abilities and tricks this detachment has sounds very cool. This might be a fun other detachment to look into building!
I want videos on all the Detachments for good ol' Nids, but the one I'm most looking forward to is the Unending Swarm; I just simply love the zerg rush!
No Neurolictor recommendation (I saw he is in the example list but definitely thoguht it would be worth a specific mention)? The Smothering Shadow strategem seems to be usable on any failed shock, and Neurolictor forces battleshock tests, and in combination with the leadership debuff from the Deathleaper that seems pretty good? It also brings additional benefits against units that failed Battleshock nearby.
When nuerogaunts are granted Synapse, can they trigger the 12" CP mortals? That would make it a lot easier to reach out and Zap enemy units who fail Break Tests
I'll have to check my codex again, but I think so since the wording says that they are within 12" of a synapse unit and the enemy unit has to fail battleshock
Yes. The neurogaunts become a Synapse unit. So you can use the Neurotyrant to make the neurogaunts synapse units to create large bubbles of reroll 1s of to hit and wound with the strategem.
@@logandooley4426 Normally, yes, but he was asking about Neurogaunts that work a bit differently. Neurocytes: While this unit is within Synapse Range of your army, it has the SYNAPSE keyword.
Can Irresistible Will be used with a Hive Tyrant? While it is a Battle Tactic, it says it targets a friendly unit and an enemy unit. Would you still be able to do it for free with the Tyrant ability?
Am I misunderstanding something? You have it that the smothering shadow strat is 6d6 dealing mortals on a 4+, but in the app it says 3+ is that a typo on the app? I thought it sounded weird but I don't have my book on me.
On the actual slide when I talk about it it's written correctly, but then on the subsequent slides it seems to have reverted back to 4+. Either way, 3+ is correct!
@@auspextactics ah I was at work while I was watching so I must of missed it. Nevertheless another wonderful and informative video. Thank you very much
If you're looking for something like that I'd suggest checking out the channel Maelstrom Gaming Studios here on RUclips. I don't care for synaptic nexus the rules are to conflicting. Your offensive abilities are great for synapse units but your main defensive abilities suck for them. -1ap and invulnerable saves Synapses already have those. The only things that can effectively use your definsive stratagem is tyrants, tyranid warriors, an maleceptors. I don't see a very few situations where invasion fleet isn't just as good with the same lists. Defense poorly designed
The trick for Genestealer cults is to go for lore accuracy. Just keep having more units appear from everywhere whenever your opponent turns his back. Emerging out of buildings, climbing out from under rocks, hiding inside his vehicles, you can even do really quick conversions made from his units.
I'm going with a custom Hive Fleet based on the Lovecraft Mythos, Hivefleet R'Lyeh; this sounds like a good fit for some cosmic horror!
This is the best idea I’ve ever heard please do this
If only Haruspex and Zoanthrope kits still existed in the wild!
I saw Zoanthropes were back in stock like 2 months ago and bought 2 boxes. I knew they would go out of stock because of GW’s incompetence
Loved zoats back when I played in like 2005, have a metal one somewhere. Wish I could get plastic ones now that I am playing again

You can still play 9th with most players

Why didn't your opponent used the Insane Bravery strat on knight?

Now if only GW could put some maleceptors out so I could add them to my army list. Same with exocrines.
The smothering shadow pc is on 3+ not 4+
Imagine if they kept the neurothrope as its own datasheet then at very least PotHM would be equipable on TWO models instead of literally one
