Not that he would've gotten away for sure, or anything. I'm not saying that. But he sure did have a better chance, if he didn't just stand there pewpewing nothing.

She was oddly agile in Arcane, I'm thinking she is on a Noxan substance similar to Zaun's Shimmer. She wanted Jayce to destroy a Shimmer factory and go to war with the undercity for unclear reasons.
i dont play league but with how she is in arcane you'd think she'd be more brutish, doing more damage and having more oomf and weight behind her strikes. you'd expect someone like jinx to have a billion dashes bc shes lightweight, young, and chaotic as hell. ambessa is old, experienced, and heavy built.
meanwhile, riven can sit at 4 dashes perfectly fine, yasuo gets as many dashes as there are creeps, and kalista can exist with a dash on every auto it's almost as if every champion's kit is contextual

Yasuo's dash is a fixed direction dash with a fixed distance and needs to be a targetable unit that'll go on cooldown after he dashed through them. Kalista is fucked if she fights someone with iceborne gauntlet Ambessa gets a dash + empowered auto that increases her AA range and speed for every ability she casts. She can choose where she dashes to and isn't massively affected by slows, she can dash whenever her skills are off cooldown and she doesn't need a targetable unit to do so. Ambessa is tanky, has tons of AOE, has backline access on top of gap close after gap close and has spell vamp and armor pen without sacrificing anything. The only thing stopping her from being 100% OP yet is due to the fact that she uses energy and her numbers haven't been revealed yet.
Vex and Poppy are absolutely going to decimate her Edit: wow some of these answers are seriously delusional. Remember that Vex passively activates gloom that she can proc when near champions that dash, even if she didn't use any ability on them. Vex can literally just auto Ambessa every time she uses an ability or dashes (aka all the time) or use an ability like her shield every time Ambessa engages. Poppy's W not only blocks dashes but also restrains the opponent, meaning that if Ambessa engages she's completely open to being torn apart, especially during team fights.
ohhh yes, the 22 seconds cooldown spell, very situational and poppy is quite useless afterall. I am not even mentioning the parody champion Vex. Shes just bad.

Stocks of Poppy W (knocks up one enemy dashing into it and preventing any movement related abilites afterward for 2 seconds even flashes), Singed W (prevents movement related abilities while standing on it lasts three seconds)and Cassiopeias purple puddle (forgot which button it was dont play the champ but also prevents movement related abilites while standing on it) going up.
I mean Riot employees years ago told QT and Scarra that the branches are all basically independent and devs will just dump shit on the balance team and tell them 'have fun.'

This is literally child like behavior, i refuse to accept that the Riot balancing team and champ concept making, even cares about actual balance or creating a good experience overall. They always come off counterintuitive to their own game and believe that numbers fix things. At this point the entire roster of champions need reworking. Like a serious rework that tackles the most absurd problems with certain champions and make it actually better. Otherwise by default, by pure design, the older and simplier champions will either become way to strong or way to impactless in the grander scheme of things. Making it unhealthy for the game and a bad experience. What is next? A champion that will render opposing turrets defective? Not like Voli ult but outright turning them hostile temporarily. Or a map alternating champion, destroying walls temporarily like Ornn E but to actual walls that are meant to be permament. I am almost certain something of these notions will come out at some point. Because Riot team is always counterintuitive to the fundamentals of the game. Like seriously why give so much mobility to a champion that is supposed to have it as a weakness? Juggernaut role. Look Ambessa, look K'Sante. Its like a marksman with tones of survivability. (Shields-Heals-Self Buffs) Making it an "all rounder", flawless champion type of his supposed role. And they call this balance. Sure they will nerf afterwards but numbers are not a fix. I swear, every time a new champs comes outs, it always is more idiotic and counterintuitive. Because Riot literally is running out of ideas to make this game actually fun and interesting. Than breaking it down and claim the chaos it will bring as great twist. Shame on them. Edit: I remember Vi coming out, never had an issue or Braum and so many more. Sure reworks-adjustments here and there are ideal to some. Look at Darius for example. But that was a time that Riot had a sense of balance. Instant Darius Q, Perma Ult reset upon kill. Were game broken, they identified the problem right away and adjusted accordingly nicely. Not killing the concept and vibe of the champion in the process, or making him any less interesting. In fact the opposite, and instead it also added counterplay plus skill expression. With his current Q not being this instant aoe that stacked you his passive and cutting you down with a flat damage no matter what, just because you were close to him. Seeing this champ make me insane, I hate knowing that other champions that I play even needed to be nerfed for the sake of balance, then this shit appears in my screen. Yasuo's dash is a fixed direction dash with a fixed distance and needs to be a targetable unit that'll go on cooldown after he dashed through them.
Kalista is fucked if she fights someone with iceborne gauntlet
Ambessa gets a dash + empowered auto that increases her AA range and speed for every ability she casts. She can choose where she dashes to and isn't massively affected by slows, she can dash whenever her skills are off cooldown and she doesn't need a targetable unit to do so. Ambessa is tanky, has tons of AOE, has backline access on top of gap close after gap close and has spell vamp and armor pen without sacrificing anything.
The only thing stopping her from being 100% OP yet is due to the fact that she uses energy and her numbers haven't been revealed yet.

Edit: wow some of these answers are seriously delusional. Remember that Vex passively activates gloom that she can proc when near champions that dash, even if she didn't use any ability on them. Vex can literally just auto Ambessa every time she uses an ability or dashes (aka all the time) or use an ability like her shield every time Ambessa engages.
Poppy's W not only blocks dashes but also restrains the opponent, meaning that if Ambessa engages she's completely open to being torn apart, especially during team fights.

@@zefix3133 tbh I was expecting her to have no movement at all, expected her to be a mix of aatrox and mordekaiser, just without any kind of movement, like she could've easily been like a hook champ, no? she has these 2 things with chains, they could've made her a bruiser/assasin hook champ that either pulls the front liner and forces them to have a 1v1 or 5v1 in a teamfight or she pulls the backline and kills them almost instantly
This shit is why I'm so glad I've stopped playing for 7 years now.
Stocks of Poppy W (knocks up one enemy dashing into it and preventing any movement related abilites afterward for 2 seconds even flashes), Singed W (prevents movement related abilities while standing on it lasts three seconds)and Cassiopeias purple puddle (forgot which button it was dont play the champ but also prevents movement related abilites while standing on it) going up.
This character looks like a fusion between K'sante and Samira to me.

Dash is a very important tool that comes up often and will come back again because it's one of the three ways to hit a target that has a long range (the others are movespeed and cc)

This is literally child like behavior, i refuse to accept that the Riot balancing team and champ concept making, even cares about actual balance or creating a good experience overall. They always come off counterintuitive to their own game and believe that numbers fix things.
At this point the entire roster of champions need reworking. Like a serious rework that tackles the most absurd problems with certain champions and make it actually better.
Otherwise by default, by pure design, the older and simplier champions will either become way to strong or way to impactless in the grander scheme of things. Making it unhealthy for the game and a bad experience.
What is next? A champion that will render opposing turrets defective? Not like Voli ult but outright turning them hostile temporarily.
Or a map alternating champion, destroying walls temporarily like Ornn E but to actual walls that are meant to be permament.
I am almost certain something of these notions will come out at some point. Because Riot team is always counterintuitive to the fundamentals of the game.
Like seriously why give so much mobility to a champion that is supposed to have it as a weakness?

Instant Darius Q, Perma Ult reset upon kill. Were game broken, they identified the problem right away and adjusted accordingly nicely.
Not killing the concept and vibe of the champion in the process, or making him any less interesting. In fact the opposite, and instead it also added counterplay plus skill expression.
With his current Q not being this instant aoe that stacked you his passive and cutting you down with a flat damage no matter what, just because you were close to him.
