I just want to say thank you for using terrain that was actually interesting. Most every batrep video you see is just using generic ruins, containers, maybe some big industrial pipes.

i disagree, to a degree. Aeldari are pretty powerful, and tyranids less so, but it does also come down to tactical plays. Mubin made some rougher tactical errors. I’m not saying it would have changed the game entirely, but the massive points split we see at the end would have been significantly closer
@@Swampert919I’ve won many games against Eldar this edition with my Nids. I only lost the first, against a Wraithknight-led peak Eldar army right after launch.
@@EmperorNapoleon1815 that was a joke (mostly, a faction doesn’t become one of if not the lowest win rate army in the game from being able to handle most match ups, and aeldari can be rough for most factions… without a meta list and heavy biovore cheese moobin was prob gonna loose regardless…)
@@Swampert919 All good! That said, it’s important to remember that Tyranids are one of the most played factions, particularly by newer players, so the weight of numbers works against them. Personally, I rarely use Biovores; and I rarely lose. The Biovores are too costly, and their role can be filled marvelously by Ripper Swarms, which are one of the most useful little units in the codex.
It would be cool if once a month or so you did a novice skewed video, maybe with just 1000 points per side. Do a similar format to 40k in 40 minutes but take a little more time explaining how the scoring works for each turn, what moves each player is taking to fulfill each secondary, what each secondary is and why it is either easy or hard, etc. Each month change up the factions so it stays fresh and each game helps explain how a different faction plays. It would have to be a bit more casual so maybe instead of cutaways the players just say what moves they are planning at the table, just to streamline the production process.
Idk, I see the appeal, but I've learned the rules from watching - I think it'd be a shame if they changed the format and risked the videos going over basic stuff to cater for an audience that'll also get bored when they've seen a few when they understand it.
tycho crushed a game not so long ago playing nids... mubin definitely plays a bit too casually, both building lists and during the matches. You can't get away with that as tyranids, which are already underpowered enough. Walking up in front of an eldar fireline dooes not seem like a great plan.
We actually have all the credits at the end for everyone that a hand in the production and we're glad to hear you're expanding your pile of potential into further armies!
I love my aeldari and love seeing em on the channel!! It always is kinda feel bad into nids thou, eldar have to actively try to lose to nids and still mop the table with em
So hyped to see that Aeldari list dominate, it looks similar to my one! Also, amazing terrain for this video, definitely one of my favourite bat reps. in a while (even if Muben got a little bit wrecked)
Eldar is too consistent for casual, and Nids don't have any tricks big enough to overcome it with a lucky spike. This was pretty much decided on roll off. Nids needed to go first or play a much stronger list. Technically Mubin made the right play by deploying super aggressive. He had to do that + go first to have a decent chance. He just didn't win the roll. If he didn't deploy like that and lost less in Turn 1, the whole game would have played out pretty much the same way. Everything moving up a turn slower and getting shot to pieces while JT sits on objectives.
beautiful table! wonderful scenic elements! well painted models and the retro style of the Eldar is very appreciable! but unfortunately it was a one-sided game 😭 Player Tyranidi has all my respect! Honor for a Tyranid player from a Tyranid player💪 Fabrizio from Italy🇮🇹
I have seen him win against Tycho and Chaos Dave in a 2 v 2. He was Ultramarines, with the warmistress playing Dark Angels. It was their Primarch battle
If possible at all, would love to watch Mubin playing the "best" list of Tyranids made by Stephen Box, believe already happen once with Tak and space marines.
Would love to see Mubin get some coaching. He's a nice guy but I would kill to have 1 nid game on the channel that isn't just an instant loss. List aside he just threw away 300 points on turn one
There’s a MASSIVE war hammer shop in Newcastle (uk) and I saw a huge model of what looked like a gundum. From that point I knew I needed to know what the f*ck war hammer was
i was really rooting for the Nids in this one. I just recently started nids with a good deal of gaunts backed by a few big beasties so Moobin's army is close to what i would bring.
The way he sets them up and uses the units, an the way that Tyranids win games are barely related to each other. When you compare the list and plans to John Lennon's or Sam Pope's, you see it's basically a different faction from what we see played here. If you bring a neurolictor and some genestealers, and both are easily shot at, and then obliterated before you even move, something went very wrong before turn 1 began
Kudos to Mubin for being such a good sport but this video was a miss for me. It felt like watching a teenager (eldar) beat up a toddler (tyranids) for 40 mins. I suspect the terrain was largely to blame. It looks like relatively little terrain that blocks LOS against an army as fast as eldar and nothing for the tyranids to move through to get cover. Against eldar shooting thats a death sentence.
There was actually quite a bit of LoS blocking terrain; however the infiltrate and scout moves combined with insane sustained hits rolls on the windriders completely blunted Mubins first push. I also purposely didn't move forward to take objectives in the midboard on my turn foregoing any primary to give myself more time to shoot and make him come to me. Had he reached me sooner, T3 just doesn't hold up.
Mubin was making a lot of tactical errors, I’d say poor Mubin but he plays simply to have fun and not neccesarily to win it feels like. This edition has not been his friend
I do love Tycho's narration. He's got a great voice for this.
The biology teacher in my high school was an avid Eldar player. That paint scheme reminds me of him.
