Such an epic song, The entire album is classic.
Mezzanine and Violator are tied for my favorite albums of all time
This group has had sooooo much influence across all genres since the early '90's, from the Deftones to Shakira. So glad you reacted to this... They have so much work out there if you look around.
+ Radiohead's O'Brien said they wanted to sound like Massive Attack in the 90's
man Mezzanine is such a brilliantly dark album. LOVE Blue Lines from start to finish but for sheer visceral experience, doesn't come close musically, for me at least. both masterpieces yet both so different. the genius of Massive Attack.
Exactly. Blue Lines is wonderful. Mezzanine though, Black Milk and Group Four combo is like listening to what sex feels like.
The album this track is on, Mezzanine, is possibly the greatest chill-out album ever recorded. If you enjoyed this, and you clearly did, check out Teardrop. But watch the official video. That's part of it.
Trip hop is so organic, like something alive growing up inside you. Angel is a masterpiece
This song still gives me chills! LOVE MASSIVE ATTACK ❤️
This is one of their most impressive videos in my opinion. You start out thinking he's being chased, which is what he believes, but by the end of it you wonder if he's some unwitting messiah being followed by the devoted. It's really clever, but would you expect anything less from Banksy? ;)
Interesting take. Agreed by the way, brilliant video.
I always figured it was him running from his fears. The harder he ran from them the stronger they grew, until he finally had no choice but to face his fears head on.
All their shit is fire. "Unfinished Sympathy" is legendary, and "I against I" will make the cutlery rattle in its drawer with that overload of bass (That's the one from the Blade II OST)
Welcome to the realm of Massive Attack. The style is unique.
they've been massive for thirty years.so many tracks to recommend.
i can understand the sister whatever her name is from her speech, her mimics... and the music feeling is the same. (old guy from germany)
I love Group Four from Massive Attack. Such underrated song.
Love your reaction! These guys are phenomenal live...Horace Andy is the vocals on this track, a hidden gem!
To be loved you have to love as well. I learned this 2 decades ago. Thanks Horace Andy
Massive Attack is great. Unfinished Sympathy, Safe From Harm, and Teardrop are all great.
This was used in the most perfect, intense way in the scene on West Wing where the president's daughter gets kidnapped.
And their other song Teardrop was used for the TV show House 😂✌❤🇬🇧
Thanks for doing my request. Can't wait for your album to arrive 👍🏻😁.
In the 90s this was chilled music. You need to rest to hear it. You knew some guys in maybe england did feel the same like you. It was a kind of underground maybe spiritual. That gave us power or strength. You knew that there were people like you out there. Today you skip this track after a few minutes on youtube. What happened to us? Life needs to get slower than today. Kids need to get own philosophies to improve our everybodys life. To improve life itself. No one needs more internet more technology. We are humans. We are looking for improvements. Not just looking for something new. People consumed music way to much. The industry has become way to big. Everthing nowerdays just get consumed until it s "death". Then someting new must be invented. That s not the meaning of life or music or whatever.
best reaction channel i found so far ever....
Hyme of the big wheel, protection, unfinished symphony, daydreaming, safe from harm ..the list goes on !! There From my kneck of the woods ,Bristol in the UK 😊
Mezzanine is an incredible album.
I have been in this trance with Massive attack in my mind since 2005, the lead singer, he has this dark energy errie loving mysterious addicting voice of an angel that can easily put you in a deep spell forever. Odesza and Massive Attack would change the world.
I know exactly how you were feeling when listening to this. Awesome!
Welcome to the world of Massive Attack their first 3 albums are classics.
Saw them a few years ago, they're really good live.
I really enjoyed watching you progress deeper into the song and getting into it!! 😂❤️❤️ this song has a way to draw that feeling out for sure
Horace Andy (the vocalist) is a reggae legend. One of my top five albums of all time is his " In the Light" and the King Jammy Dub version of the same album.
Just srolled down to see if someone mentioned him. Thanks and Cheers! :)
First time I see you definitely catch an eargasm! 😂
Their music pioneered and defined an entire genre and are widely respected here in the UK.
Honestly it's all fire but their song Unfinished Symphony is so atmospheric you'd love it classic early 90s vid shot on location in LA too.
Have a blessed day
This is my favorite by them.
I remember this song from snatch as a kid and I think its about running from your fear and then talking control...
They were there for him in the end
such an incredibly English band. brings back good memories. or at least, vague memories of good times! nice reaction, haven't seen anyone else dive down this road. i'd love to know what you'd make of The Cocteau Twins. very, very unique sound from the 80s. try Caroline's Fingers. you'll never have heard anything quite like it. they preceded Massive Attack and are not the same at all really, other than being incredibly British. not that the Cocteau Twins are English - they're Scottish. the angelic vocalist for the CT guested on a Massive Attack track years later, still sounded great. sending love and good vibes across the Atlantic from Scotland :)
Love the Cocteau Twins, but I don't think she's ready for them. Nor most any reactor, for that matter. They're not one of those artists where you can jump right in and appreciate upon first listen, IMO. The beauty typically reveals itself only after multiple listens. Then it's at that point you might wonder how anything could be so beautiful.
@Celtic Revival / Adfywiad Celtaidd so speaking accents are invented too then? Don't be daft. A band from Bristol sounds nothing like a band from Bogota. Of course music is, to some extent, influenced by where it is made, and by whom. That may change as the world grows ever smaller but for now, the birthplace of music is often very identifiable. Massive Attack sound not only British, they sound Bristolian, if you know anything about the UK music scene.
Impossible to not get lost in the sauce when listening to massive attack 👍
Love your reaction to this 👌🏼
Try
Portishead - Glory Box
Absolutely fantastic track! I can also suggest the following Massive Attack tracks: "Unfinished Sympathy", "Protection", "Three", "Teardrop", "Safe from harm", "Live with me", "Risingson", "Black Milk", "I Against I" (feat. Mos Def)
The great Horace Andy on vocals.
I know this is old song.but the first time I listened to this song was from Brazilian telenovela called"Verdades Secretas" it was used for Verdades Secretas soundstrack.
well done sister but you better check this out, Massive Attack - Risingson. thank you sis keep going strong, love you
Its soo good. Or maybe im just drunk.. or its just massive.
I love you guys
Hey, try listening to some Portishead, maybe Western eyes or glory box
If you like this, listen to the Album MAXINQUAYE by TRICKY
check out robert plant and strange sensation. basically robert plant with portishead and massive attack
❤️❤️❤️
Massive Attack, Radiohead and Run the Jewels are the three best live acts one can see.
Plz check more of this My lady
Check out rising son live. Massive attack a brilliant band from the UK
correction: almost old ... almost gone
Inertia creep is sooo great
Watch the vids for Voodoo in the Blood & Dissolved Girl - they're scary & spellbinding i.e. Massive Attack's regular vibe. The songs are superb - it's hard listening & watching trying to take it all in, there's always so much brilliance with MA.
Face your fears.
☝🏽
You missed the message in the video because you had your eyes closed the whole ending.
React to Tricky - Hell Is Around The Corner if you like this vibe, part of the same Bristol Trip Hop scene as Massive Attack.
Who is Banksy I wonder
OMG! I just thought of this. If you want to hear Mark Wahlberg (the actor) rap... please react to Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch - "Good Vibrations" Great fun video and song!! 😁
Temazo!! La proxima united snakes, el trip hop no existe massive attack es una banda de musica electronica
love this band. if you have some time, check out Massive Attack - Paradise Circus (Gui Boratto Remix)
(Gui Boratto Remix)
Try Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Do You Love Me?
Try Moloko The time is now
Leprous did a nice cover of this one
Hi $cribe-- It looks like you were closing your eyes or otherwise looking away-away-away from the screen. I can't blame you, since I loathed this particular video version. (YES, even though it turns out to be a game of "TAG you're it", ending with the chased/guy following with the gang back to where they came from.) ... I love the song too, but I'd have gone with a lyric/video. #ThatsJustMe
You should rewatch last min of video, because you skipped whole meaning of this video
you dont care about the song................. you didnt even watch much of the video........................... FAKE!!!!!! :) ♥
Try Tricky Come To Me
One of the band is rumoured to be Banksy.
