Pure masterpiece , best song of the 90s
One of the most Beautiful Songs of all time! 🧡
This entire album is a banger. Love trip hop. You need to check out Tricky and Portishead.
Just remember when you hear this , it's over 30 years old, the track itself came out of nowhere , you can hear the sample at the end, one of massive attack saying " I dunno where this one came from..." I guess that's how true creativity works..
There was a amazing group of bands who came from Bristol in England and created a whole sound called Trip Hop. Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead are the holy trinity of the scene but there's also bands like Morcheeba who are great examples of it too.
Would love to know what was in the drinking water in Bristol back then... some of the music those groups put out in that era is hard to fathom.
Brilliant band. They started off with quite a lot of soul courtesy of Shara Nelson on vocals. But as others have said they’re really Trip Hop gods. They got darker and heavier with each album and despite still touring they’ve only recorded 5 albums since this one in 1990. Lots of reggae tinged songs, and Horace Andy is a reggae artist who features on every album they’ve done. This video was the first music promo video to be filmed in one continuous shot. This song is over 30 years old but still sounds so fresh today. Oh and the band members appear in the background walking behind her at various times. Or she just passes by.
Walking down West Pico in L.A. about a year before the riots. Rough time in that city, but for some reason I'm nostalgic for it (probably 'cause I was a youngin' then). Funny thing is it doesn't look too much different today. Maybe a little cleaner.
This music video should have won an Oscar for best film back in the day. Pure art - like the song itself.
This is one of my favorite songs ever! Reminds me of the movie "Sliver" with Sharon Stone.
Best Song of the 90s. THE BEST
lol, it’s in the soundtrack to Sliver..
It's a masterpiece. It's just incredible. I get tingles every time I hear it.
Members of Massive Attack are in the background. Daddy G early on with a kid in a Maroon jacket. Mushroom at a phone box and 3D drops in dressed in a grey trench coat.
3D at the phone box and wearing the trenchcoat. Mushroom pushing the cart.
Love love love ❤️ MASSIVE ATTACK! Haven't heard this in ages
Massive Attack are one of the biggest artist from the British sub genre known as ‘trip hop’ which started in the late 80s I believe. Listen to ‘glory box’ by Portishead too 👍
Sneaker Pimps were brilliant too, Kelly Ali's voice is heavenly.
@@chrisbfreelance tbh I think I only know 6 underground, need to look more into them 👍
Absolutely amazing love this thanku so much wonderful reaction much love and God bless always x
"this whole song is just a vibe bro" ... i feel the same.. and i love the vibe
Check out Portishead too dude ✌️
Gorgeous soulful beautiful track. Awakens something inside me everytime
You have great, great observation! Nothing is accidental!
Everything jenn stetler just said.. QUALITY!
Massive attack the best! They are the best!
Great band & artists. They rotate in different singers. Part of the trip hop era of the late 90's. Listen to entire Mezzanine album.
The world famous artist Banksy is seen in this music video, but I'm not gonna tell you when lol
Also, the video was shot in Los Angeles, one continuous take traveling from 1311 South New Hampshire Ave to 2632 West Pico Blvd.
There is no set schedule for true creativity
Unfinished sympathy is one of my favourite Massive Attack tracks also 'Angel' is great ..check it out. Thanks, brought back special memories.
"Such a relaxing song"? That's what you have to say about a heartcrushing work of genius? That's what you got from it? Relaxing?
He doesn’t look relaxed. That beat propels you.
Great song 👍🏾😊❤️❤️
Still good today ❤️😊🎧
❤️❤️
Wanna try and keep the volume of your voice under control eh......
Bristol ❤
Bristol fashion🎈
I guess filming in Bedminster wouldn't have been quite the same though.
Lol... what is it that 50 cent said?.....er.......sumthin.....er..........ummmmmm.
This is the only one song Tina Turner covered and didn´t improve. Facts.
