I totally L💖ve this tutu....so beautifully simple and I love the amount of time saved making it this way....I actually have the tulle she used at home and made one last night but it kept getting static cling.... so it took me longer than I wanted to spend on it and was considering using a different kind of tulle like the kind with bigger holes....but just not sure about that one. I feel it would be so scratchy for the little ladies. DO you always use the tulle on the 6 in roll or do you ever buy it on the bolt as well? Thanks again I love how you also applied the ribbon (so much better)
I just have to say I have watched tons of tutorials on many things and lots of yours for bows. Out of all of them yours are the best. Clear and to the point but with enough attention to the details that we feel secure in the fact we can follow your instructions and get the same beautiful results. Thank you so much for all the time that you put in to making them for us!
Great video. Inspires me, can remember being your age, working an 8 hr day, feeding the kids at night, got them settled down and then started sewing. I finally saved enough money to open a shop (that was before computers except the ones at work that took an entire room and there was no such thing as Ebay or FB). Hope to get back to being productive and inspired by all you great ladies.
Thank you for inspiration. I haven't done many creative things, since graduating 2,5 years ago with degree in textiles. Little than I knew that it will get so long before I will believe in myself again. I did different tutu, but I did it cause I watched your video. And it may be not totally my thing, I got so much happiness out if doing things with my hands, that I will keep on doing things. Thank you.
I watched your other multi colored video just before this one and I asked if you could sew the ribbon on a head of time. It just makes more sense to me and then feed them through and then cut them apart like you do when quilting. You are amazing. They are absolutely beautiful.
I agree this is a lot less complicated. Some of the other video’s of ribbon on a tutu is extremely difficult and cumbersome. I do this as a hobby, for my great nieces. Thanks for sharing! 😊
omg. i love how u had your baby toddler, watching Frozen,,, we love that movie too isnt it great even for adults.. ..aww an your work is amazing i been liking an following all your work u r a great teacher i didn even have to sign up for sewing class u taught me perfect ,.thank u ! im a stay at home mom, so this was inspiring
I found that keeping the ribbon in one long piece was faster and then using a heated tool kept the heat seal nice and thin and straight. I love your inspiration 💕
I love it!!! this will cut so much time off making it the original way of pulling thru the tulle then sewing on all that endless ribbon, lol. Thanks for sharing this tutorial I will definitely be putting this one to the test!
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful project-that looks so scary, but you've taught me how I can actually do it myself! I can't wait to get started!
Wow. You always do such a great job. I'm going to try this out. I want to make my two girls some tutus for our family reunion next month. Thank you for showing me a easy way of making this.
Omg ! this is the next one on the list to make! thank you for sharing!!! I'm new at sewing and i enjoyed making my last tutu this one is so unique and gorgeous! Thanks again for showing this! 😄😄😄
I made two based on your tutorial. thank you! I'm making for a friend and have a question. I used headbands with mine and had to take them in due to the stretching. When measuring your headband material, I think you said you deduct two inches from the waist measurement. Do you stretch the material out when measuring the waistband or just lay naturally before cutting?
when i saw the first ribbon one i wonde when i saw your first ribbon one i decided i would do mine this way because i dont have a manican. glad to see it will work this way. thanks for your hard work.
I love your tutorial by far the best I've seen and great angles showing exactly what your doing. keep up the great work you have my twins so excited about mommy designing their first tutu... Thanks
Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to teach this method. Your tutus are stunning! I would like to know if you have posted anywhere or could post underneath your video what length to cut for different sizes of the waist band and then the length of tule for each size (e.g. 12 mo, 18 mo, 24 mo, etc.) this is simply fabulous and I would love to be able to make different sizes as my youngest granddaughter grows and also for my granddaughter that’s a little older. Again, thanks a million for the tutorial and I can’t wait to start one for the girls as soon as I know how to size them. 🙏🏼
Hey Sheryl. Awesome video. Thank you for taking the time to share with us!!! You son is a cutie. I noticed that he went to the window and put his head under the blinds to look out. Blinds with cords can cause your child to hang himself. Please don't think I am being negative about your parenting, I just wanted to pass it along in case you didn't know Again, thanks for the awesome video!!
I have notice that others use the same color of thread for the same color of the ribbon, but you use white on all your colors. The reason why others use the same color is to make the thread unnoticeable, but with white thread and the colors not being white, are the thread noticable?
So pretty! Can you don tutorial on how u package the tutu. I dont know about any on else but I sent a tutu to a good friend one time and it was all wrinkled and smashed. Thanks. Love ur work!
I put mine in a 12x12x8 Priority box. I lay tissue paper inside, then gently smush the skirt in, flat, as it will be worn. No folding etc. Then I wrap the matching shirt in tissue and lay on top, then place my "Thank you!" document with instructions (for washing etc) and a printout of the order. Then another piece of tissue paper.
I love your tutorials. I’ve been watching them for about a week. I want to make one for my daughter 12 th birthday. This will be my first time making one. I was wondering what kind of thread and needle do you use
Hi! Sorry if you already replied to this somewhere but I just found questions and no answer for that. Can you please tell what is the ribbon you are using? Is it grosgrain? Satin, polyester ? In one post you said it was 7/8 is that mm? Thank you for the tutorial. I am looking forward to see what else you do. Looks amazing.
Hy. I´m fro Panamá, I like to see the creations in tuts because I would like to do one to my daughter. Sorry for my English but I´m seeing the videos and are so cute and spectacular, My daughter would likes one about the frozen. Thank you. and I´m will seeing more videos.
Do you have a new place to buy the crochet band? I couldn't find it on the hobby lobby site or others I searched. BTW ---LOOOOVE YOUR WORK. I don't even have a little girl and I want to make one. Maybe one of my nieces would like it.
can you make a video showing how to tie the ends of the tulle to make it come to a point? im trying to do a tinkerbell inspired tutu with tied ends that come to a point to look like leaves and i just am not sure how to do it. please and thank you for your help!
Thank you so much for this video! I really appreciate it giving that you don't have much free time now with your little girl! Quick question: what's the width measurement for the ribbons? Did you use all the ribbon rolls you showed at the beginning of the video?
Beautiful work! I have only made these with the tulle already on the band. I will try this next time :) Where do you get your shirts from? Does anyone know where I can order the number themed shirts? I am in Canada. Thanks!
It amazes me how someone can thumbs down some else’s creativity. This is soo pretty and your tutorials are the best. Thank you

I cannot tell you how many times I have watched frozen with my kids and have lived my life with the music in the background.

I love your tutu videos! You are so talented!
Beautiful!
I've made tu-tu but not with ribbon.
Would it be easier if you sewed the ribbon along the entire edge of the tulle then cut?
It might be easier but you would still have to heat seal the ends of all the ribbon which is easier and faster to do before sewn on.

Do you have a go to chart for measurements when cutting and making your own band off the roll?
I have notice that others use the same color of thread for the same color of the ribbon, but you use white on all your colors. The reason why others use the same color is to make the thread unnoticeable, but with white thread and the colors not being white, are the thread noticable?
