I came across your channel 6 years ago. I told myself I’d come back to watch again if I ever had a granddaughter. She’ll be 2 in December and I’m barely finding the courage to try. 🤦🏻♀️😆 So here I go. 🎉 wish me 🍀 luck. I’m on a fixed income so I can’t afford to waste tule 😬😮💨😅
Thank you so much, I'm a grandmother on a fix income and I have 4 granddaughters and I can't afford much but I can make a tutu so I'll just want to thank you so much. I wish I could make the cute shirts that you make.
Good on you Pamela, I have 6 grandchildren, only one girl. And they all seemed to come along at once. Its great though. I love doing things like this for them. Im making my first tutu for my grandaughter for Christmas. I had to use her boy cousin for measurements!!. HE wouldnt be happy if he new what I was making. I had to pretend I was checking he was growing lol, they're both 4. The tutu has been so easy to make. I found the 6" tulle very cheap on ebay, cant remember how much, my daughter ordered it. Ive just seen it for £1.99 for 6" x 100 yards!! and free shipping Ebay again!
Thanks so much. My daughter, 16, step daughter and her friend, 14. All wanted tutus for their customes. With your video I was easily able to make all 3 quick and easy.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I wanted to make one for my daughter's 1st birthday and after seeing this I was confident that I could pull it off. I made it today and it is absolutely gorgeous! The sizing, directions, and tips that you gave were perfect and now so is my daughter's party outfit!
I have searched different tutorials on fluffy skirts but this video you make it look so easy! Thank you for this amazing simple tutorial! I am attempting to make one now! God bless you!
I am fixing to have an alice in wonderland themed birthday for my daughter's first birthday and I needed to find a tutorial to make her tutu for it so thank you!!
This was the BEST video I have seen for making this TuTu. Thank you so much! My daughter is turning 1 in a couple weeks. Can't wait. Again thank you for the very informative video and the sizing!
I got a Closet full of Tule in all colors that I was going to throw out in the trash because I had it for yes because I just couldn't get the hang of tutu making for my New Granddaughter And Of all the tutu Videos I've seen None of them gave me the step.by.step tutorial like you did and I Thank you Sooo!! much because i was Very Confused on which hole do I put the tutu into Next and I came across your video and you showed me Exactly Where I put the next row of Tule Thanks Again Your Amazing!!!👍👏✌
Thanks so much for this basic tutorial. I have a great grand daughter coming at the end of July and I'm so excited. I will be designing her first photo outfit. 😇😊😊
Brilliant tutorial! My GrandDaughter's 2nd birthday is coming up in October, with an ocean theme.... Looking forward to creating this beautifulicious tutu😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I looked at it and was able to make my grand a tutu for her dance performance at our local fair this week. I want to try the ribbon tutu next. Thanks for helping us who doesn't know how to do these things.
Hello. I’m planning on doing this for my twin daughters that are 4. If I was doing all one color at the same 16in. How many strips would I need at the most per skirt?
If you are using the same color, do you still have to go from the bottom to the top by 3's or can you do the full bottom row, then the full middle row and then the top row?
Hi great tutorial, please can you confirm which is the right measurement cause this is totally different to the size that is in the link below. Ty for a great and easier tutorial
Hi there, great demo! please could you tell me if you use the full width of 6" and fold in half lengthways or are you cutting to 3" widths then folding in half along the length before you thread through the band TIA
So i made this tutu but had to go back and buy more tulle 3 times cause i didn't really know how much i needed lol 4 little spools for one 2t tutu. Next time i will just buy the 6 inch and cut in half to make 3 inch thank you again
Thank you for doing this video! I have a granddaughter due in May and her mom is tiny and so I think the baby will be too. I used a 9 inch around headband and it looks adorable, but still pretty big. Should I try a smaller around band or do less rows to make it smaller?
I just did your method, 👍excellent... However I was jusr using a glitter tulle from walmart, epic fail becuz just too much glitter lost, a mess so I didn't finish & I'm throwing it away it has to go 😂😂😂... didn't know that would happen
MonieLove88 I remember purchasing some glitter tulle from JoAnns Fabrics to do a tutu diaper cake, epic fail glitter everywhere for a month smh you are not alone
same here with my daughter's tutu last year. I put it in my trunk during the party so it wouldn't get everything glittery but now my trunk is forever shimmering haha
I decided to use nylon bath scrunchies, cut the cord in the middle straighten it out. It's much softer on infant skin. Extremely inexpensive, easily washable
Your Instagram link doesn’t work And neither Does your Etsy link. And your personal Facebook link doesn’t either. But I followed you on Snapchat & your shops on fb. My sister is having a mermaid themed birthday party in August for my niece and wanted me to make her a tulle skirt and I’m so glad I found your video because it’s very clear on what to do! Thanks so much!!
Cheryl I love you’re videos I’ve learned a lot from you. I’ve tried using google and haven’t gotten anywhere so I’m hoping you can help me. I’m making a tutu for my granddaughters first birthday I’m wanting it to go to her knees but I can’t measure her. Can you tell me from you’re experience how long each sheet needs to be
Loved the video, I have made one for my 5 year old granddaughter the trouble I’m having is that the crochet headband is forever stretching, not sure if it’s the weight of the polyester tule. Have you had a problem like this
I would like to make both my daughters one of these? How much tulle do you think I would need? They are three years old she wears a 3t or 4t and I also have a almost one year old but she wears a 18m to 24m both or depending on the style of clothes they wear. I would also want them really really fluffy.
Hi There, I know you posted this video years ago but hopefully you have any advise on what to do if the waist band is overstretching. I'm halfway done and would hate having to start all over :(
Hello, great question. Try not to pull the tulle too tight and if it is stretched out, you can weave a ribbon on the inside of the waistband and tie it like a belt.
absolutely love this! I was hoping to try and make one for myself for a cute costume this year! would I just measure around my waist for the stretchy band size? also how long would I go with tool strips?

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I wanted to make one for my daughter's 1st birthday and after seeing this I was confident that I could pull it off. I made it today and it is absolutely gorgeous!
