Your video is very insightful and entertaining, thank you so much! I’ve been watching a lot of RUclips reviews and I think I’m going to go for the 90D for video content & product shots.
Since 6 weeks I owned a 90D, especially for nature photography, but I'm not happy with the noise above lets say, iso 1600. It's really bad. After watching this video I'm thinking to trade in my 90D for a new 6d mark II. The lens I using most times is the Canon 100-400 usm is II. I think my pics will be much better with the 6D mark II. I know the video on the 90D is better, but I never use video, so it's useless for me. What's your opinion about it? This video, especially the iso comparison was very helpfull to me. Thanks.
Mixture of Lens and available light for sure. But it's true that fullframes take in more light and are built to deal with noise better at higher ISO. If your shooting wildlife I wouldn't suggest the 6D, it's too slow and has a weak focus system. I suppose I need more info about what exactly your shooting.
@@FoolhardyPhotography Thanks for your respons. I'm want to shoot birds in flight, so I need to have a camera with fast autofocus. But I don't want to spent a lot of money on it ^^
I'm not a wildlife photographer, so my suggestions might not be the best. I suppose a faster sharper lens might help. The 7dmk2 is a good choice I've heard from friends who own them but I'm not sure about the high ISO being better. I would say research budget wildlife photo set ups and see what experienced wildlife photographers have to say.
The focusing system and 6.5fps on the 6D2 should be fine for what you will be shooting. Though I hear the sensor does not have as much dynamic range as the original 6D. I dont know much on this. I own the 6D2 but have not had a lot of time to really use it fully.
Mark, I have the 6D Mark II with the Canon 100-400mm II which I use for wildlife photography. I also use the Canon 1.4 extender, and have gotten usable shots at 12,800 ISO, as long as I expose correctly. I routinely shoot images of rabbits in the shade at ISO 3200 and they look just fine, I really don't have to do much in the way of noise reduction. When I do, I use Topaz Denoise AI to clean it up, which only happens when I shoot above ISO 5000. Your pictures will be better with this camera and lens combo. I looked at getting a 90D, but I am committed to shooting full frame, and I really don't want to look back.
I have the 6D and the 7D. I'd love to move from the 7D (great camera too) to the 90D. But, that old 6D will stay around. The 6D is a low-light beast. Spend the dollars on the lenses.
6D is Definitely still my favorite for portraits and landscapes. The 90d is my filming friend. Ive been shooting my first feature film primarily on the 90d so I can say it's a nice little beast.
I didn't compare the 6dmk2 but it also has some good features. Both cameras can do those things, but one is a fullframe and the other is a apsc and in that comes some differences. The price point is very similar and I would say go for the 6dmk2 and start with the fullframe.
The full frame sensor doesnt "gather more light" and give better image quality - better signal to noise ratio - as a result. Better image quality is down to unit area, in other words the area of the individual pixels, not total area. Its a common mis conception.
@@FoolhardyPhotography Its not that its simple , its the fact that its incorrect and could cause someone to buy the wrong camera. Remember when you choose to be doing technical videos on youtube its because youre putting yourself out there as being an authority on the given subject. Anyway I'm not trying to troll you I'm being constructive so just remember, signal to noise level ( image quality ) comes down to the unit area, not the total area. In other words , how big the pixels are.
i have a 6d mark1 with 24-105mm in mint condition, bought in 2015, 21k shutter count now. Is it stiill a camera to keep in 2020? My purpose is to try more in video, hence thought of upgrading.
True, the 6d falls a bit short in video. However, it's still great for portraits and landscapes, and it still holds up pretty well in low light. Cheers!
Such a noisy and bad review. I cannot focus on the review if you interrupt the video with those unnecessary jokes, comments and loud music. Definetly this is not a review for professional and serious photographers. It is probably for kids doing Tic Toc videos. N O L I K E

Great video. Im amazed at the ISO difference between the two. Ive got the 90d and want to go to full frame for low light inc Astro. I'm sold :)
The best comparison review I've watch ever.. Keep it up bro... ❤️
Cheers to that, much appreciated 🍻👊
Thank you so much I wanted this comparison ❤ Now I can make a decision 🙏🏽
The ISO comparison was the best part! Thanks!!

6ds shutter is so slow compared to the 90d😂

I'll be more specific next time, also I appreciate the criticism. I'll make a video about pixels and sensor size soon enough.
@@FoolhardyPhotography No worries . The 90D sensor is awesome.
