Great review mate! I bought this camera (body only) about a month and a half ago, as an upgrade from my trusty Canon Rebel T3i, and whoa. What an improvement! I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said in this video. Things I love most about the 90D: ▪︎4k video, 60 and 120 fps options ▪︎huge 32.5MP resolution for still photography ▪︎extremely long battery life compared to the LP-E8 that my Rebel used ▪︎insanely fast FPS when shooting stills; I tend to shoot in burst mode A LOT ▪︎Bluetooth and WiFi enabled (I use this more for remote shooting through my phone than I do for file transfers, but it's a great option to have either way) ▪︎articulating LCD screen - personal preference, but an absolutely necessary feature to me - and this one's a touch screen! ▪︎MUCH better low-light performance than I was used to with the Rebel ▪︎Much more to love about this camera but I'm not tryna go for longest YT comment of all time! Biggest disappointments: ▪︎no autofocus at 120fps ▪︎no C-Log for video ▪︎that's literally it. This camera is a beast!! Highly recommend this camera to anyone who considers themselves a serious hobbyist, a prosumer, or an aspiring professional on a budget.

Yes, Kyle, it would work well. Also, you will appreciate the weather proofing if you're in a saltwater environment. You can hit me up on TW or IG if you have specific questions.
If you can afford it, then yes this camera will accomplish almost anything you need (unless you are shooting a multi-million dollar studio-backed feature film). The high resolution compared to the 6D means that if you are looking to print your images, the 90D is well worth the almost 2x price tag (considering all the other things it does oh-so-well). The 6D is honestly a ~5 year-old camera, and with the way technology exponentially advances these days, you're future-proofing yourself if you opt to go with the 90D.
As many have already stated this is the best review I've seen. I really like how you covered both photo and video functions of the camera. Most others seem to only want to cover the video functions. Thank you for the very informative review.
I really appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback Craig! Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad that this dual approach was useful (I figure if someone is only interested in half the camera, they can skip around, but for me, if I'm spending $1200, I want to know as much as possible - glad this resonated). Thank you for joining the channel 🙏
Simply the best tech review of any product I've ever seen online. Extremely thorough, nicely paced and very clear. You covered everything important and in a very nicely explained manner. Fantastic job.
I’ve used Sony for years and now back to Canon again. I bought the 90D because I like the ability to shoot high quality 4K video but also enjoy doing wildlife photography. The 90D paired with the 100-400L is magnificent. Btw, one of your commenters mentioned it was slow for him with BIF. I noticed he was using a rented model and may not have been aware there are some specific menu settings to change to get the best out of the focusing system, for fast action, BIF being one of them. My only point of reference for comparison is my previous Sony A7 III, but I find the 90d on par or better than my Sony. Love this camera body, and love your reviews!
I just received this yesterday, as an upgrade from my D60. I haven't had much of a chance to check it out yet, but one thing that I would recommend to anyone purchasing it is to also purchase an IFC-600 PCU cable to connect the camera to a computer, since it's not included with the camera. You can use a WiFi connection, but I was unable to pair my camera to my computer using WiFi. I'm sure that I could eventually get it to work, but for my purposes (transferring photos from camera to computer) a cable connection is faster than WiFi, so I think I'll just forgo the WiFi. I did pair it with my iPhone via Bluetooth, and the app worked well as an off-camera remote, but it drained the iPhone battery so quickly that I don't see myself using this very often.
Aw man! After the firmware update - and addition of 24fps shooting - the 90D made it back on my wants list and this video made me want it even more! As always, Sagi, thanks for such a thorough review and analysis. I'm looking to get a new computer first, but after that, I think the 90D will be my next acquisition.
I moved to a 90D from - a 5DIV! The full-frame camera was just too big, and too heavy, especially with the various lenses I’d bought to go with it. I’m very pleased with the 90D. I use it primarily with a Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4 ‘C’ lens, and that seems to be able to give me the extra detail that I want with the 32mp sensor. I also use the little 24mm STM pancake lens, a few shots with a 10-18 EF-S lens (that one struggles a bit with the detail for the sensor), and a 70-200 f4 IS - no problems there. I’m very much a traditional stills photographer, I’m retired, and I have a feeling that this is my ‘final camera’. I’m also a long-term Canon (D)SLR user - my first SLR was an EOS 650 - and the 90D just felt completely familiar from the moment I picked it up. I love it.
It's interesting to see your choice of lens for the 90D. I am looking for super sharp detailed images and apart from a couple of the lizard shots in this video the examples shown were not as sharp or detailed as I would like. From what you are saying would you advise that this camera can produce the quality and sharpness but only with the inclusion of specific lenses?.
@@garycampbell9079 I think now that it's a camera that can be tricky. (That original comment was made 11 months ago.) There's a Facebook group for the 90D, 'Canon 90D Owners', with many posts on it, and there's a recurring theme that people are finding it very difficult to obtain shots that are sharp enough for them. Most - almost all? - of these people are wildlife and action photographers, and it does seem that for them not only do they need very good lenses - the Canon EF 100-400 Mk2 is a favourite - but the lenses need to be focus-calibrated. The owners then need to practice and revise their technique. A number of them have gone to the 90D from either a full-frame camera, or from a 7DII, or an 80D. It seems that they are running into problems caused by those switches: a) the 90D's AF is definitely not as sophisticated or as effective as that on the 5DIV or the 7DII - it is definitely NOT a '7DIII', for example; b) the crop-factor means that focal lengths are effectively longer than on full-frame, and that will affect exposure length - e.g. an action shot that you could take at 1/250 on a 5DIV may well require 1/500 or even 1/1000 on the 90D; c) the very small photo sites on the 90D sensor (32Mp on an APS-C body!) means that motion blur is more likely than on a 24Mp APS-C body, e.g. the 80D/70D/etc; and so on. Of course, for the kind of photography I do, those factors don't apply, or at least to a much lower extent. I'm still very happy with it. That said, one of my main reasons for switching to it (as I suggested above) was to get a system that was lighter and handier than my full-frame outfit, and I'm possibly prepared to accept some compromises in lens performance to achieve this. That said, I remain pleased with the performance of the Sigma 17-70, the 24mm STM and the 70-200 f4 IS. Experience has confirmed that, for me, the 10-18 EF-S is compromised, perhaps too far - the 10-22 might be better (I don't know, I have never used it), but it's certainly bigger and heavier. Finally, it is worth saying (which I see that I didn't originally) that I bought the Sigma USB dock which allowed me to a) upgrade the Sigma's firmware, and b) perform focus calibration on it. Sorry to go on so long !
I watched the VIDEO FROM THE START TIL THE BLOOPERS Bro! Super love it. I do have the 80D for quite sometime already. Dropped, Dipped, Tumbled, Squashed and all of the things which most cameras cannot handle and still it is still alive and kicking even with a lot of battle scars. When the 90D came out, I was really excited knowing that it has 4k and IS in body already. I would love to get me one of this very soon. As a film maker and vlogger, battery life is my utmost priority and knowing that it still uses LP-E6N batteries, that's really super great. Thank you for the review and hopefully will be able to have money to buy soon.
I'm so glad that you liked it and that it was useful. I'm right there with you, the 80D is a beast! This camera will feel so familiar in your hands when you pick it up!
I've been considering a new camera for a long time to use for RUclips videos (cooking channel), and the 90D was one of the top condenders. This review sold it to me just based on how you talked about the pros and cons and focused on the details that actually might matter. Thank you so much!
I'm seek for next camera after 14 years with Canon 40D. And I watched at least 8 reviews and comparing videos too, and read pretty much websites. This video is really touches all points I would like to see. Especially the display usage. BIG THANKS! After this video 90D is one of preferable models and I consider to buy it.
I haven't seen a video as well done and comprehensive as this. Been on the edge about purchasing the 90D but this was definitely the tipping point for my choice in purchasing!
@@chunkymomvlogs7220 I'm waiting for price to slightly drops down. I've been thinking is DSLR age is really over. Even if it's so, I'm not ready to buy new lenses or live without viewfinder. So I'm for 90D. For me it's a choice for next 5-6 years.
Watched about 6 videos trying to find out if this camera still had AF in 4K. This is the only video that directly answered that question. Thank you! Subbed.
Thank You I just purchase the Canon 90D three days ago I can’t do anything except play with this camera buying gear, taking photos all my family just keep shaking their heads at me saying that’s all you do now. Feels like it’s birthday and I’m only one who’s celebrating again Thank You👋🏿
Hi Jed - thank you so much or watching and for the really kind words. I'm so glad the video was helpful - and I never know unless I get feedback. Thank you for the support!
70D It's Still A Good Camara I Upgraded With 80D An Is Amazing Camara, Maybe One Day I Go With 90D If Price Go's Down But Im Very Happy With 80D I Get What i Need With It...
Man, thank you for absolutely the best review I've ever seen, your work is amazing and very inspiring for me. I have an old Canon EOS 550D camera and this 90 D looks like a very good upgrade in a price category that I can afford. I already have 2 lenses so I really want to stick with Canon and thanks to informations in your video, I will. Thank you and have a nice day, man.
Getting back into Photography as Hubby had cancer and there just wasn't anytime or money. He is now cancer free! So, we are getting back in!!!! Enjoy you're videos. Looking to upgrade his camera.
You can always count on this channel to provide the most detailed and coherent reviews on RUclips. Thanks, Sagi. This literally answered all my questions. I've been looking for the right 4k DSLR/mirrorless camera (for client work, mainly). I personally love Canon and was hoping the 90d would be the one. The lack of af in 120fps is such a big bummer (especially given how good their duel pixel af is...). Loved the bloopers at the end XD!
So glad it was useful Omry. Thanks for the kind words and continued support! This is a fantastic DSLR! If you're looking for something smaller, check out the M6 Mark II ruclips.net/video/3Dh2cqok6_o/видео.html
Professional review! This video gave me everything I needed to know before purchasing the 90D.. I love the camera.. I replaced a Mid line Rebel with this... Took over 300 stills and 10 videos on the first day of use. I wished as well it had USB-C, but the card pops out so quickly its really a non issue..It focuses just as fast as the lens will allow..Thank you again sir.... Dave
Best review I've so far on the 90D: well organized, comprehensive, and to-the-point. Easy to follow without the typical RUclipsr eccentricities. Subscribed.
The most in depth review I've seen in a long time! Would you say the 90D is good enough for commercial work, like weddings, corporate and even short films on a budget?
Appreciate the kind words and support Danny. 100% good enough for commercial work. ZERO DOUBT! Tons of creators have been using the 80D and the 90D is a beast.
I’m still undecided to which DSLR to buy. The 90D sits within the price range I’m looking at and this review has been a great help to summarise the cameras spec and features. Awesome.
Very thorough review of the 90D. Great upgrade from Rebel T5i to continue using current lenses but so much more capability, including weather & dust protection on planned trips to southwest deserts, Hawaii and Alaska for landscape, nature and wildlife.
Awesomely detailed overview and simplified to understand. The 90D is what I am seriously considering upgrading to from the T3. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and opinions.
@@alonzohollingsworth7712 Well…. I did go out to purchase the 90D and ended up with the Canon R7. You are correct, the 90D is a bit of a beast! The R7 was a bit more $$’s than I was intending to spend but for the technology, weight, options, etc., I think this camera will suit me well. The form factor of the R7 vs. my old T3i are much closer than with the 90D. With the ability to use my other Canon lens, I don’t feel that I need to rush out and purchase the RF lenses. That said, the 100mm-400mm is looking pretty nice…. So a question for you, what’s the timing of your review of the R7? 😉 Keep up the great work on your feed and thanks!

I hope this review of the Canon 90D was helpful. Did you like it? I wasn’t sure I was going to like this camera because it was a DSLR. The image quality is excellent, the dual pixel autofocus is fantastic and the fully articulating touchscreen is always a feature i love. Was there too much detail? Not enough? What did you like, and also, what did you not like? What would you like to see more of? Would love to know what you think, good or bad. I am grateful in advance 🙏
I checked out your video then scraped together the money along with my 80D as a trade-in and picked up the 90D. I absolutely love it. You hit the nail on the head with your review. I find that this camera is a lot more “pro feeling” due to its ergonomics but because Canon does such a good job, it’s super easy to use. Thanks for your review. BTW - you got a new subscriber too.
Excellent video and it featured a lot of info I haven't seen in any other - For example, the tripod-friendly card & battery positioning is a big plus for me.
I seem to buy a new Camera every 10 years. I still use my canon 50D which I bought in 2010. Lol 😂 thanks for this awesome review, this video has push me closer to purchasing the 90D. You earned a new subscriber😀
I'm super glad it was helpful! Thank you for the kind words and for joining the community 🙏 This would be quite an upgrade. If you want to try a mirrorless option that is less expensive with similar features, check out the: ruclips.net/video/Nir8pfvfdFI/видео.html
Hi My beloved 50D has some issues (such as the dreaded error 30). My running thought is that I will move up to the 90D and have Canon repair my 50D which can be used as a backup camera. The worst part for me is not the price or that the 50D uses a CF card. No, the worst thing is that the battery packs are not interchangeable.
I bought my 50D in Dec. 2008 and it's still working good, except for the lens has a problem with the zoom control, I've just recently ordered a 90D, which will be here soon. :-)
Sagi, I've watched this review many times and I got to tell ya this is one of the best if not the best Canon 90D review on RUclips and I got mine a couple months ago and I am absolutely loving it. Their is only one thing I respectfully disagree with. You mentioned how the 120fps mode in 1080p is almost useless but it's actually very usable. Like you said, even though it doesn't have autofocus which sucks, it has one feature no other Canon DSLR has, which is focus peaking and that makes manual focusing so much easier to use. In addition, their is a little "hack" to getting auto-focus in 120fps. Basically you press on the part of the screen you want in focus, hold the shutter button down and then you're in focus. But other than that excellent, well put together review.
Super appreciate the feedback and kind words. If I did it over again I would re-phrase that. It was probably a big harsh - based on my experience with my sony cameras for 120fps with af it was a step back. But it's definitely usable. Thank you so much for being a part of the community 🙏
My plug recommended 90D after 3 requested him for a camera that can do superb photos and small videos for my real estate business and I decided to look up for its review here on RUclips. Then you popped up after my search! Thank you for the indepth analysis and review! Needless to say, I am paying for it tomorrow!
Still a beginner on cameras and been struggling to watch several reviews out there. But you're review helped me a lot, thanks very much! Oh and I also liked those lizard pics 😄
Purchased this last week. Such a dang good camera. Mirrorless means nothing against a DSLR like this. Got the ISO up to 1600 with no grain on 4k video. Just an insanely good camera. Besides the 1Dxii or the 1Dxiii, this is Canons best camera.
@@TechGearTalk It's awesome. I loved your review as well. The one thing I don't like about mirrorless is the small size, I have large hands and I also loge the intimidation factor of a large camera.
I've just bought this camera, actually a few days ago, and just published the unboxing and first impressions...from my humble vlogger point of view I can say it's an awesome camera...the the 120fps 1080 and 4k with no crop and dual pixel autofocus are the two main reasons why I decided to get the 90D. I was surprised when I found out that the built-in microphone produces a great quality sound...when I switch from built in microphone to rode videomicro outdoors, if there isn't much wind, I can barely hear the difference. I love this camera. Thank you for your videos, they are always really helpful.
Nice video review, thanks for taking the time. BTW, I’m digging the background that you created for your multi monitor setup, it’s kinda mesmerizing. Keep it up!
Liked your review, Wish you had mentioned something about GPS, I'm going to buy it because I think it will fit well in the type of photography I'm into Thank You
Totally agree with the comment below !!!! I recently purchased a 90D and have been all over YT searching for tutorials/reviews. My search is over. Thanks for your concise comments... BTW, I joined the group and look forward to future videos.
I ordered the 850D (rebel T8i) but canceled it because of your video. I’m a beginner but I think that this camera is more future proof and I would love to explore all the settings as well as different photography styles, the extra money hurts but it’s worth it I guess hahah. Thank you for this amazing review! I’m expecting this camera in 2 days, can’t wait.
nice job.... I purchase before watching.... and you just confirmed I made the right call. I am a long time Canon user, but the last one I purchase was the 50D. This is a big upgrade. Excited to do move with video! Again, nice job and thanks...
CONGRATS!!! How dare you buy before watching? The title was very specific! 😂🤣 Appreciate the kind words and super excited for you - it's a great camera.
Great review incredibly in in-depth thank you very much. I am seriously considering getting a 90d I was going to go full frame but I really feel like there isn't that much of a difference anymore, crop sensors have come such a long way and I think the 90d offers some great options compared to some of the full frame cameras that are out there.
I'm super glad it was helpful! Thank you for the kind words and for joining the community 🙏 I'm a big fan of going with an aps-c model because of the affordable lenses. I value that over full frame.
What's up Emmanuel. I used it with this one: ruclips.net/video/urugXDg3hnM/видео.html and here is one other option: ruclips.net/video/jOsOuHRDwm0/видео.html Hope this is helpful. let me know if you have any questions.
So glad the video is helpful David! The 90D is a fantastic camera. I LOVE Dashlane - glad to hear it's been working for you. Thank you so much for being part of and supporting the channel!
You are absolutely awesome for mentioning little things that can be huge factors in someone's buying decision. I first noticed this when you reviewed 200D Mk ii (SL3) & pointed so many things that usual reviewers either dont care to inform or just plain do not know! I crossed out that camera after you reviewed & forewarned several issues which would have made me regret buying it. Thank you. Keep up the good work.
Doing the same myself this year. As much as i like the 90D, I can see that the RF mount is going to be the future for Canon so I will most likely end up getting the EOS RP. Mainly due to the price & wait until Canon releases some better RF mount based camera bodies.
THAT. IS. AWESOME!!! Congratulations Geoff. Can't wait for you to get it and to hear about how it works out for you. Tag me on IG or TW when you post some 90D content (if you remember)
A great review as opposed to talking specifications and comparing those with other manufacturers. My Canon 40D developed problems and considering its age, not worth investing the money to repair, so a 90D must be it. I was advised to consider mirrorless or a high-quaiity, compact all-in-one. Since I own a Canon EFS Kit lens and Sigma Wide Angle, the 90D is the most logical choice.
I have a bunch of ef and efs lenses. Dont want to invest to much in Canon but I've already got rid of my old bodies. I got the Sl3 for something cheap and I hated it. Retuned it within the week. Even the grip was bad. This is probably what I need. Side card slot, joystick and crazy good battery life. This thing looks awesome.
Actual I use the EOS 50D, round about a decade old, 85000 pictures captured... I think the EOS 90D will be my christmas gift for myself this year... Thanks for your video!!!
I was waiting the whole video for something bad about this camera. Aside from the image stabilization, this camera legit fits every single one of my needs and I've been looking for a new camera for over a year now. Thank you for such a comprehensive review. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these asap.
@@TechGearTalk Absolutely. One question - if possible, what would you recommend for full frame that is comparable in price and performance? I am mainly photography focused. Like I said..if possible ;)
I’ve been using an 80D for two years now and thought it was the best cameras for me. Now I’m not so sure. The 90D is starting to look better and better.
I watched this to kill some time while I'm waiting for my 90D to be delivered (as an update for my Stone Age 60D and a companion for my 6D full frame). I've watched a lot of reviews for a lot of cameras and lenses in my time and this was one of the best. Thanks!
Hi Peter. First, CONGRATS on the big upgrade!!! Thank you very much for the kind words and for joining the channel 🙏 I can't wait to hear what you think about it once you get it. What will you use it for?
I also have 60D and 6D - want to keep that FF and the 6DMkII not enough to convince me to upgrade. But this 90D for video work - absolutely incredible!!
I just picked this baby up last night upgrading from a t5i thank you so much this is one one the best reviews I've seen on here and you sir have just gotten a new subscriber
One of the best reviews on Canon Eos 90D I have seen. I did make a order on the Canon Eos 90D with a 18-55 mm IS STM lense, and also the Canon EF-S 55-250mm 4-5,6/ IS STM lense. Thank you for a great review.
Just got mine yesterday. After much researching for reviews & tech specs made my decision & your video definitely confirmed me feeling confident in my decision for stills & short film videos for myself not being a professional photographer using common sense in comparisons & price points. Well elaborated, descriptive breakdown (comprehensive is an understatement.) I found no where else so simply put & articulated
First, congrats! You got such a good camera. Super glad the video was helpful and appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback. Good luck and thanks for being part of the channel! 👊
@@TechGearTalk your welcome, I often don't but had to let it be known for this one. I'm looking for lenses now, you mentioned a few other videos on the camera?

I've been looking at cameras for months. First i decided i was going to buy the sony a6400 then all of a sudden the Nikon z50 and the Canon m6 mark ii was in the mix. Then i added the Canon rp and 90d fuji's xs10 and xt30. Back and forth back and forth until today when I bought the 90d with a 50mm 1.8lens. Hope i made the right choice
Hi there, me and my girlfriend hope to open a travel blogging business and we’re really lost as to what cameras to buy. Your reviews have just convinced me to buy the 90D. The absolutely stunning footage you took of the boats and tropical drink is exactly what we are looking to recreate in our reviews and product promotions. Thank you for the great review!
Chiming in as well, ditto to all the great comments already stated about this awesome video and you. Really spent a lot of time trying to figure out what my first Camera would be. Sony A6400/A6600, Panasonic GH5, Canon R/RP, M50 (was my favorite, but not as capable), small units for simple quick Vlogging Sony ZV-1 and Canon G7. Since the majority of the work would be in my house, with controlled lighting, I thought that your video really drove it home for me. From all of the complications of Sony and the overheating issues that I keep seeing and hearing about even thought they offer unlimited recordings... Lots of people also use the Panasonic GH5 and love it, but it seems that Canon in comparison is better, plus having such a wide selection of lens, even though most are cost prohibitive for most of us, the choices and quality are outstanding. Plus all of the features that you have highlighted in this video, that I wasn't aware of (thank you), just really makes me feels good to think that purchasing this camera, but a perfect solution for me since I have TONS to learn, plus starting out, you know. Loved the bloopers at the end! I will be purchasing my first Canon 90D this week and will start the learning process. Thanks again for the perfectly executed video from start to finish as I know it must be tremendous work to complete.
I ordered a 90D which I expect in tomorrow. Thank you for the detailed review and you have only re-enforced my decision to buy this camera. I am a photography enthusiast and not a professional so this will handle my needs. Again., thanks for a great detailed review.
Dude, you are the best! You collect so much data, organise them and creat a beautiful video. Your videos are loaded with details. You are the best tech reviewer in RUclips ❤️❤️❤️
I ordered the 90D and then watched this video (should have done it the other way around) but this only made me even happier that I chose the 90D! Thanks for this detailed review!
I think on of the most important reason people are shifting from DSLR to Mirror Less is the use of EVF which pre-determines how the picture would be. I suggest that in DSLR camera such as 90 D canon should accommodate optional EVF on hot shoe in addition to OVF for those who prefer EVF can have this option on and off. during EVF view The mirror should remain open as it does on video. So the user will have both option of EVF and OVF and DSLR cameras will not be obsoleted in near future.
That's fair. I prefer an EVF. At that point, I'd probably just get the M6MKII ruclips.net/video/Nir8pfvfdFI/видео.html because there would be not much reason to use the larger and heavier 90D. What do you think?
@@TechGearTalk Your are right . But there are two reason to buy larger camera. i. When you are shooting in party you will get importance of a professional photographer and will be dealt accordingly. The other one looks a toy camera in hand for enthusiastic people. ii. It can accommodate more buttons and easier to hold and less shaky to use. You might consider the example of mobile phones firstly they very huge then they become tiny now once again larger is better. I think battery life of dslr is best for shooting lengthy shoot outs and installation of bigger lenses looks more suitable at DSLRs. So why don't we have both in one option EVF + OVF. It will be a kind of hybrid camera.
Interesting. But in essence we're making the argument for a larger mirrorless camera. What about a smaller mirrorless camera with a battery grip? That would give it the look of a DSLR and better handling - just a thought
I watch a lot of product knowledge videos. Your videos are very good. So easy to understand. I like how you don't talk about what is non essential.. Your voice is easy to listen (which I can't say for some, where info is good, but some have terrible speaking voices) A well balance video, the voice level is consistent, lighting very good. Well produced... Very professional. My back ground. I worked for a production company doing hair and makeup for ten years, so I've been on set and yes helped with grip and assisting.. I also do photography and video..
Detailed, impartial review. I really enjoyed it and although it is the nth one I've watched of this camera, I learned a few more things than I did from other reviews I have watched. Good job! 👍🏾
I've been shooting 35mm since I was 10, recently got my hands on a 10 mp Pentax, which I picked up because I have so many SLR lenses for that body. I am a very seasoned shutterbug, but really new to the digital world of photography. I'm lookng at this camera as an upgrade. Thank you for the video
Thanks was looking at 5D Mark IV and it had a lot of negative reviews, whereas this is a huge step up from my old Classic 5D (12.5 Megapixels LOL) and this is just so much more camera, yet has the body architecture I am already comfortable with.
Glad it was helpful. If you’re coming from a 5d, you’ll just pick this up and start shooting. It’s going to feel so “right” in your hands. What do you normally shoot?
This was the best, most comprehensive 90d review of all time.
Oh wow, thanks. Glad it was helpful 👊🏻

No cap. Could of detailed a lil more in the 120 fps mode. But wavy vid.

Great review mate! I bought this camera (body only) about a month and a half ago, as an upgrade from my trusty Canon Rebel T3i, and whoa. What an improvement! I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said in this video.
Things I love most about the 90D:
▪︎4k video, 60 and 120 fps options
▪︎huge 32.5MP resolution for still photography
▪︎extremely long battery life compared to the LP-E8 that my Rebel used
▪︎insanely fast FPS when shooting stills; I tend to shoot in burst mode A LOT
▪︎Bluetooth and WiFi enabled (I use this more for remote shooting through my phone than I do for file transfers, but it's a great option to have either way)
▪︎articulating LCD screen - personal preference, but an absolutely necessary feature to me - and this one's a touch screen!
▪︎MUCH better low-light performance than I was used to with the Rebel
▪︎Much more to love about this camera but I'm not tryna go for longest YT comment of all time!
Biggest disappointments:
▪︎no autofocus at 120fps
▪︎no C-Log for video
▪︎that's literally it. This camera is a beast!!
Highly recommend this camera to anyone who considers themselves a serious hobbyist, a prosumer, or an aspiring professional on a budget.
You can leave as long a comment as you want when it's filled with super valuable information! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and for contributing. Thank you for joining the community 🙏
Would you recommend this as a marketing agency camera? We shoot yachts, food, people, etc. Between this and the 6D Thanks!
Are you using the 90D with the original 100-400L or the second gen 100-400L II, I've read some reports of it being soft with the original 100-400L
Good insight! I usually just use an SD card reader but this is another great workflow example. Appreciate you contributing.
Aw man! After the firmware update - and addition of 24fps shooting - the 90D made it back on my wants list and this video made me want it even more! As always, Sagi, thanks for such a thorough review and analysis. I'm looking to get a new computer first, but after that, I think the 90D will be my next acquisition.
Jay, as always, I appreciate you watching and sharing your feedback. I think this camera is an absolute beast! Let me know if you pick one up.
I love it.
Hi Tom - I really appreciate you taking the time to share your extensive experience. Glad that you like the 90D!!!

I've been looking for the right 4k DSLR/mirrorless camera (for client work, mainly). I personally love Canon and was hoping the 90d would be the one.
The lack of af in 120fps is such a big bummer (especially given how good their duel pixel af is...).

Hi
My beloved 50D has some issues (such as the dreaded error 30).

You nailed it. So many people buy a camera online without ever holding it - baffles me.

THAT. IS.
I don't care for cameras without the optical view. That has kept me from going mirrorless. Upgrading from 70D to the 90D soon. Thanks, great review!
serieusly, I just bought it 6 hours ago xD
Oh wow, CONGRATS!!!
Erik, it's awesome. If you're looking for a DSLR - it's a beast!
Thank you for your review. I bought the camera and couldn't be happier with it.
Congrats Martin! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and for the kind words. Thank you for joining the community 🙏
Actual I use the EOS 50D, round about a decade old, 85000 pictures captured...
I think the EOS 90D will be my christmas gift for myself this year...
Thanks for your video!!!
It would be an amazing gift to yourself - fantastic camera! Hope this was helpful. Thanks for being part of the channel!
@@TechGearTalk hi
A gteat video... Helped a lot.
I was waiting the whole video for something bad about this camera. Aside from the image stabilization, this camera legit fits every single one of my needs and I've been looking for a new camera for over a year now. Thank you for such a comprehensive review. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these asap.
So glad that it was helpful! If you're looking for an APS-C DSLR this is my favorite one right now. Enjoy it!!!
@@TechGearTalk Absolutely. One question - if possible, what would you recommend for full frame that is comparable in price and performance? I am mainly photography focused. Like I said..if possible ;)
Fantastic review. You convinced me to get the 90D instead of a mirrorless.
CONGRATS Eric!!! Sorry for the late reply - appreciate you joining the community 🙏👊
One of the best reviews on Canon Eos 90D I have seen.
I did make a order on the Canon Eos 90D with a 18-55 mm IS STM lense, and
also the Canon EF-S 55-250mm 4-5,6/ IS STM lense.
Thank you for a great review.
So glad it was helpful! Thank you for the kind words and for supporting the channel!
Here is my current EF-S lens video ruclips.net/video/UUPqjPs5Iw8/видео.html
Your reviews are the most useful and most productive. I love your reviews. Excellent!
So glad they are helpful. Thank you for being part of the channel!
I recently brought a canon 90D and is added to my 2 canon 80Ds cameras and I will use it mainly for video recordings
Great review! But the real question is what camera are you using to shoot this video? It looks great! Is it the 90D as well?
Thanks so much Josh 🙏 Here is all my gear (at the time this video was shot) ruclips.net/video/Knqufkb35kY/видео.html Hope that helps. Thanks for being part of the channel!
This is by far the best video review on Canon 90d..... Really packed with all the necessary deets. Thanks Boss...
Hi Christopher, so glad I was able to help. Thank you so much for joining and supporting the channel 🙏
I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and for the kind words. Thank you for joining the community 🙏
I appreciate you watching the videos and taking the time to leave such kind feedback! Thank you for your support!
I ordered the 90D and then watched this video (should have done it the other way around) but this only made me even happier that I chose the 90D! Thanks for this detailed review!
CONGRATS!!! That is such a good buy! Super glad you liked the review and let me know how it works out for you. Thanks for joining the channel!
I’ve been using one for a few months now, I love it so far I don’t feel limited at all.
Congrats Jose! It's such a great camera.
@@TechGearTalk thank you for the review I watch this before actually buying it.
I had a 70D and loved it. You provided an awesome review and I now own the 90D. It's the BOMB!!!
CONGRATS!!! Such a good camera. Glad I could help.
Upgrading from a 700D to the 90D and I’m so happy about this review.
Thank you so much ☺️
Great, insightful, and comprehensive video. You have sold me. I just purchased the Canon M90D and I can't wait until I receive it.
Your voice is easy to listen (which I can't say for some, where info is good, but some have terrible speaking voices)
A well balance video, the voice level is consistent, lighting very good.
Good job! 👍🏾
I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and for the kind words. Thank you for joining the community 🙏
