No you cannot determine the health of a person solely by their appereance, to do that you need to know their biological markers too which you clearly don't. Anyway I'm out loser.
I've studied nutrition for many years now after discovering how diet contributes to cancer. But even so, your vid has added to what I've learned. This type of stuff should be taught in school.
Don't you study different diets around the world and like the US people poop 3 to 4oz a day and people in many places with a much healthier diet poop at least a 1lb a day.

I am a cancer survivor (bowel cancer r/h hemicolectomy done) and had a lot of my lymph nodes in my bowel taken out too. ☹ I didn't realise that a huge part of your immune system is contained within your gut and digestive system. I'm now a lot more prone to being ill as my immune system is not up to par anymore ☹ Watch what you eat because the saying you are what you eat (not exactly true but it is in a certain way ! 😲😲)
Your education is invaluable. I’ve been listening to you almost daily for the last 2 years. I feel super health following your guidance on Keto and IF….many thanks.
Dr. Berg, I started watching your videos pretty recently and really started to be serious about intermittent fasting, keto, and exercise, and it has made a WORLD of difference. I’ve lost 30 pounds in the last two months, but more importantly, I have more energy, I feel clearer in the head, my motivation has gone way up. It’s incredible the difference it has made. Thank you for all you do, because I think you might be saving my life here.
I didn't know how poop was toxic until I've got diagnosed with liver cirrosis. In final stages of that sickness, I had dementia symptoms because my liver didn't worked and I had to take and horrid medicinal syrup to help my body cleaning my blood. I trembled so badly that couldn't use a pencil anymore, don't remember words when I spoke and was not able to use my phone anymore. I needed somes trips at the hospital because I had poop in my intestines and it intoxicated my blood. I had to take prophylactic antibiotics for almost a year because if I don't, I had life threatening fever. All thoses symtoms were because some poop was in my intestines for more than 8h. Its very very toxic and we have no idea all the jobs ours liver do before it starts failing. I had a transplant last year, at days of dying of liver failure. I was lucky. Take great care of your body everyone because you don't know how mutch it's important before it's start failing.
Give thanks and I’m happy that you found out in time and take action. We have to take care of our bodies, if we don’t want to have all these illnesses and making so many trips to the doctor when in fact it’s just our way of eating . Some people have backed up poop in their system and the poisonous toxins from it can cause all those problems because the liver cleanses the blood before it’s taken to all the various parts of the body and if the liver is overworked and can’t do its job any more then we are going to end up with all these problems with toxins spilling out in the bloodstream affecting our brain, getting dizzy spells , fevers and even pain in the legs . So put the right stuff in your body and you will get good result.
I hope you never stop making us these health teaching videos. You are so engaging and always informative. I am an RN at a hospital. And I have learned so much from you over the last few years. I frequently use this information to teach my patients. And I also refer them to you!! 😊 😃 😎
Dr. Berg, I've been a silent but keen viewer of your videos for quite some time. Your advices are profound, and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to learn from you ! Thank you so much !
One thing I would like to add to your wonderful advice is that a 20-minute brisk walk every other day has been very good for my regularity in addition to eating properly. I certainly notice the difference when I can't exercise for a while for some reason. Thank you for sharing so much natural health information. It has changed my life and for once I am motivated to keep with it because not only does it all work but also understanding the science behind good eating and the consequences of bad choices is really motivating. Thank you!
I agree! Walking everyday is so important! And stay away from inflammatory foods and stress etc. I was just in the hospital for back to back surgeries: a burst appendix followed by an adhesion small intestine bowl obstruction. I was doing Keto and IF before this and was in pretty good shape. The bowl obstruction, as it was explained to me was not do to constipation but a complication related to my appendix. I went out of my way to walk in the hospital and now at home i’ve built up to an hour on flat ground - I feel like I’m preaching to the choir but its so important to get your body moving and stay away from garbage processed foods and sugar / carbs.

Thank you Dr.Berg for always considering the cause of the issue and not just throwing "medications" at people because it's easier. You're an "upstreamist" in the medical world and that is so important! Always learning from you!!

It's interesting that I saw this because it confirms what I already wondered. I literally just changed my diet this month (eating broccoli and green beans every single day for the last 3 weeks) and I noticed a difference in my BMs from day one. Thank God for broccoli.
I remember while I was doing OMAD I decided to fast for a week. I was surprised on day 4 of fasting when I had a movement even though I hadn't ate in 4 days and before that I was only eating 1 meal a day. The body really cleans and heals itself.
@@krayziejerry Just fast for a week, you'll have diarrhea and afterwards you'll only have to go once every 2-3 days. From there pay attention to what you're eating to see what your body isn't digesting.

In some people constipation is entirely stress related. Get rid of the stress, no issues whatsoever going to the washroom. If the stress source is family, maybe go for long walks.
@@experimenthealthyketo83 ❤🙂 Bingo. Real food decreases huge amounts of stress problems, and also goes a long way to help with mental health issues. But we still have to add changing our ways, in how we deal with stress and triggers. There are many selfhelp books out there....

I do think Dr Berg should have health food shops, he's a big brand now, or even keto restaurants. It's a lot of work and dedication staying on a ketogenic diet, so a keto restaurant would be very convenient. I really think its something Dr Berg should consider.

@Helpm'boab I have had IBS for several years, triggered by 10 days of chronic gastroenteritis. I didn't eat anything for 6 days straight because it would pass straight through me,...it was a horrible time & I lost so much weight I looked like an anorexic. After hospital tests, found out that that dairy is my food trigger & also stress can set it off. I remember having a colonoscopy, after spending most of the previous day sitting on the bathroom loo, & watching the camera navigate my intestine on a TV screen above my head. It all looked so shiny & clean, I felt like I didn't want to eat & dirty it up again! 😀
All you have to do is look at the sheer physical size of 5 to 20 lbs of anything and you'll realize just how unlikely that would be. Look at a gallon of milk at about 8 1/2 pounds per gallon, a 5 lbs bag of sugar or flour, or 10 lbs of ground beef. Imagine that much mass concentrated to such a small area of your body.
Dear Jay, the large and small intestines take up a huge amount of one’s torso. We can easily hold that much, given how long digestion takes. 48-72 hrs. + ya buddy, that steak dinner you had Friday night won’t leave you until Monday.

Constipation has recently been confirmed as an early symptom of dementia. So many issues are linked to fast food and processed food. My mum just left us ... she was 98 with no illness, no arthritis - she lived on a restricted diet until late 1960s when the ration books finally disappeared in England then continued on a basic, bland but healthy diet out of choice. She had treats but they were occasional. She did eat lots of toast and cakes however - making up for lost time. She was still tiny in her final years but regularly suffered with constipation. It's all about the food!!!
My Mom's dementia started at 75. It could have started earlier but because she's always been so eccentric it was hard to notice. Her diet has always been bad. There's no value in the cracker aisle and that was her favorite place. Now I'm working to stop the progression. Keeping her away from sugar helps but with every bite, she says it needs sugar. 🥴 So glad you're Mom made it to 98. That's almost a miracle these day. 🙂

If you are constipated for more than 2 days you should call your doctor because it is very dangerous. My BIL was constipated due to a twisted intestinal track and it almost killed him. Constipation is about your diet most of the time but once you are older you should be taking fiber pills and drinking far more water as dehydration is more than likely the problem. Fruits and veggies contain lots of water so when they hit the intestines the water is released and it acts like you drinking water.

In one year, meat consumption totalled 1,240 oxen, 8,200 sheep, 2,330 deer, 760 calves, 1,870 pigs and 53 wild boars and they drank 600,000 gallons of beer." 2. Dr. Berg looks great with stubble.
Meat is great and I can vow that the animals at their time would be packed with so many nutrients compared to ours that they would be considered superfood the issue is that the nobles didn't drink water and with some exceptions could not care less about physical activity

From my research about colon therapy, the emphasis is not necessarily on cleansing out toxic poop in the colon or constipation which it does certainly do, but a theory that the thin mucous layer of the colon lining becomes hardened, darkened and builds up in successive layers over time especially when one eats an unhealthy diet or a diet which contributes to inflammation. It is suggested that sometimes, in very extreme cases, this mucoidal and sub-mucoidal fecal matter may be as thick as a quarter of an inch thick and may be hardened to the consistency of tire rubber as it may be mixed with epithelial cells and lots of fibrin. But from my discussions with a few people that have done hundreds of autopsies on human colons this build-up does not seem to exist. But I will say this about colonics. I get two to four of them a year by a professional and about three hours after the treatment I notice a distinct decrease in stiffness in my joints and body. Very dramatic reaction to this therapy. I wonder if it has to do with stimulating lymph flow and blood circulation in some way.

Love love love the scruffy beard and all your info. Fyi: 1 tablespoon of castor oil cleanes me out. (You can flavor it - not so bad) Then I eat 1 tablespoon sourcrout. Hope this helps someone. 🌻
For constipation, drink 10 oz of water first thing after waking . It should work in about 10 minutes. If that doesn't work take a magnesium right before bed and drink the water in the morning. This used to work for me, after a while all I needed was the water in the morning.
Yes. Also If constipated. Take high dosage of vitamin c And magnesium. Also walk. Zumba or yoga is good to help massage bowel. Another thing to do is drink olive oil before bed If highly constipated. Introduce good fats into your diet like avocado and grain fed organic butter.

Dr Bernard Jensen helped my mother when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and given 6 months to live. Through his health guidance she was able to shrink the tumor to almost nothing. She lived 7 years. At that time the Jensen Clinic was in Escondido California, I believe. Now I think the Jensen Clinic is in Mexico.
yeah not doing colon cleance is just crap it also i have see people that think they are fine with 1 or 2 bowel movements get out 7 bowel movements for 15 days and be like day and nigth diffrence , also they get toxic and affect the liver ( colon cancer main metastasis is the liver)
I had an ex with 4ft of poop in his colon from constipation (showed up in an ultrasound) because he was just eating pizza and drinking soda. He always had these horrible attacks where he would double over and sweat and nearly pass out from the pain. And he was a thin good looking dude so we never even considered that he was just backed up. We just gave him some milk of magnesia and that seemed to help a lot. Eat your greens and probiotics people.

Bless you and thx for sharing your experience.
God bless you brother 🙏❤️
So put the right stuff in your body and you will get good result.
i’m so glad you got a transplant before it as too late.i think the information in your post will help a lot of people. thank you for posting.

All you have to do is look at the sheer physical size of 5 to 20 lbs of anything and you'll realize just how unlikely that would be. Right...unbelievable how much waste accumulates in the colon. This is why I believe, some colonics for very toxic bodies is necessary.
Do colonics kill the good bacteria in the colon?
@@jewelsbarbie
Even though your question wasn't for me, just want to let you know that colonics can strip the good bacteria of people with relatively good health and a relatively healthy colon because the good bacteria is more abundant in them than the bad. But if you're toxic with a toxic colon, colonics can only help by eliminating all that bad bacteria that has overtaken your colon. But once you've reached colon health and have more good bacteria than bad, colonics should not be done repeatedly. Anyway, just wanted to share, what I've read 🙏

I do enema once/week morning and night and I get rid of 2 kg of poop, with a very hard consistency ,I guess from months in my colon. Try Senna (Sennakot) Natural Laxative, Orange Juice ( check Sugar levels if diabetic) Prune Juice also Pine Nuts ( small handful ) helps many people
Hope that helps
Eat orange not orange juice ,that way you will be free from constipation . Also soak 3 tbsp of chia seeds daily . Orange and chia seeds high in fiber and calcium. Make a pudding with one cup of flax milk , 3 tbsp of chia seeds , 2tbsp of coconut palm sugar , 1 tsp of ashwaganda root powder (good for stress) , 1 tsp of dry ginger powder ( good as immunity booster… you can get organic from amazon or Indian grocery shop like patidhar) .
Most importantly also you may not be drinking enough water , focus on that too!

@@Zaediac Hi there! One of the best ways of knowing what's good/not good for ourselves is to observe ours reactions after eating (and not just the next few hours, but one or two days, or more). Some reactions are instant, others are slower.
Keeping a journal and noting how we felt after eating this or that and then remove them and observe the differences before and after.
Some are simply one aliment, others are combinations of two or more, and so for sure it takes time and attention. But, when it's for our health, isn't that motivating?

I put a whole lemon in a blender with a TSP of pink salt and drank it. The next morning let’s just say I was cleaned out pretty well. It was that simple.
I just wanted to thank you for these videos. I had problems and ended up seeing a gastrologist and had a CT scan an endoscopy and colonoscopy done(also LOTS of blood drawn at different steps) and all they wanted to do was prescribe me meds and treat my symptoms. Throughout the whole process I didn't encounter ONE doctor who asked about my diet and eating habits. Once I was done with these "professionals" I started doing my own research and found simple solutions to most of my problems. I already had an idea about what I needed to change but I wanted a doctor to look into it and make sure it wasn't anything like cancer or some form of organ failure, worse case scenarios in general. I make so much ferment and haven't had a colonic in years because my diet is now better than ever. Again, thank you!
Two facts of the day.
1. Henry the Eighth had massive constipation problems. "With the diet that Henry ate, it is no wonder that he had some digestive issues. Henry, of course, was not the only one eating at the Tudor court. In one year, meat consumption totalled 1,240 oxen, 8,200 sheep, 2,330 deer, 760 calves, 1,870 pigs and 53 wild boars and they drank 600,000 gallons of beer."
2. Dr. Berg looks great with stubble.
That Court was the life. The kingdom SURVIVED on that court.
