The steel guitar player passed April 2021 and the lead singer just recently passed. Our generation is slowly leaving. Always liked this tune as a teenager when it first came out!
Rusty Young and Paul Cotton.
Nice to see Timothy B. Schmit back with his humble beginning brother, Paul Cotton.
I saw Poco about 1972 and they blew me away! The best band of the '70s that couldn't seem to find a Top 10 hit. Both Randy Meisner and Timothy B. Schmit went through Poco en route to the Eagles, and Jim Messina co-founded Poco with Richie Furay after Stephen Stills and Neil Young split from Buffalo Springfield for CSN&Y. By the time I saw Poco, Messina had left to team up with Kenny Loggins. Talent in and out
This is very hard for me. I really liked Paul Cotton and Poco. And, now he's gone. And is Rusty. This song is a classic moment in time, a vehicle to a period that was about as loving and tranquil as we are apt to ever see on this planet. Thank you Paul. Thank you Rusty.
RIP to Paul Cotton and Rusty Young .... Two Grand Masters of music :)
One of the best Pedal steel players ever !!! will miss you Rusty Young !!
This is a great version of Heart of the Night, it shows the combined talent of all the performers. POCO belongs in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, May Paul and Rusty Rest in Peace.
Something very special about this song.Always fills me with hope no matter how bad things are.Brings one closer to a greater design.Love the sound of that steel guitar.Nothing else sounds like it
Great band! Love Poco! Love Timothy B. Schmit! Such talent
Great song and great band, Rusty and Paul, two of the best.
Poco showed Eagles and everyone else how to play country rock , so underrated and not Even in Rock N Roll hall of Shame, I mean fame.Must have had bad management and marketing because they should have been way more popular than they were.Just sayin and lm sticking to it!
Is that the one and only Timothy B Schmidt standing in the middle?
I have some of their CDs ❤️
Yep Timothy Schmidt
You mean Timothy B Schmidt & Randy Meisner brought country to the eagles. Since they both played in both bands.
I think their manager ripped them off. Read it somewhere.
Tim, so glad that you did this event...... You are a good man!
What a great song, RIP. RUSTY YOUNG...
.. R.I.P. Rusty Young AND RiP Paul Cotton, who wrote this song

Nice to see Timothy B Schmit joining in on some of the song. Poco was one of my all time favorite bands in the 70's and 80's! RIP Paul and Rusty.🕊️
I had two of their albums I'm 71 now and still loving it they had some of the greatest music and albums I remember it's very young person listen to them they're just really a great group and the greatest ones never get all the recognition that they should
Most underrated band in the history of rock...early band and not the pap thst came ltr.. imho
Great music never dies!!! RIP Paul and Rusty.
I saw poco in 1978 debuting their new song in the heart of the night, and I knew right away that I am witnessing history in the making, and that this song will eventually become a classic,I was right.
We saw POCO twice, back in the day, at the Tralfamadore Cafe in Buffalo, NY. The nicest bunch of guys you ever want to meet- and fantastic musicians. They hung around after the show, signing autographs and having a few beers with us…
Great band. Brings back lots of memories

Damn! Poco was ON that night!
Dustin Blythe Even great without the saxophone and solo.

YES YES YES !!!!!! I HAVE ALL OF THE SONGS YOU LISTED !!!!! WHAT ABOUT THE ARTISTS, “CHICAGO”, LINDA RONSTADT “, CAROLE KING”, “BREAD” and OH SOOO MANY OTHERS !!! TAKE ME BACK TO THE 70’s PLEASE ! LIFE WAS EASIER AND SIMPLE 😉
@@territaylor9096, we can't turn back the clock of time, obviously, but just be thankful we were there to experience some great music firsthand. By now we are just old curmudgeons just like our parents seemed to us, but jeeeze, I like my parent's music much better than 99.9% of what passes for music these days. Just give me that old time rock and roll!
Good to see TBS there singing along.
RIP Paul and Rusty...
One of the best concerts I've ever attended.

Best.
Should be in the Rock n Roll HOF and not even nominated shame on them!
Transported in time!
Timothy looks a bit out of place after all this time, but good to see him back.
Who is the bass guitarist in this video?
Always thought Paul and Rusty were good friends but I read that wasn't true bc of financial dispute
And with a healthier heart
Ok, I’ll ask….why isn’t TBS playing bass?
Is Randy Meisner never had a reunion in Poco ?
Sadly Paul and Rusty have both passed away.
Is Tim too old to play bass anymore ???
Nope, he is still playing! He played bass at the same venue, just not that song!
West Rig Tim didn’t play on this record.
He was already an Eagle.
Music today sucks. The only talent I like is the Mavericks.
Great to see Timothy B on stage with his old crew.
