Whoever that drummer was, he's a perfect gentleman. Very talented, but kept it subtle to let the the star and new girl shine. What a cool dude. You can see the main dude giving him a nod at 10:56. After that main dude relaxed into his playing and used drummer dude to take it up a notch while still keeping it simple enough for new girl, who also did a great job. Love this.

Part of it may be stage fright, a bigger part may be the kit being arranged just a bit off what he's used to, and that can certainly throw one off at first.

I’m not sure what that says about a person’s own character or self worth to criticize or trash talk another artist. Those who do perform know it’s not easy and it takes time to develop those skills. They help others practice by getting them to try their hand on a stage. Any stage. That takes a lot of courage.

he really is such a nice guy - and without saying - becoming a master of pop music. works very very hard and brings in people to play. i did the " open drum circle " for 11 years every week and we brought a lot of therapy for people ... the hilarious thing is trained drummers would come .... once ! they all agreed we were not doing the right thing. they all agreed to that but when the discussion would turn to " the right thng " that is when they would all argue with each other. i looked at it like a " bruce lee " fight with 20 people coming at you. in the end i can play with anyone without rehearsal because i have no pre-practiced responces and can move immediately with the music.

One of the most common problems when I jam with borrowed instruments is the length of the strap, being too long or too short and 99% of the times needs adjusting. Here, the "borrowed" strap and bass were spot on. Hmmmm. This thing is pre scheduled. Nice try though
