  • We hear from people all the time that victims need to forgive their abusers no matter what. First of all, we disagree. Secondly, what does it mean to forgive as the Lord forgives? In an age when abusers are openly welcomed by the church, we really need to better understand what it means to forgive like God forgives.

Comments on a video about not letting predators into churches are quite opposing between those who had/ or have known children hurt in churches...... and the naive who have never had this horrific experience. It's a blessing of the naive and ignorant to say we have no place to judge or that the church doors should be open and it's "playing God" to say no they cannot come in.

Over 200 comments on that Facebook post as of today. I am certain those disagreeing with you have never known a survivor.

That's for sure. Anyone who spent a day with a survivor would understand the pain that abuse brings them and the importance of keeping abusers away.
