  • James MacDonald was recently arrested for felony charges of assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury. MacDonald beat up a 59 year old woman and sent her to the hospital when there was a small fender bender. People have been defending Mr. MadDonald, saying that he was framed, he's innocent until proven guilty, and that we need to focus on stories of grace and not highlight felony crimes.
This episode highlights those remarks so that we can better understand how churches are likely to respond to abuse allegations.

Since he assaulted her this severely after running into her vehicle, he needs a good workup for dementia and a psychological evaluation

I am seriously wondering about his mental condition. It could be something to consider. If this is the case, it is really sad and should be addressed.

Just a quick but important correction! She did not hit his car, HE hit HER car, then violently assaulted her. "...He was trying to parallel park his truck about 10:15 a.m. in the 900 block of Orange Avenue when he struck the woman’s car. The two exited their cars, and he “attacked” her, according to Coronado police. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for serious injuries, police said...." One guy commented under a RUclips video about this something like: “I went to church with James M for years; this just doesn’t seem in character with the man I knew. Furthermore, if James hit her car, why would he became physically violent with this woman? What if she instigated the attack? Unless there are witnesses, then it’s just her word against his.”
    -😮what??
I responded to this guy. I gave him a few reasons why his theory was far fetched but he seemed unwilling to let it go 😳😳. Oh well.

Yeah, he speaks well, knows the Bible, but too bad he doesn't listen to his own preaching. Doesn't the Bible say the devil knows much àbout God. James reminds me of "wolves in sheep's clothing."

Yes. And the Devil quoted Scripture to Jesus after Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days. Being honey-tongued, knowing how to speak to your audience and how to quote Scripture and get money does not qualify one as a good Christian leader. Good at some things, yes, but let's face it . . . you can't use the Devil's tools to do God's work.

FYI. “Irregardless” is not a word. Since, you criticize other’s comments. Also, you bring up a good point of the victim. Shame on the comments. However, Julie has several credibility problems. She had to step away from her own conference. Her skeleton has caused her to be challenged objectively. At the same time, subjectively viewing this case. James is sinful and knowing him this is not surprising.

Irregardless is indeed a word. Look it up in Webster's dictionary.

@@kimalonzo3363 “irregardless” is not considered a real word by most dictionaries, and it should be avoided in formal or academic writing. “Irregardless” is seen as incorrect because it adds the prefix “ir-,” which usually expresses negation, but actually means the same thing as regardless, not the opposite.

@@kimalonzo3363 actually a lot of dictionaries do not identify it as a word. It would be mocked in academic settings and people use it instead of regardless. We can agree to disagree. But the use of the word makes people look uneducated. I brought it up because of of the tenor of the program was the mocking of the vernacular used.

And a footnote. Unfortunately the use of texting and Twitter has greatly harmed people. To communicate in a coherent and cohesive way. Words, grammatical structure and syllogistic thinking have all died. Logical fallacies are the new normal.
