  • Hi There!
The Bird of Paradise houseplant is one of my favorite plants for big impact and easy care. They are so happy as houseplants and don't ask for much like some other plants I have.

Mine is not doing well, I have repotted it with tropical soil from home depot..and put it out side, all leaves are curling and turning yellowish 😭, pls suggest what can I do

Did you transition it to the outside or put it straight out? Houseplants need to be transitioned to tolerate sun. So the first day you put it outside for an hour then the next day two hours. Do this until you've reached 8 hours outside. I don't know if that's the issue but it's what I thought of based on your comment.

Awww you’re so good!!! Listen I just overwatered my bird of paradise. There’s no drainage hole. It’s in a east window winning sun when I was assessing the damage. I realize there are worms in the base of the plant. What do I do? How do I read myself up worms

Ooooo! Ok Repot your plant into fresh soil and a pot with a drainage hole. Try removing as much soil as possible to make sure the worms are gone. Good Luck!

@@TheThriftedPlanter you really are very good for young girl. I was very surprised you should be getting a huge following anyway I know the answer. I guess I should do this outside. Let the plant dry out get rid of the worm. It was huge. It was disgusting.

I am so upset, I had two large beauties that I had in the house for two years but had to take out due to spider mites. Took outside to hose off and left throughout the summer. Asked hubby to bring in before it got cold he did not and they froze. Luckily I have one more inside, how do you keep them from tilting over.

Ugh! It's hard to lose nice plants. Good thing these grow pretty quickly during the growing season. I use garden stakes to hold them upright
