hey man word of advice to the shop, don't EVER let the brake caliper hang from the brake line without support!

I’ve got 35 12.5 20’s on my stick rims with a leaveling kit and no rubbing , and yes you will have problems downs the road when you do this . 110 000 Km s and I just did wheel bearings and cv shafts on the front end of the truck
Wow this is way easier than I thought about to do this on my 2002 Dodge Ram
I just did a level on my 14 SPORT crew 4×4 using the bilstein 5100 on the top setting. Nice upgrade and the truck is level and rides better.If your going to tear into your front suspension you might as well install a good quality shock while your there.just saying. I like your videos they're real informative.
What did that run you? Also, did it come with new upper arms and everything to make almost factory geometry
pill28 only way to keep geometry within specs is to get high angle cv joints or lower the front diff to protect cv angle

Have 2014 ram 1500 4x4 was wondering does leveling the front end do anything to the suspension/drive of the truck. heard stories about 4x4 wobbles ect. what brand of leveling spacers by the way. looks great
you forgot to mention the upper a arm Dodge is notorious for breaking ball joints anytime you put a lift on them even 2 inches is too much for that ball joint it will pop out I know from experience. on my 2018 Ram and don't forget what you did to the front drive shaft you shorten the end play which will lead to a shorter life for the universal joint.
I have a 2500 6.7 2015. I hear people say If you level it you will have problems down the road. Could you do a video where you talk about leveling and if it could cause problems down the road or on how you address the issue . Or if it doesn't have a neg affect at all. Thanks love the videos.

My ram has 12 wides. No lift or level and no rub. I am leveling it this weekend though because I don’t like the uneven stance.

Yes! Any suspension work requires an alignment!

I live in Cleveland Ohio and four wheel parts performance said that these lvl kits that go on top of struts put a lot of tension on the ball joints and they pop out overtime ? And they recommended to install lvl kit on top of spring
We've never experienced that Tony, as for a spacer on top of spring would make the ride stiffer that's about it.
Is it true that if you run a level on the new rams that you have to upgrade the control arms

Does a spacer style leveling kit cause premature ball joint wear
if its one that really pushes the front end down yes. but most leveling kits are very subtle and keep angles well with in spec Dustin!

I was able to get 33x12.5x20 and no rub/trim or leveling kit done .... I will be doing a 3" level soon but it isn't exactly needed , have a 2015 ram 1500

RIP to his ball joints, Ram redesigned the suspension in 2013, if you use a leveling kit you will have to keep replacing the ball joints, should have used the Bilstein 5100's

Only if the control arms get a slight angle they will bust....but if you get a legit lift or level there should be no problem
How fast will they eaten up? I had the Bilsteins and they squeaked like hell- took them off back to being quiet- but just added the spacers to level it again
I bought a brand new ram back in 2014 and that same day put a level kit and now i have 88,995 miles and nothing squeaks or has busted on rough terrain

I measured from the top of the rim to the fender and got a 2.5 inch difference from the back. Did I measure correctly?

I just wanted to ask your opinion on something. I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Rocky Ridge Edition. I bought this truck new and it has a rake. It is 2.5 inches higher in the back than it is the front. My question is can I put a 2.5 inch leveling kit on the lift kit that's already on to make the truck level from front to back.
Do not stack the leveling kits!! I would highly advise upgrading to a lift kit to get the height you are looking for!
What about bilsteins adjustable shocks, would that help get the 2.5 inches that I need to make the truck level.
Nice job guys. I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie Quad Cab with the factory 275/60 - 20's and I want to upgrade to a 22 x 11 American Force polished wheel with 0 offset. On those rims I want to use a Nitto Ridge Grappler in size 35 x 12.50 - 22 or the 325/50 - 22. I realized the 325/50 would probably end up rubbing because it's 13.25 inches wide, so I'm thinking of sticking with the 35 x 12.50. I don't want to trim anything. Can you post a video to see if it's doable? Thanks.

If you don’t replace the A arms to soften the angle of the ball joints, they wear out excessively fast. This is proven. Most reputable shops who install these levels will try to push you that direction, it’s more expensive by a good amount. You can spend as little as 80$ on a spacer kit like this, and some levels cost 3,000$

have a 14 1500 ram wondering when ya change out the tires to let's say the ones that are on in the video cuz that the size I'll most likely run. will it throw a code for tire pressure on the dash and leave the light on? and will it throw off the speedometer? pretty new to all this

why do they call it leveling kit instead if "strut spacer"

Only question i have is the center hub bolt. Is it necessary to remove or loosen that? Getting ready to install a 2in leveling kit on my 2016 4×4 ram and this is the only video I have seen do that. Also, alignment and headlight adjustments afterwords necessary or no?

That's what I'd do, just bang away with a sledge hammer on the tie rod threads, the control arms, etc. God forbid we use a deadblow or something between the sledge and component.

Do a 3" lift is the best answer.

Bilstien has some very good quality shocks! Wouldnt be surprised if you like them more than stock!

Pretty sure he ment a 2 inch, but there's a lot of back and forth online about the changing of the geometry. I had the same question. If I get a leveling kit do I also need to get a new upper arm and if so would it be better to get a kit that has one included or buy a leveling kit and arm seperate? Or is it not even necessary.
I have a 2.5 level kit on my 14 ram 1500. I would like to run 35s ik they will fit but not sure if they will rub and would I have to change my gearing or anything like that? If so I will just run 33s for the safe side.

This is spacers.. They have a kit with bump stops and other brakets? I know spacers alone is garbage, would the kit they have for 99$ be any better. Can't find reviews on it. Just these damn spacers
