  • This is the only recording of all three songs done at the New York reunion. The band conducted by Paul Shaffer. Probably the only time outside of the studio that Phil Spector's Wall Of Sound was recreated. I think Shaffer, who has always been a huge Spector fan, deserves a lot of credit for pulling this off. I can't image what the budget was! Note how many musicians it took!

I feel with Ronnie, that she had so much more to give that we all did not get to hear and see. Due to her painful domestic situation with past ex hubby, she was held back. So many wonderful and innocent memories of my youth listening to this touching and great music . I thank God I lived at that time to have this music. I would not trade places with the youth of today for a second. They will never comprehend the joy , talent , greatness and innocence of the music of my youth nor will they have it in their older age. . God bless the Ronettes and may their music live on forever. Joy to see these videos of her singing, although they bring melancholy to my mood, but also a reminder of a Happy time and she will be remembered forever. With this you tube, I have over the years looked up the girl groups and always see Ronnie in my searches ,so very glad she was there. I live and lived 10 miles from her Washington Heights roots, just across the George Washington bridge from me in NJ. I never knew then. But being in the NY city area she had a prominent presents on our airways and I heard her singing often. THANK YOU RONNIE FOR THE JOY YOU BROUGHT IN MY LIFE.

She was the greatest! Met her in the early '60s 'n spoke with her, and what a beautiful person she was. Over 40 years later, met her again, she asked me what she'd written to me on the autograph all those years before, and when I told her she wrote the same ting, then, putting more lipstick on her lips, she kissed the autograph which I treasure to this day. Not only was she a great singer but she was lso a lovely human being. I miss her and her music so much. May Ronnie always rock 'n roll in heaven. Bless her!

I cannot understand it either Mike! There is “always one” who criticizes or doesn’t like something/someone... always 🤣Let them criticize all they want, for the rest of us know the “truth!”Ha! 😂Ronnie is such an incredible singer, just as she “was way back then & is now!” Her singing & personality are just extraordinary!!! Mike, how blessed you were to meet her & have your photo taken with her!!! Wow! She asked you, too which makes it even more special. I had a similar thing happen to my husband & I a few yrs ago, when we attended a New Year’s concert featuring Peter Wolf & The G. Geils Band. They were putting on a New Year’s Eve Concert 🎵 at the The Mohegan Sun Casino in Ct. OMGOSH!!! What a concert Peter Wolf put on, too! The energy he has is just amazing. We have run into him several times... doing record shows in Boston, back in their heyday & saw them in concert. He was always so nice & approachable, each time he came to our table ( record collecting was my husband’s hobby, just like it was his but he was so friendly, just like Ronnie! My husband & I were walking through the little mall w/ all the shops at Mohegan ☀️ Sun( they have the best concerts & best place to go period!) & Peter Wolf walked into a store we were in with his girlfriend. The girls at the register whispered “There is Peter Wolf!” They walked out & little a while later, we were in the store that sells records, for we had spent the night at their beautiful hotel. I said hello to both Peter Wolf & his girlfriend, telling him what a fantastic concert he had put on! He thanked me & asked me if I would like my photo taken with him. I said absolutely for I didn’t want to bother him with that before but then when “he asked me,” it made my day! He asked my husband as well both he & his girlfriend were just so down to earth & friendly! What a great story you have meeting Ronnie ( biggest thrill ever) & thank-you for sharing your wonderful story meeting her, on many occasions too, with us all! She really seems to be exactly how you described her too ,Mike. What wonderful memories you must have of seeing her on numerous occasions, too! Thanks again!♥️

She has such an Inspirational voice, so packed with emotion which she unleashes every time she performs.. Veronica Spector is rightfully a legendary singer. So sad to hear of her recent passing. She will continue to attract followers through her recordings which will live far into the future, her legacy to the audiences who so appreciated her talent, and to those who newly discover her, through these recordings and performances. Thank you, for bringing them to us. The sound on this one is very muted, difficult to hear, but still emotes the love and joy she radiated in life.

Ronnie will always be terrific. The exact way this 2007 RHOF video captured her, her strong voice and now her golden wings. Rest in Eternal Peace. Bless this break through girl group. They left us many magical musical gifts and did their musical best. 1964 remembered well. And it was… great.

Paul Shaffer did a similar Wall of Sound recreation when the Righteous Brothers were inducted a few years earlier. This appears to, largely be the same band as the one put together for the Righteous Brothers. They sounded good then too. Every year on Letterman, Darlene Love would sing 'Christmas, Baby Please Come Home' on the last broadcast day before Christmas on the Letterman Show. It was, for the most part, the same band that did that show as well. That they could create something close to Phil Spector's Wall of Sound on a live soundstage is astonishing, in a good way! Spector spliced it together after recording hundreds of parts in his studio.

Be My Baby is a masterpiece !!!! Ronnie and her sister and cousin were a special trio !!! Brings tears to my eye's. Too many good and sad memories for me in my teens. Plus, my part time music career started about 1962.

This was such an incredible treat to see and hear. I've always wondered how wonderful it would be to see the Wrecking Crew do a live performance. Paul Shaffer, thank you for putting this together. It takes my breath away to hear what this group of top level musicians are capable of. Add the Ronettes to that? Wow.
