The TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module is a quick and easy way to add more power to your Tundra. We achieve this power by integrating the Power Module into the factory wiring harness and adjusting certain parameters to increase boost pressure and make significant power/torque gains across the entire power band. Installation only takes about 15 minutes and does not require any special tools.

    We used 3,000 RPM as our baseline numbers as this is where we're able to hit wide open throttle without the vehicle downshifting on the dyno and this is where the vehicle lives. The Toyota Tundra produced a baseline horsepower of 176 and 309 torque. With the TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module, the Toyota Tundra produced 219 HP and a staggering 389 TQ at the wheels. This is a 43 HP and 80 TQ gain at the rear-wheels.
    The TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module also produced a horsepower output of 352 HP @ 5100 RPM at the rear-wheels. This is a massive 45 RWHP gain by simply plugging in the TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module.
    With the engine on or with the key on, you can go through and [-/+] select which calibration you want to run at any point in time. You can use the Tuning: Pro App which also controls and resets all calibrations based on what you input in the application.
    The TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module comes preloaded with up to 7 different maps for your Toyota Tundra. These maps are going to range anywhere from Race mode to Sport mode to Eco mode.

    Seems like a badass product, Stillen. Kudos.
    I know you don’t design products for one-offs, but I’d love to see a tune for 93 octane, a CAI as badass as the one y’all make for v8 tundras and some downpipes. Take my money.

    Will it void my factory warranty?

      That is a great question! If you remove the device, it CANNOT be detected by the dealership. It leaves no trace on the ECU and leaves it unmodified. We take the data in from the sensors, modify it in our tuning module, then send the modified data back to the ECU. Because of this, the cars computer has no idea the tuner was ever installed. We have done tests with dealerships directly to confirm they were not able to detect the tuner after removal.

    Any news on when a full ecu unlock is coming?? Really looking to get a used TRX or brand new tundra within the next two months but I would 100% go with the tundra knowing I can add some after market turbos and tune past 550whp

    Long term reliability issues with engine or trans after these modifications?

      As long as you keep up with maintenance and use good quality fuel, you should have no issues at all. The factory ECU still has it's engine protection programs in place, if it ever sees anything outside of the tolerable range, it can still step in and protect the motor. As the product does not leave any trace of it being installed, as long as you remove it before a trip to the dealer, your warranty will stay intact.

    if removed can the dealer run scans on the ECU and see this device was installed? Im sure this is the biggest question people have that is preventing them from pulling the trigger (Me included). I need to know if this is a better mod to use after my warranty is done

    Hello, huge fan of stillen as I currently have a z32 and an r32. My question is, does it require aftermarket intake and cat back exhaust?

      No, it can be ran on a completely stock truck, but we also have custom calibrations if you do want to change to aftermarket parts after installation.

      Sadly no, it does not remove the speed limiter. I am pretty sure, if not positive, no one has cracked these ECUs yet, so there is no way to remove the speed limiter at this point in time to the best of my knowledge. Keep in mind, if you do remove it, you do void your factory warranty.

    I want to order this as i already have the stillen exhausted system. But i might get some catless downpipes. Will this clear the code from me removing my cats? Or do i need custom tuning for that.

      Our tuning device does not enter the DME/ECU/computer, so regretfully it will not clear engine lights for emissions. It will work on catless downpipes, but the code and engine light will remain.

    Will it work with the Tundra Hybrid Capstone? I didn't hear anything about hybrids. Also, OEM I have sport, normal, or eco transmission settings. Would I just leave it in "normal" and then pick tune 1-7 on the Stillen app? In other words, after I connect your product what setting should I put the OEM transmission power dial to?

      Hello- Yes, the TruControl Power module does work on the hybrid models. The TruControl works with all of the trucks "modes." These modes will not interfere with the TruControl. It really boils down to your personal preference when driving the vehicle. Some customers want a firmer shift, some want a "normal" driving style and only to have the added power when they stand on the gas. Others want all the power, all the time and more aggressive shift pattern.

    I’m interested but I have my concerns. Not only do I tow my cars to the drag strip but I also have raced my tundra. I bought the AFE Bluetooth unit when it came out and it didn’t make a difference. Both with and without were 14.90s at bandimere speedway and even on the runs that were with had a 1000’ less DA than without. My question is are your tests in sport mode or in normal. My truck is a trd limited that is not a hybrid?

      We do our tests in all modes, including eco, to make sure the truck performs as it should without limiting the drivability or function of the features. We do also a 14 day satisfaction guarantee. This means you can give it a test in your own truck, if you arent satisfied with the results, simply send it back for a refund! We let the product do its own talking. I promise you will feel a difference from the first pull after install. The butt dyno is noticeable!

    So it doesn’t reflash your stock ecu and allows you to go back completely stock if you bring it in for a warranty claim? If so, that’s nice.

      That's correct. If you need to take your vehicle to the dealer, all you have to do is remove the TruControl module and connect the bypass module that comes included when you purchase a TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module. Your vehicle will go back to stock.

    Would there be any issues with the piggy back device if I’m already running the shiftpower throttle response controller on my 22 tundra ?

      Should be no issues at all when they are ran together. The shiftpower will only be plugged into the throttle itself. Our device plugs into the engine bay and tunes the motor to increase horsepower, not just the throttle response.

      Thank you for the quick response! Waiting for more updates on your cold intake you advised a couple weeks ago. How loud is your exhaust system if you live in a cold whether state? Don’t want the neighbors to be upset in the morning

      We should have another video with more information in the coming weeks on the intakes. We are planning on releasing them here in Q1 of 2024.
      As far as the exhaust, the cold start is MUCH better than stock, but not obnoxious to the point it will wake up the neighbors. We also wanted to make sure it wasnt annoying or droning during towing as well, so we tested it extensively with our race trailer. I do not like a loud exhaust that requires yelling to have a conversation or turning your music up so it isnt so obnoxious. It is safe to say, neither of those apply to this system.

    Does this require 91? Or is 87 octane ok?

      We always recommend running 91 or higher octane fuel. Anytime you add more boost it is a good idea to use a performance fuel. If you do require 87 octane we recommend staying on stage 5 or lower. For Stage 6 or 7 we would only recommend 91 octane or higher.
