Here’s a little update as well. If you buy the 14 inch screen with the vents, you can skip all of that Drumline and arts and craft time that I had to do inside the shop. My screen did not come, so I had to retrofit it to the vents that I had which was more work. Like I said if you’re on eBay comes with vans then obviously there’s no cutting Dremeling or anything.
@@TIGWeldingCreations Did you have any update issues with the large radio? Also, have you upgraded the ac system? (Such dual seat heat and cooling). Have you upgraded to the electronic rearview mirror? (If so, how is working?)
Hello all!!! I have done this upgrade a few months ago. Make sure the screen you buy is non JBL. Also, you will not be able to install your profile on the screen. Meaning no remote connect or anything. You have to take it to Toyota to do so. Also. My SR5 had the fully loaded AC controls and heated seats, so I swapped the temp control unit thingy with a limited one I found on eBay. Came with the volume control knob and everything.
@@josephc7151 not an issue with the screen specifically, but it’s a different software system in the truck for the non JBL speakers. If your truck came stock with the 8” screen, it does not have the JBL speakers or software. So if you install a head unit with the JBL software and hardware installed it won’t entirely work with the truck. The screen will work fine. Your volume controls will not work at all though.
@@Islandmanfishing the temp control unit will definitely help. Get one with the volume knob. And you can actually just pop out the buttons and put in the blank ones from the oem climate control. But yes you will be able to control the volume with steering wheel buttons. As long as you get the Non JBL screen.
Hey guys does anyone know how to make the volume button work? I already have the volume module but behind my a/c control I don't have any cables that don't work.
So I want to do an OEM integration upgrade to my audio . I have the 8in . Is there an optical or tos link on the back of either receiver to get a flat signal out ? I have the 2024
Friend, I accidentally bought the 14” screen with the JBL system, I installed it, but now I can't control the volume from the steering wheel, this is a big problem for me now, what do you recommend, that I buy this one again and get the one that doesn't come with JBL or is there a way to make the volume work? Thanks, I hope you can answer.
I just did the swap of the screen just waiting for the vents bezel and the volume knob but I noticed that the wiring is not at the dummy plug. any suggestions?

Hi man thanks for the video, I want to do this on my Tundra, but I have a doubt if the new screen does not come locked/linked to another VIN number, I know that in some car brands this becomes a problem. Can you help me with that?
Hi I have some questions: Did the volume buttons from the steering wheel worked with the 14inch screen? Everything else works like the toyota app? Short story: I have a 24 Tacoma and have the 8inch display and was able to get my hands on a used 14inch display. I also don’t have the volume knob/module but I noticed behind the AC controls a blank connector without the harness, by any chance do you know the part # for your harness behind your AC control? Maybe it’s the same one for the Tacoma? Looks similar to the plug you show on your video. Any input is appreciated.
