I recently started going tank rakan with aftershock when my team needs frontline I feel like it’s a pretty solid build but it can be a bit pricey for a support
Swifties are 900 gold total CD Boots 950 so they aren't the cheapest boots, but still quite cheap Shurelyas' active doesn't grant urself movespeed anymore
Shurelya’s active does grant yourself move speed according to the tooltip in game, I can go try it but I’m pretty certain it does. (Active UNIQUE - INSPIRE: Grants you and nearby allies 60% bonus movement speed that decays over 4 seconds) Totally right about the boots though, I fixed the script to say 950 when it got changed this patch but just forgot to take out the part about them being cheapest! My bad.
Okay this guide was perfect, I've been pulling off game winning teamfights and winning hard lane matchups practicing practicing the combos, and it's allowed me to apply great pressure across the map as I would dance in and out of danger, as the enemy would fear when I would really commit to a fight, thank you for the informative guide!

At such an early stage, I would suggest buying the champions you feel you have the most fun with, there's plenty of time for meta later on, and it will help keep your motivation at a max! Leona is more versatile, but Rakan is more fun (in my opinion)!
Ardent Censor? Has it just been nerfed to the ground. I was playing with Varus mid Kalista bot and after game they told me I should have considered ardent for extra damage for them.
Yeah, I have a lot going on irl at the moment, and just wasn't able to keep up the work required for guides, but I'm back and committed again so the weekly schedule will resume!
14:45 stacking cc wastes some valuable time. where your enemy can't do anything. for example, using karma root and Morgana root at the same time would be wasting a couple seconds of root.
What I'm talking about with this combo is using it to get to backlines and CC people you otherwise couldn't. It's not always about maxing CC on their frontline tanks as it is about accessing their ADC before they can escape or you can be counter CC'd

@@PixelPocket u are right about shurelyas', I think RIOT changed it in PBE, but this change got reverted or smth.

Rakan is so ridiculous: 86% win rate in 50+ games this season. Full tank with Locket = Easy Win.

I wouldn’t say he is op. He really relays on a teammate for half of his passive and he is not full power ever with out xayah
They are nerfing guardian! would recommend aery?, aftershock is good still right?
I don’t like guardian, because doesn’t proc with passive up

What do you think about Knights Vow?
Rakan is already pretty squishy for his playstyle, so I dislike the new Knight's Vow on him. I feel it's only worth it on true tanks.

Tenacity and Presence of Mind are also really good secondaries for high cc comps
Replace presence of mind with triumph and ur good
I agree with guardian but for secondary runes I'd say go for triumph. The number of times it's saved my life from an ignite is insane
Dude i agree with u in full. I am a huge rakan main and the extra tankyness helps a lot
triumph shouldnt be able to be a secondary rune it's so broken
