Lulu's R is not affected by Grievous Wounds. Grievous Wounds does not affect "Bonus Health", which is the buff type of Lulu's R. this is important information, since Grievous Wounds Items are currently very strong
I'm aware of Lulu's E potential damage, its just that in most cases the range is too short that I usually just slap it on a creep then hit q towards it as an extension.
I’m 2 weeks into playing league and this video has helped me so much. I love playing support and lulu has been my favorite so far!! This video is really helping me fully understand the role of support and how I can improve w lulu.
This is the greatest guide i have never found about Lulu, i want to main she and this guide helped me a lot, thank you. You deserve more subscribers and views
You've helped me a lot with sorting out my runes! I've been out of LoL for a while now and runes still kinda overwhelm me. So thank you so much for breaking everything down!!
With the nerfs to moonstone, would you recommend shurelya’s instead? I’m guessing it would be good with adc’s like twitch and vayne for the added ms, but I often play with adcs like ashe, jhin, and draven so I’m not sure which mythic is better for them.
I still prefer moonstone but I have seen Shurelya's used successfully by others. Frankly even when playing in Diamond I don't feel coordinated enough to use Shurelya's effectively on Lulu, and only like it with someone I can force an engage on (like Rakan). Moonstone has a constant effectiveness that is very very good for soloqueue, where personal consistency matters. Could be different if you duo/clash.
Hey, I’m a bit late but what do you think about getting free boots instead of biscuits when going for the guardian rune page. Lulu isn’t a roaming champion and I feel like you don’t necessary need them early on. So you can rush moonstone staff without worrying about buying them (just the upgrade) and you gain 300 free golds + 10 free movement speed. Which is (in my opinion) much more valuable than the cookies. Thank you in advance if you have some time to answer. And nice video.
As Lulu main, I can add that skill order are differs. Lulu's auto is quite short compared to her Q and that's what she would probably do more, cause of Spellthief. There are a lot play styles and Lulu should decide which one she gonna pull in this situation. If you max E first, that means your playstyle are very defensive, its all about hiding in the back and shielding your adc and give slow if needed. But there are also aggresive playstyle which can be used to make preasure. Pix on enemy and Lance on enemy, few auto's and some from ADC can be very harmful. So you should keep this in mind. How to decide what to choose? Heal. If you are against strong sustain, like Nami, Seraphine, Soraka, you should go full defence, cause enemy ADC gonna go full trade to you, knowing, that he will be healed, and your harass will be very uneffective, so you should go full defence to minimize the damage. But if enemy support something like Morgana, Leona, Thresh, you can go trade and make enemy ADC life more complicated. The only thing, if you can't play aggresive, never try. If you can't play safe, going full trade, went too far and die, that won't help. Enemy ADC came to close to farm - E, Q, 1-2 auto's. Don't chase. If you chase, your ADC can do the same and get caught. Harass, go back, harass go back. But if they dont have much CC, you can press a bit for tower, just to force them to use summoners. Always keep in mind the worst case scenario "what should go wrong?". It's all in reflexes. And second, your Ultimate is not only safe option, it's also an engage. if you got some hard initiator, like Shyvana, Vi, Nocturne, who can jump straight in hell - Ult him. That will give him and your team huge advantage. Knock up and Slow will help to hold enemies a while in one spot and do damage, while they are disabled. Don't keep it for the breakpoint. Do it or lose it. But if you don't have such initiators, save it as a counter measure. Everything else is a question of taste. Some practice, some experiments. And evetually, your games will start to taste purple.
"If you max E first, that means your playstyle are very defensive, its all about hiding in the back and shielding your adc" I completely disagree, as mentioned in the guides, aggressive use of Lulu's E is a staple of trading with her and provides significant burst for engages, and also an unblockable instant hit for picking off straglers with Flash + E if needed. It's also useful to shield yourself when using Autos so that you can safely make good trades. You do not need Lulu's Q for this, the E provides it both. If you are having trouble trading in lane as Lulu I suggest getting to grips with using her E as more than a safety/defensive anti-engage and more as a shield/damage trading tool. Lulu's ult is not an engage, it provides no mobility and should only be used post-engage. The knockup is massive, ulting someone before they have engaged is a total waste of this CC. If you ult them after they have engaged in order to get that knock up, well then it isn't engage it's just the normal use of your ult.
@@PixelPocket Q got tricky way of dealing damage, even in your video there were way too many times, where maxed out Q would safe a kill. But yeah, its all about preferred playstyle, both opinions deserve to exist. As for ultimate, I said that if your engager start a fight, it would be better to provide him with all benefits. Knock up and slow from ult will help him to deal damage and chase enemies who will try to retreat and bonus health will give him enough sustain to stand, while your team follow him, where you could further shield him, poly enemies, or give him speed, slowing with Q. Lulu is all about adaptation. You can't just repeat same pattern game after game. Every game is unique and she got tons of synergy and follow ups. First you remembering how and what is she doing, and after you just see every possibility and decide how to act. Ult now, or save it. Going all out or step back and cover. Follow your adc or cover jungler. I'm not judging your guide, you did great work and it's working. I'm just adding few ideas from a fellow Lulu player who got another point of view :)
I'm actually producing a RUclips short on this as we speak! But a sneak peek is that you can target abilities on the champion image above the minimap. At that timestamp you will see me hover over Jhin's picture on the bottom right, just above the minimap. I press E and it shields him instantly. It can never miss and I use it in clutch situations sometimes!
Is it just me, or does Winter Wonderland Lulu look so similar to Nunu and Willump. Made me think my favorite champ was viable in my favorite position for a second lol

Should I take Chem putrifier now. It got buffed and now it gives 20 ability haste and now it applies grevious wounds booster to those who u shield. Is it better to take now and what should I replace since like grevious wounds feels like it’s needed all the time
depends on the situation. if you're against champions who like lifesteal or goredrinker, yes. i like to go moonstone > boots > oblivion orb > ardent/staff > finish chemtech. this is only if i'm playing against someone like a samira or yasuo though.
I feel like with the high amount of life steal everyone has now a days I have to go putrifier. Also wait isn’t oblivion orb kinda useless on lulu. Most of my usage comes from helping allies. I know my glitter lance can probably do a bit but is it worth to get the orb just for thay
@@tejas124 i mean you have to get orb to buy chemtech anyway, and lulu does have some good poke potential and benefits from being aggro early on. q, e, and auto attack with passive will all proc oblivion orb
I always quick cast every ability on every champion, it gives better reaction time. I have self cast E and W bound to mouse buttons but not R as I don’t find it necessary.
@@PixelPocket I absolutely love senna but idk she feels so weak right now. How high is her winrate? About 47% at league of graphs? I mean, is she still good?
@@sourcandy5512 Yeah she definitely needs a buff. I still like her a lot because I've played a huge amount of her, so I still have a positive winrate on her, but I definitely want to see her buffed because her overall winrate is low. Basically the nerfs to certain items like Eclipse and Duskblade (which is categorically useless on her now) have sent her into the very low winrate zone, but the nerfs were actually aimed at problematic champs like Jhin who had a giant winrate.
@@PixelPocket I remember the times when the only goal was to achieve those 100 souls and the game was won and then they nerfed her passive. What is the point of creating half adc and half support and trying to prevent people from playing her as an adc? I love her design and her kit and her skins. I would like to climb with her instead of other poke-carry supports as zyra, lux and so on but sometimes it feels like if you're not fed, you're useless.
What do you guys wanna see next on League 101?
I know Soraka is coming soon so how about Lux since she's really good in the meta at the moment, or maybe some thoughts on Rell?
@@Dzyntara I'm still a little conflicted on Rell and need a bit more playtime to get a good guide out. Lux could definitely work!
