still no idea how to summon it..... great tutorial.

I was trying to summon the herald and it wasn't summoning. And there has been some instances where it summons by itself...

These are outdated now that the map got updated, but still tend to be nice spots to ward regardless

Just leaving my thoughts here, as Sona Main since Season 6 with over 1.3 Million Points now. My Perspective is from Gold/Platin. Runes: Summon Aery - What he said Manaflow Band - What he said + Makes Tear even more valuable The Movementspeed Rune - transcendance is OK, but to me the AH get's kind of useless fast and the 20% CD restore is useless on a Champ with so low CD in my eyes. MS is what keeps you alive. Gathering Storm - What he said Presence of Mind - I can't live without this rune. I had so many moments, where I where OOM got 2 Assists and where ready to go. I hate if I fail to have this rune Here you can do what you want, I do the 2nd one in the last row, but this is just personal preference. Items: Don't underastimate SHurlyas. YOu Can apply the MS with W,E and Q Aura and have a long Range MS Buff with W. This is insanely powerfull. And I didn't even touched the active. I liked Moonstone, but SHurelyas feels so much better.

What button is it or is it a trinket item??

The first one sucks because it gives you almost no vision (the wall's edge blocks the ward)

Not a must at all. Not even challenger players can put the ward from river into that brush 50% of the time. It’s not a must to learn any of these. It is a must though to know when to engage and where to engage. You can make high diamond on decision making alone. There is so many boosted diamond players who follow a guide all the way. They can’t adapt. So if you can adapt your play style and your builds you immediately got a bigger chance than everyone else. Basically, think for yourself.

I know this guide is 1 season old at the time of writing, but I just wanted to highlight the extremely underrated starting item combo that is Long Sword + 3 pots. Doublelift is the one who enlightened me on the pros of taking it compared to Doran's Blade, which is that buying Long Sword first IMMEDIATELY puts you 350 gold ahead of your laner that started Doran's. In the early game especially, that's a lot (at least a few waves), and can even make the difference between getting your first full item before your laner's. While the 2 extra AD on Long Sword is a bit debatable on whether or not it makes a difference, more importantly, the 3 pots allows you to sustain much longer into heavy poke lanes or short trade lanes, since many mistakes can just be negated with pots. It's just simply (mathematically) way more effective than the omnivamp + 1 pot that Doran's start provides. As far as how to decide whether to take Doran's or Long Sword (which Doublelift also talked about, but I adapted Tear into this thinking as well), typically Doran's is better in lanes where all-ins will be the deciding factor (e.g. Ezreal-Blitz vs. Jhin-Leona), because the main strength of Doran's is the 80 health it provides. Long Sword is good into lanes that you'll be poked down in but have better dueling/all-in potential (e.g. Ezreal-Blitz/Ezreal-Lux into Jinx-Xerath). Finally, Tear is good into lanes where you just want to focus on scaling and don't want to fight too much/can't all-in well (e.g. Ezreal-Soraka/Ezreal-Yuumi into Lucian-Braum). Tear start is pretty similar to a Long Sword start in that it puts you 400 gold ahead into your starting build, minus the combat stats. I've only recently been putting this mindset into practice, but I've been seeing a lot more success in what I see as my general weakness, which is my early game. The more times you win early game, the better chances you have at carrying.
