I'm used to have it on the left click, because it feels way more natural to me. Using attack move really made me get better at the game, because to use it effectively I needed to abandon some bad habits, like normal casts on spells and maxing spells by clicking on the arrow. Anyway I didn't know you could disable minimap movements, I was used to use shift+left click to see the minimap without moving, but that's something way more comfortable, so thank you!
There is a way by messing with the config files to change the button with which you move the minimap to the middle mouse button if you like which ive done for myself, because shift is very uncomfortable to use.
My first 2 years of league I was using “attack move click” on “a”. When I switched to regular attack move I immediately became much more accurate with my clicks and the range indicator is really nice for champs with varying attack range like jinx and tristana
Just A is the best option if you know ranges by heart. If you're learning a new ADC (especially with a different range than ones you're used to) A + Left click is where its at.
A is so uncomfortable tho, at least for me, especially since you need to move one of your fingers down from your QWER set. It seems harder to get used to than just left click.
@@mooxyx Yeah it's not for everyone. I prefer it to A + left click or a different keybind. Besides unless you're playing something like Ezreal you'll mostly just auto attack, and I prefer using less APM since I have old man hands, but just using A allows me to be a lot more efficient in kiting and chasing.
@@shaneoblack1672 Oh, thats probably why its difficult for me. I don't usually play adc but I wanted to learn how to attack move because I was sick of misclicking and losing trades because of 1 auto being delayed as Gwen, but it would probably be harder for me since I have to use my spells often. But i see how useful it would be for adcs
@@mooxyx You can use it on melee champions as well, but then you have to learn how to move your hand up and down between qwer and asdf, same goes for mages when you have to weave in autos to maximize your damage. it's easy for me because I used to play guitar hero and other games where you have to move your hand to different parts of the keyboard / controller. I can imagine it being hard for someone whos not used to it.
I like it anyway just because it's a great way to hammer it home what your range is, especially if you play champs with differing ranges, like I play MF, Ashe, Vayne, all rather different, it's nice for me to keep that circle up just as a reminded every time.
You can hold C to show your attack range without being forced to use A + left clicks to see range. That's what I do. I use Level 3 part and hold C when I need to see my range at times.
@έρεβος your c is the attack move button, c though is the default button for showing attack range. there's an option under movement that says "show attack range" and you have to bind a key for that.
0:51 Incorrect. Kiting is the act of attacking while keeping distance from your opponent so they can't retaliate. What you described is attack canceling, or "orbwalking."
This is exactly what I needed to learn thank you very much 🙏🙏🙌 Now I need to learn my wave management and final hitting minions I will definitely be using this video to both learn and implement in my games.
I guess I'm more of a level 4 or 5 then ;D I use a combination of the standard A left click as my default and shift + LMB for speedy clicks. I have secondary bind setups with shift for RMB, SPACE and QWER so when I hold shift the only thing that changes is that my LMB becomes "attack move click", and spells become self cast.
i suggest using spacebar for the attack move click, because clicking a is using the same finger as using q but if you use spacebar you'll use a different finger so it'll be faster
The solution to the problem people are finding is not using your mouse to have to make very big moves with your hand and instead use keyboard, so left click is just going back to the problem
The problem with move + attack click is that you will attack the nearest one while if you use A with cursor you hit the enemy near to the cursor, note that sometimes it will be a miniom if you are too close
There's one problem I've only recently found out crippling my kiting: "attack move on cursor" doesn't work with "target champions only", so when you use both, you'll still attack minions and towers sometimes, if you click a couple pixels too far from enemy champion. I built a habit of using "champions only" + right click when fighting in lane, but "attack move click" otherwise
This is a "bug" for years, when you have target champion only you can only right click, otherwise with attack moving it will target other things too. But it still can't target things like e.g. the honeyfruit thingy
Same here. It shows up most often for me when Playing Caitlyn because I'm always looking to harass enemies under tower while pushing crashes for plates, or catching them on Traps hidden behind the Tower.
I am ADC Main and use both of these commands all the time, even if I have to auto enemy champion once while they are standing in minion wave, but I never faced this problem. I do use Bind Auto Attacks to Left Click though, not A left click or just A or Shift Right Click. Maybe that makes the difference.
@@aice336 it could be a bug. Actually I did notice it once. I was clicking on enemy champion and my champ was hitting minions while Target Champion's Only. But it only happened once with me so it's not consistent behaviour. League of Bugs?
Im using the 3rd technique "attack move click" with the "alt+ right mouse button" it feels sooo smooth for me, i advice it to u guys, alt is so easy to use with the thumb
Only doesn't work on Kalista, she must have the auto attack option in the gameplay settings locked in. Then she can kite without manually clicking* on the enemy champ all the time (autoattack is bugged on her)
I use attack move on left click and it's amazing But in order to prevent your champ from moving when you left click, you need to hold shift before left clicking... It takes a while to get used to but I've gotten so much better at the game by never missing autos and kiting like a goat
@@john_pap1831 Yeah unfortunately you have to hold shift when you ping too :/ What helped for me is assigning the ping wheel to alt. For some reason alt works fine without holding shift and it wasn't too bad to get used to There's a lot of stupid caveats to attk move on left click but I can't stress enough how much of an advantage I feel like it gives me
I have "Attack Move Click" on "R", then my Ult is bound to "T". This makes it so I don't have to move my fingers for the ability I use most, and only move my fingers for my abilities I use the least.
this is such a fundamental part of the game that i never even started to grasp as a kid when it first came out. now, as an adult getting back into it, this is the first thing that i start to wonder about.
i personally do not recommend disabling auto attack, especially if u play bot or top lane because u need it to check for warded bushes. If your character attacks the minion wave while u are in a bush, it means the bush is warded.
No. Just use the player attack movement (SHIFT + MB2) constantly when you are going to check so if there is some1 in a bush you will insta hit him. Also when someone is invisible and trying to catch you
if the enemy minion attacks u while u are in a bush, it means the enemy minions has vision, which means its warded. what u say is not tru, the autoattack has nothing to do here. U will autoatack always becasue u have vision of the minions when u are on the bush so its not an indicator of anything. the first thing i said is
I know this has nothing to do with Adcs @Skill Capped , but if you leave the option Auto Attack On , you can see if a bush is warded or not if you stand in it... i didnt know this before my support im coaching in a Team told me so. Did you know this?
Also if you have it on you can use the S key so that your champion stands still where you want him to and doesn't autoatack in case you're freezing or somthng
9:05 I don't understand this point. I've bound attack-move on my thumb button and I find no issues with it whatsoever. Pressing the thumb button doesn't affect my mouse movement at all. I can still use A+left click if I want to be even more accurate, but the thumb button is very efficient and accurate enough for high-speed encounters. Am I the only one?
ur mouse does move, its impossible for it not to, but its such a little movement that u will never notice it... at high level play it matters more as every tiny advantage/disadvantage matters
Here is an interesting key bind setting (imo) i've been using TAB - Shows attack range and enable atack move G - Shows Match Menu Q, W and E - Main Habilities R/Space Bar - Ultimate Hability TAB + Left Click - Atack Move Right Click - Standard function (move/attack) Side Mouse Button 3 - Camera lock on/off (could also be Z, X, C, V but never tried) Side Mouse Button 4 - Champion Target Only (Toggle mode option) With this setting i don't need to move my fingers/hand much like i would from A to Q for exemple. This makes casting Q habilities more agile.
@@tyrachnydia696 if i'm not wrong (it's been a while since i made this config) you can enable atack-move in your settings, but what i ment was that when i hold TAB the auto attack range shows up and if i click with the left mouse button (MB1) while i hold TAB my champion will atack if the target is within the range or will move to the target and then attack whenever my range circle reaches the target. To keep it short, what i ment wasn't "enable/disable" but "activate the attack-move circle range" while i hold TAB, and then only if i left click the command is completed. The attack-move command itself already shows the range while you hold the binded key (in my case TAB), the rest is completed when you click as i said before. You need to check you settings to enable the attack-move and bind it to any key you prefer, i don't remember where exactly though... but you can easly find how to config it here in youtube
@@tyrachnydia696 the intresting part of this config though is the "easy key accuracy" doe to the space bar size for the ult while i hardly need to move my hand to switch the casting between main habilities and ult and also for kitting with autos. There's a slight difference i added currently: i also binded the camera lock on/off to the "S" key.
Right now im used to use attack move for everything, but im trying to get used to also using attack move click when i want to kite with very high attack speed (i play adc and many with big attack speed steroids) to be more efficient. I think learning to do this is my best bet
Is there a way to combine attach move and target champion only ? I am personally the third setup you presented but often find myself auto attacking minions with attack move instead of champions :(
I know, right? Target champions only is such a great feature, but it doesn't seem to work with attack move click. So you either give up the accuracy, or or risk hitting something else than your target. What I ended up doing is never using tco when diving, I just amc near the target, but out of the turret hitbox.
Using what's comfortable is important. I personally use a+left click for ranged champions to attack move, but only use right click, or shift+right click for situational stuff such as bush jukes for melee champions.
The only downside to "Target Champions Only" is it only affects CLICKING to attack, it does not affect your Attack Move. So regardless of whether you have it toggled on or not, your Attack Move will still prioritize whatever is closest to your cursor, and that includes turrets and minions.
I learned this the hard way, how do you get attack move to target champions only? Or is that not a thing in league? If it's not possible, this feels like a real lack of thought in the feature.
For anyone new got one more tip (depending on comfort) Instead of "A" bind it to "R". Move ult to T and also bind it to a miuse button (if you have a decent button mouse). It will be a little weird at first (and probably some ults fired backwards lol) but it's great once you get the memory and you dont have to risk hitting A instead of Q for an ability which might be crucial to your kit even while kitting. Most ults arent skillshots and tbh mine were better when i made the shift. I also only use Logitech mice so this may be dependent on mouse button sensitivity.
My only issues is that toggle champions only DOES NOT work with attack move, and since I use attack move all the time I keep hitting minions or towers.
Perhaps I'm just insane but I actually prefer to bind my attack move to the R button and rebind my ultimate to another button. You press attack move WAY MORE than you press R for many champs, especially adcs. You can always have your finger resting on R and it feels super natural and easy to use it this way. It takes a bit of retraining to get used to your ultimate being on a different button but once you do, I find it to be pretty comfortable.
I agree, but I prefer keeping attack move on the same hand that I use to move the cursor. When I attack move with my left hand, I struggle to keep my cursor movement in sync with my key presses
i use the attack comand in the C is where my thumb lays more confortable and it feels efortles and the attack only champions in the part of the mouse that is the zoom pressing it , is also comfortable
Turning off minimap movement is a terrible idea. You can easily click to get pathing and move your camera while you are on the way in a lot of cases. Turning off minimap move hurts that a lot. Another benefit of quick key attack is if you are running from a champ, you do not have ot move your mouse at all in a lot of cases. you just left click, A, all in the same spot and your champ will turn and throw attacks seamlessly.
I use my A-key with attack move click all the time (even when not playing ADC) and have my champion-only toggle on a mouse button under my thumb. Works like a charm most of the time.
Same. This video showed it poorly. He kept moving his mouse to the target dummies. Lol there’s no need in a 1v1 no minions to move you mouse anywhere close to the enemy champion. You can click to move and attack in the same spot while running from them.
@@Lurchstavo Yes. The *only* time you may need to move your mouse back in, is when you have (for example) your priority target behind another champion, but beyond that, no need to. Also, if you use champion-only toggle, minions don't matter anyways.
having auto attack on is also very useful as a support to check if bushes have wards (if you are a ranged sup you are gonna autoattack minions from the bush)
I don't know if it had been said, maybe I missed it, but target champions only doesn't work with player attack move click, it will still hit the nearest target, may it be minions, from your click. To make target champions only work you have to manually click on the champion with your mouse click (?)
Is there any way to do attack move on left click and ALSO show the attack range? Or do you need to have it be two step binding for the attack range benefit?
5:15 - He just explained how it's extremely helpful having the range-circle showing your AA's range when clicking A, but then at this step, when you bind it so A button attacks straight away and no left-click is involved, you remove that said circle. I'm struggling a lot with that, especially when trying out new adc's. Someone got a tip or?
Played since Season 1, and never learned about this until like season 11. After over a decade of league, I am one the rare players that just finds it easier to not use it at all. Eventually you get accurate enough with right clicking that you almost never miss your target.
I have both activated, when My stack speed goes too fast I stop using the A and just do left click right click the idea of moving the target champion onlyto X or something similiar from my left mouse button it’s actually great since in never use it in the middle of a team fight since the AAs are so automatic in my right hand and I need to stop and remind my self to press that extra button
is there something, that does the same as you explained in the beginning, attacking the nearest target, instead of the nearest target just the same target that you attacked first, i hope you know what i mean, the champ you attack first, then you kite with clicking on the floor and you still hit the same target, not the nearest target, is that possible?
Just wanna say that if you have both very fast and precise mouse movements, you're good to go with just the most basic right clicking on enemy target and then right clicking to move away and repeat.
@@elephunk562 you activate the champions only and whn its activate, you have to right click on them, only when its activate and you right click, it does ignore towers and minions.
I think auto attack on can be really useful, for example: 1. Checking if a bush is warded. 2. Your character reacts immediately when someone leaves stealth and tries to attack you (really useful against those damned shaco players 😂 but obviously applies to every stealth champion). This can actually prevent dying if your character has higher attack speed than the stealthed champion, which is usually the case, since champions utilizing stealth don’t build any attack speed. 3. Junglers automatically doing camps when looking at the minimap. Maybe there are even more, feel free to leave them in the comments, if you know any.
@@theancientone1616 No but it can come out of stealth as if it's the real one. (by moving the clone away then going into stealth and getting out of clone range so it teleports to you)
I've been using for over a year the 3rd one so I can't change now, I'm pretty used to attack with a all time so I didn't developed mouse accuracy, maybe I should switch to the other one
Pro tip: do NOT change your settings until you finish the video--THEN, you can choose which setting you'd like. Otherwise, you'll find yourself alone in the practice tool, mashing on the "restore to default" button and filled with dread wondering where it all went wrong...very unlucky for my friend.
OMG! I played attack move all the time, but didnt know you could make it so you attackt he cursors nearest target! Thats all I ever wanted ( besides ignore minions, only target champs attacking move, which lets be honest, would be op). Cant believe the quality of adc improved. Actually a wonder I made it into higher elo without knowing about it. Thanks!
I'd like to use space bar for Attack Move or breind it to the left click, but the game doesnt allow me. I don't have the button on 05:45 and also if I change the A with space bar in config file... nothing, always A
thanks helped me alot. forgot about this mechanic. returned to the game. want to improve as adc. and i knew i was missclicking alot or missing that AA when enemy walked into a bush. what cause you to lose :D
I came here looking to improve my Iron orbwalking time with improved keybinds. Come to find out, my motion binds are kin to commonly used Challenger blinds! My motion binds: -Attack Move click on left mouse click -AA Range indicator on SPACEBAR My Trollbinds: -Mastery Spam on A -Dance Spam on T -Laugh Spam on G Mordekiaser es numero uno
Is it just me but it doesn’t let me use the shift+MB2, the attack move click on the scuttler or blue buff, like jungle in general? Only when i click it first it lets me use it, anyone knows if this is intentional? Edit: maybe worth mentioning it is with Kayle lvl 6, haven’t tried with other champs just noticed it with her but might try if it’s with others aswell.
Time for a lengthy addon for things missing out on binding aa-move-click to your left mouse button. TLDR: This is how you make another button work as lmb if you want to bind aa-move-click to the lmb. With this method you don't need to do any changes in the clients settings menu, all is done in the editing of the files but will change the settings within the game aswell. I have run these settings long before they were available in the client settings menu without any problems. The problem with binding aa to LMB, like mentioned in the video, is that you cant click the minimap without moving, same with item shop, items in your inventory etc. Here is how you solve it, it involves editing 2 files in your league directory (std path x:/league of legends/config), namely "PersistedSettings.json" and "input.ini". I'm not sure you actually have to edit the input.ini file any longer, but this is the way I have always done it and it has worked for the last 5 years. First you have to understand how the files are handled by the game. When you log in, the game downloads the PersistedSettings.json file from riots servers and overwrites whatever you have in the local files (this is to keep settings for the player that logged in if the client is being used to play on different accounts by different players with their own settings). So this tells us you need to be logged in when doing the editing of your files. Then when you start a game (any game, bot, practice, ranked, aram etc) the game checks if you have a PersistedSettings.json file on in your config directory, if not, it will once again download it from riots servers. If the file exists locally on your computer, the file will UPLOAD to the servers, in effect "saving" your settings so they work if you login to your account on another client or a fresh install. So now to the edits you need to do. First, backup the files PersistedSettings.json and input.ini and name them f ex input.ini.bak and PersistedSettings.json.bak. This is just to be safe in case something goes wrong, I have never had any problems but to be safe, just do it. xD Rightclick the PersistedSettings.json file in x://league of legends/config directory and choose open, choose notepad to open the file in notepad (or any other text editor, doesn't have to be notepad). If you have never edited these kinds of setting files you might become a bit overwhelmed with all the text but its actually not that complicated. If in notepad, in the format menu, click "word wrap", its not necessary for what we are doing but it makes it easier to read all the text without having to scroll. There are two "trees" of settings within PersistedSettings.json, one is "name": "Game.cfg" and below are all the "subsettings" for that config. Scroll down and you find the second witch is "name": "Input.ini". The first setting is under the "name": "Game.cfg". You can use the menu "edit/find..." (in notepad) to search within the file to make it easier to find where you have to do the settings. If you cant find them in your file, add them in in the EXACT SAME STRUCTURE as the rest of the settings, ie: start with a "{" and end it with "},". It doesn't matter where you put it as long as it is under the correct tree of settings (under "name": "Game.cfg" or "name": "Input.ini") and subsetting (f ex "name": "GameEvents" or "name": "HUDEvents"). Use tab or spacebar to make it look nice and tidy (not necessary but useful). I will use mouse button 3 (pressing the scroll wheel) in this example, you can use any key. What we want is to do is tell the game that, in this case, you will make mb3 act as left mouse button works in standard settings (clicking minimap, clicking players, items in shop etc) but at the same time still be able to use lmb (very usefull for pings since they are probably programmed in your head to use ctrl/alt+lmb) but remember, the aa-move click will also be issued when using lmb (not when using pings), but not when using the mb3 (remember this when clicking the minimap, you will start moving if you use lmb, but NOT if you use mb3. Open PersistedSettings.json in your config directory and edit/add Under "name": "Game.cfg", subsection "name": "GameEvents" insert or edit (if the setting is already there) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- { "name": "evtPlayerSelectClick", "value": "[Button 1],[Button 3]" }, { "name": "evntHudMoveableSelect", "value": "[Button 1],[Button 3]" }, { "name": "evtOnUIMouse1", "value": "[Button 1],[Button 3]" }, { "name": "evtPlayerAttackMoveClick", "value": "[Button 1]" }, { "name": "evtPlayerSelectClick", "value": "[Button 1],[Button 3]" }, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Under subsection "name": "HUDEvents" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- { "name": "evntHudMoveableSelect", "value": "[Button 1],[Button 3]" }, { "name": "evtOnUIMouse1", "value": "[Button 1],[Button 3]" }, ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Save and close PersistedSettings.json /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Open the file input.ini in your config directory and edit/add -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- under [GameEvents] evtOnUIMouse4Pan=[Button 3] evtPlayerAttackMoveClick=[Button 1] evtPlayerSelectClick=[Button 1],[Button 3] under [HUDEvents] evtOnUIMouse1=[Button 1],[Button 3] evtOnUIMouse2=[Button 2] evntHudMoveableSelect=[Button 1],[Button 3] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// That's it. Now start a practice session (to upload and save your settings to riots servers) and test your settings. Remember, the client has to be open (only client, don't go into a game) when you edit the files. If you have more than one account, copy the PersistedSettings.json and input.ini files to another location when you have the client open. Close the client, log into your other account and paste over the files in your league/config directory and boom, settings apply to the other account when you start a new game. As I said before the settings will follow if you log into ANY client once you have saved them by starting a game. Now try playing Kalista and just spam lmb beside the target you are attacking and she will automatically kite towards your mouse and aa the closest target to your mouse that you can reach. :) If you find this confusing, just ask here and I'll help you out but its pretty straight forward once you get into it. GL HF on the rift!

Is there any other way to click on things if you use left mouse for attack moving? its the only kiting method that works for me but I can't click on stuff now for information
can u tell me where to fix my camera on space again when i wanna have it closed while pressing it and attack auto like example i got banned on my main, and i i bought yas on this and on my main when i pressed ''E'' it would do it when i got a target and go on it but on this i have to press left click to active E or W pls tell me
hello guys, i have a question, on minute 7 and (55 seconds) there stands treat target champions only as a toggle, where is that setting right now. i don't see it anywhere?
I dont know what the majority of the players use but I have come to a conclusion that most use 3 fingers on Q,W,E and use R with their index finger. With this method I can see using a and shift for attack moving very natural. However I'm one of those who keep all their 4 fingers on all ability buttons at all times and this way A and shift are awkward to reach + using q without having your finger on it can be really challenging. Thats why I have my attack move click on T and that has been working for me for years. Only thing I found hard with it is using your R and AA fast right after another when playing corki for example. But you get used to it.
Me too had the same problem, infact i put the attack move on C, so that i can use the Q freely with my pinky, and its not too difficult to reach the R cos they are in the same vertical line
Ever since a few years ago I use my space bar to attack move without the range indicator. It's not been that long since I've learnt that most people use a with range indicator. I do use that for laning phase because I have less attackspeed and can control it but after that i usually use space bar
Dude, it sound alike you screen lock if that's the case. Otherwise, how do you scan the map beyond what's in front of your champion? You should learn to play without screen lock if you do use it. Holding space bad is the default way to lock into characters which should be used only ocassionally at best.
@@grimskull416 I use T to screen lock and I've gotten used to usually just locking and unlocking it whenever I needed to. Most of the time I have it unlocked in lane because I don't need the stability of it except for fighting.
The Attack Move control is preferable for newer ADC's in my opinion, as you have the range indicator shown to you and teaches you how much distance you can have against your opponents. Attack Move Click should then be tested out if you understand your max range to see if it feels comfortable for you (this option requires a lot faster mouse movements, so make sure you have a comfortable dpi that doesn't make you swing around ur mousepad too much or the dpi is so high you fly around the game screen). As someone who been playing since season 3 and mains both adc and mid, I use Attack Move Click and rebinded it to my T key. It was just a random test to try placing it on T one day and realized that it is so much faster for me to do as I utilize different fingers for different tasks rather than stacking it on a few fingers. Well worth at least learning these two things and getting a habit with them earlier than later (make sure to make the one your more comfortable with a habit first). Also since I'm on this tangent, make sure to go and sent a keybind for the "Target Enemy Champions Only" key and then in another section of the settings have it set to "Toggle Target Enemy Champion keybind". Will help you not do those unfortunate tower dive to auto enemy once to kill and instead hit the tower situation. Sorry for the wall of text, I just like helping give advice to people learning and help them learn faster rather than have to learn the hard way like I had to. If you have any questions, feel free to comment it and I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability. Btw if you are wondering about my credibility, I'm currently a Platinum player in NA. Can opgg me if u want, IGN is Egolith (of course). I don't have my season 3-6 information on there as I was living in China and there isn't an opgg site that I could find to show that account.
I just wanted to add cause I do the same but slightly similar and I feel it's better if you know your range I use attack move click on "r" and bind my ultimate ability to "t" so I auto with r and move with right click and don't ever left click except when buying much less clicking for auto!
Can someone explain why attacking with A+left click mouse button is more accurate? Why you have to press the two while you can AA with one of them only?
I don't agree what you said with binding attack move click to a mouse button. I've never had this issue to what you're referring to with the mouse moving as I press the button.
If you use 3rd you lose atack range cursor even if have it enabled in the settings. Is there a way to make it repear ? Cuz the 3rd one feels the most clean but is very sad to lose the range indicator.
Can i use attack move with 1 command but still get the range indicator ??? Cause i feel like the indicator is really needed but i dont want to do the 2 commands
i dont know if the interaction isnt supposed to be like this but when i do the attack move command + toggle attack enemy champions only and i press left click it attacks minions even though the toggle is on. can i do anything against it
If you have only champs enable and missclik atack move on a minion, you still hit the minion instead of the champ. Only if you right click is when the atack only champs aplies. So that is parcially useless for an adc trying to kite a champ between minions, because you wont be able to use atack move reliably :(
Hi! My issue is that I find out "Target chamions only" key does not work with attack move I mean If I want for exampleto use when diving someone I must use "X" right click (X is where I have binded the attack move command) when approaching, then I must click "C" (Where I have the Target champion only as a toggle) and then start moving and attacking all the way with right click which is pretty strange, ¿Is there an option which allows u to activate target champion only when kiting with attack move?

This video should be in the beginner guide inside the game instead of the "hit the tower" "hit the nexus" guide we have rn.
I can't bind "Player attack move click" to left mouse button. How did you do it?
when i press bind auto attack to left click i cant press g and ss or assist help and thos
how do you use pings with that keybind?
@@obsolete9734 I hold CTRL and use left click, which doesn't trigger attack move
God bless McBaze. Perhaps, he only plays melee champs.
I am McBaze
I use attack move with mele champs lol
Even when I play ADC, I still only right click lol. I can certainly confirm that it gets me killed.

You can hold C to show your attack range without being forced to use A + left clicks to see range. That's what I do. I use Level 3 part and hold C when I need to see my range at times.
@έρεβος your c is the attack move button, c though is the default button for showing attack range. there's an option under movement that says "show attack range" and you have to bind a key for that.

but its rebound
I wonder if it’s possible to use level 3 part and still see the auto attack range using A.
@@lorenzocardoso5284 How you found a way ?
0:51 Incorrect. Kiting is the act of attacking while keeping distance from your opponent so they can't retaliate. What you described is attack canceling, or "orbwalking."
This is exactly what I needed to learn thank you very much 🙏🙏🙌 Now I need to learn my wave management and final hitting minions I will definitely be using this video to both learn and implement in my games.
Back at my time, before the left click attack move was implemented into the game's settings, we had to edit the input.ini file.
I guess I'm more of a level 4 or 5 then ;D
I use a combination of the standard A left click as my default and shift + LMB for speedy clicks. I have secondary bind setups with shift for RMB, SPACE and QWER so when I hold shift the only thing that changes is that my LMB becomes "attack move click", and spells become self cast.
I like playing Aphelios, because then I can bind attack move to E and not have to move my left hand at all.
I have it on T and just switch with one finger between r and t as you don't use R that much in game

i suggest using spacebar for the attack move click, because clicking a is using the same finger as using q but if you use spacebar you'll use a different finger so it'll be faster
How about left click?
The solution to the problem people are finding is not using your mouse to have to make very big moves with your hand and instead use keyboard, so left click is just going back to the problem
The problem with move + attack click is that you will attack the nearest one while if you use A with cursor you hit the enemy near to the cursor, note that sometimes it will be a miniom if you are too close
yeh they need to add toggle champions to attack move as well.
or just right click them with toggle champion
There's one problem I've only recently found out crippling my kiting:
"attack move on cursor" doesn't work with "target champions only", so when you use both, you'll still attack minions and towers sometimes, if you click a couple pixels too far from enemy champion.
@@haidersultan5359 that doesnt work for me. its still the same with left click as attack move
@@aice336 it could be a bug. Actually I did notice it once. I was clicking on enemy champion and my champ was hitting minions while Target Champion's Only. But it only happened once with me so it's not consistent behaviour. League of Bugs?

same, its very convenient
this is such a fundamental part of the game that i never even started to grasp as a kid when it first came out. now, as an adult getting back into it, this is the first thing that i start to wonder about.
i personally do not recommend disabling auto attack, especially if u play bot or top lane because u need it to check for warded bushes. If your character attacks the minion wave while u are in a bush, it means the bush is warded.
I didn’t know that thank you.
No. Just use the player attack movement (SHIFT + MB2) constantly when you are going to check so if there is some1 in a bush you will insta hit him. Also when someone is invisible and trying to catch you
@@JezuhElNobHD That's not what the original comment said.
no thats not tru at all brother.
if the enemy minion attacks u while u are in a bush, it means the enemy minions has vision, which means its warded. what u say is not tru, the autoattack has nothing to do here.
Am I the only one?
nope, use thumb mouse button too. Cant imagine using keyboard for auto attack, feels so unnatural
ur mouse does move, its impossible for it not to, but its such a little movement that u will never notice it... at high level play it matters more as every tiny advantage/disadvantage matters
Here is an interesting key bind setting (imo) i've been using
TAB - Shows attack range and enable atack move
G - Shows Match Menu
Q, W and E - Main Habilities
R/Space Bar - Ultimate Hability
TAB + Left Click - Atack Move
Right Click - Standard function (move/attack)
Side Mouse Button 3 - Camera lock on/off (could also be Z, X, C, V but never tried)
Side Mouse Button 4 - Champion Target Only (Toggle mode option)
With this setting i don't need to move my fingers/hand much like i would from A to Q for exemple. This makes casting Q habilities more agile.
how did u bind tab to show attack range and enable attack move? :O
I spent 3 hrs trying to figure out that auto move thing that happens when you bind atk move to mb1 with no luck... thank you do much😊
I just made a long comment about a solution for the minimap thing if you want to try it out. :)
You can shift click on the map
Is there a way to combine attach move and target champion only ? I am personally the third setup you presented but often find myself auto attacking minions with attack move instead of champions :(
I know, right? Target champions only is such a great feature, but it doesn't seem to work with attack move click. So you either give up the accuracy, or or risk hitting something else than your target.
What I ended up doing is never using tco when diving, I just amc near the target, but out of the turret hitbox.
I have this same problem as I got use to always using amc when trading so tco only works with point-click abilities
I put target champions only on the tab key, it's next to your Q on most keyboards and is big enough that only pressing the edge still works.
Without having to turn off the minimap movement, just hold shift and left click on the map if you want to hover over.
Using what's comfortable is important. I personally use a+left click for ranged champions to attack move, but only use right click, or shift+right click for situational stuff such as bush jukes for melee champions.
When I a+left click even if target champions only is turned on, it hits minions. Do you know a solution ? Or is it only for use of right click ?
The only downside to "Target Champions Only" is it only affects CLICKING to attack, it does not affect your Attack Move. So regardless of whether you have it toggled on or not, your Attack Move will still prioritize whatever is closest to your cursor, and that includes turrets and minions.
Thank you I was confused about this.
I learned this the hard way, how do you get attack move to target champions only? Or is that not a thing in league? If it's not possible, this feels like a real lack of thought in the feature.
@@navjotsingh2251 i wish it was just another player movement click command, would make things so much smoother
i thank you so much for saving my kiting by showing me this attack move on cursor, NOW I CAN PROPERLY KITE BETWEEN MINIONS AND MY TARGET
For anyone new got one more tip (depending on comfort)
Instead of "A" bind it to "R".
Did the Player Attack Move Click get removed? I can't find it in the settings
i use the attack comand in the C is where my thumb lays more confortable and it feels efortles and the attack only champions in the part of the mouse that is the zoom pressing it , is also comfortable
I use " target champions only" to an extra button on the mouse with toggle on. It will be very easy to get used to it.
@@Lurchstavo Yes.

nope probably just relocated
having auto attack on is also very useful as a support to check if bushes have wards (if you are a ranged sup you are gonna autoattack minions from the bush)
Someone got a tip or?

rebind C to something like spacebar or shift so you can have it constantly pressed down without it interfiering with the gameplay
Played since Season 1, and never learned about this until like season 11. After over a decade of league, I am one the rare players that just finds it easier to not use it at all. Eventually you get accurate enough with right clicking that you almost never miss your target.
This video really helps me alot thanks for putting keyboard display in the video
I have both activated, when My stack speed goes too fast I stop using the A and just do left click right click
the idea of moving the target champion onlyto X or something similiar from my left mouse button it’s actually great since in never use it in the middle of a team fight since the AAs are so automatic in my right hand and I need to stop and remind my self to press that extra button
is there something, that does the same as you explained in the beginning, attacking the nearest target, instead of the nearest target just the same target that you attacked first, i hope you know what i mean, the champ you attack first, then you kite with clicking on the floor and you still hit the same target, not the nearest target, is that possible?
Just wanna say that if you have both very fast and precise mouse movements, you're good to go with just the most basic right clicking on enemy target and then right clicking to move away and repeat.
You forgot to talk about how you cant target champion only with attack move and you cant click on tab or use unsealed spellbook with it on left click
so how do you AA a champ when he is by minions? any easy way?

I think auto attack on can be really useful, for example:
I think it's really only useful on jungle. In lane it leads to unnecessary damaging the wave which can end up fucking your lane status.

I like jam some Kalista every now and then so shift right click has really sped up my kiting and is saving me a lot of inputs. I always use it now.
This is just to be safe in case something goes wrong, I have never had any problems but to be safe, just do it. xD
Rightclick the PersistedSettings.json file in x://league of legends/config directory and choose open, choose notepad to open the file in notepad (or any other text editor, doesn't have to be notepad).
Open PersistedSettings.json in your config directory and edit/add

If you have more than one account, copy the PersistedSettings.json and input.ini files to another location when you have the client open. Close the client, log into your other account and paste over the files in your league/config directory and boom, settings apply to the other account when you start a new game.
As I said before the settings will follow if you log into ANY client once you have saved them by starting a game.
Now try playing Kalista and just spam lmb beside the target you are attacking and she will automatically kite towards your mouse and aa the closest target to your mouse that you can reach. :)
If you find this confusing, just ask here and I'll help you out but its pretty straight forward once you get into it.
GL HF on the rift!
Yeah bro this ain’t it where’s the tldr
@@Lurchstavo My bad, I guess it would be "This is how you make another button work as lmb if you want to bind aa-move-click to the lmb."
Ill edit and add that, thanks for pointing it out.
too much text
@@Raxnema yeah, instructions on how to manually change code in a program is not for everyone, I'm sorry you don't have the capability to read and understand it.
@@Raxnema Aaaaaw, did your "super toxic - nothing to add to the conversation" message get removed automatically? Poor you... LMAO
How to not disable map movement while having left click AA turned on? I just want to rmb move the map and look lmb without moving
did u find out how?
@@jayzo9643 nope
i think u coul bind move to some other bind aswell and then press that bind instead of your main bind
go into settings and disable minimap interactions
Hello, i have a question, if u use last metod u wont be able to see the range anymore with a, is that correct or i did smt wrong?
Very useful video for an adc, thank you
GOD DAM WHERE WAS THESE STUFF WHEN I STARED PLAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love you guys thank you for making these vid my first game of lols 7-4-2012
Is there any other way to click on things if you use left mouse for attack moving? its the only kiting method that works for me but I can't click on stuff now for information
nice video, it really helped me out not to miss click anymore :3
8:47 5-6 team fights in a 30-40 minute game? More like 10-12 in NA plat 😂
can u tell me where to fix my camera on space again when i wanna have it closed while pressing it and attack auto like example i got banned on my main, and i i bought yas on this and on my main when i pressed ''E'' it would do it when i got a target and go on it but on this i have to press left click to active E or W pls tell me
This is the guide I needed to watch a long A%^ time ago! Thank you!
Silly question...should I be learning to do this for all champs in all lanes or primarily for ADC?
Adc mostly, but wouldnt hurt on other champs
This was one of the concepts I didn't know existed but I saw in game but didn't know the name of.
Been playing for 6 years and now i am finally learning this
hello guys, i have a question, on minute 7 and (55 seconds) there stands treat target champions only as a toggle, where is that setting right now. i don't see it anywhere?
I have a Razer Deathadder mouse, so naturally I just have attack move on my MB5 button where my thumb rests on the mouse.
“Think of your auto attack like an ability” Laughs in Zeri 😂
I just wanted to add cause I do the same but slightly similar and I feel it's better if you know your range
I use attack move click on "r" and bind my ultimate ability to "t"
so I auto with r and move with right click and don't ever left click except when buying
much less clicking for auto!
best video so far i know about this topic
Im getting it , but to have your attack go back and forth with A faster is if you get attack speed items?
Can someone explain why attacking with A+left click mouse button is more accurate? Why you have to press the two while you can AA with one of them only?
I don't agree what you said with binding attack move click to a mouse button. I've never had this issue to what you're referring to with the mouse moving as I press the button.
If you use 3rd you lose atack range cursor even if have it enabled in the settings. Is there a way to make it repear ? Cuz the 3rd one feels the most clean but is very sad to lose the range indicator.
Anyone knows if it’s possible to use the 3rd level option and still see the auto attack range?
Can i use attack move with 1 command but still get the range indicator ??? Cause i feel like the indicator is really needed but i dont want to do the 2 commands
i dont know if the interaction isnt supposed to be like this but when i do the attack move command + toggle attack enemy champions only and i press left click it attacks minions even though the toggle is on. can i do anything against it
I have it bind to left lick but i also use A + left lick to see the range if needed
If you have only champs enable and missclik atack move on a minion, you still hit the minion instead of the champ. Only if you right click is when the atack only champs aplies. So that is parcially useless for an adc trying to kite a champ between minions, because you wont be able to use atack move reliably :(
I wanna use player attack move click, but when there are minions it targets the minions so is there a way to make it so it targets champions only?
I like left click only more since i can just put cleartape on my minitor for the attack range and still can the benefit of less imputs.
Hi! My issue is that I find out "Target chamions only" key does not work with attack move I mean If I want for exampleto use when diving someone I must use "X" right click (X is where I have binded the attack move command) when approaching, then I must click "C" (Where I have the Target champion only as a toggle) and then start moving and attacking all the way with right click which is pretty strange, ¿Is there an option which allows u to activate target champion only when kiting with attack move?
looking for this too
Hey SC! How do you feel about binding Attack Move to a mouse key?
And I made it to the end of the video. Thanks :D
How can I throw a ward if I set an attack on LBP? thank you
I did not realize that there was a setting to attack closest to cursor. This changed my life. o.O
