    Even with the massive budget, James Cameron went above and beyond for something an audience might not even notice.

    AAH! THIS IS SO COOL! Everything I hear about T2 . .everything I watch about it. . just makes me love that movie more. I wish someone could Men In Black me with the flashy lighty thingy so I could watch it for the first time again. . I remember being 11 years old and just having my little mind blown by that movie .. .and my mind continues to be blown as an adult!!

    Cool telling of a story I didn't remember exactly who was there for. Nicely said Andy! It was my hand up inside the puppet's neck - hoping the girder had been correctly limited to not flatten the head (and my hand) to pulp!

    I could always tell it was a (very good) puppet, so if the rubber head looked bad to Cameron, it was probably a good call.

    Apart from the SWAT shooting, which is where a radio puppet model is being used and controlled like a prop, and perhaps the ending with the lowering into the steel, why would it need to be able to talk and do facial functions etc ? I'm trying to think where in the movie they may have used that. Where Arnold the actor himself didn't do it. That sounds really expensive and cool, so these radio models could do all the facial functions? So the puppet is fully automated with functions etc. It's not just a dummy. Perhaps there's other scenes in the steel mill where it's not Arnold with the prosphetic and makeup, but it's the doll. I don't get why they can speak preprogrammed voice commands, I mean all of the facial movements, not talking! Can you think of all the times it was the doll?
    Come to think of it, when the T1000 throws the T800 a huge distance in the steel mill, that is probably the doll, it looks good though
    The crushing is perfect and it was a genius move, it looks real. At that point of the film I'm usually drunk and it is a tough watch. Brilliant
    When Terminator is damaged the makeup is unbelievable, it's definitely not a surprise this film won an Oscar for this.

    • @McCaler
      @McCaler 7 лет назад +2

      Because the T-1000 is beating the living fucking shit out of the T-800 until the T-800 nearly gets destroyed and the T-800 could not at all what-so-ever throw a single fucking punch nor any form of an attack at the T-1000 at all. That is the major, fucking, hardcore pissed off part for me right now. That's why I hate the scene to no end.
