Incredibly well played by both artists, fabulous how the viola player performs with passion, virtuosity and the musicianship to show the beauty of the viola.

I really like in the first movement how they subtly tweak up the expression for the recapitulation. Mood changes are really well handled elsewhere in the sonata.

Best version yet, after listen to a dozen other interpretations, but fellow violists, where is the fire? I am 100 percent certain that Schubert conceived of this piece slower overall. EVERYTHING SLOWER! No fast ornamentations, no fact anything. TAKE TIME TO SING THIS LOVE SONG!!!

@@sasssssa6565 Finally somebody who doesn't like this interpretation :)) I am not saying he's not playing well, but I find his playing "arrogant". It doesn't touch me at all the way he plays. Maybe I am too old-fashioned, but this arrogant playing doesn't tell me anything, besides the fact that he is a technically impeccable.

@@rifcafcaf2391 maybe you could listen Jean Paul minali bella recording, he plays on an arpegina, musicologue tells that the piece was written for that kind of viole.
You could tell me what you think ?

@@rifcafcaf2391 that's true classical period, but their is such lyrism in Schubert 's music.
