I'm actually kind of glad I slept on this series. Getting into it now is like a massive feast already laid out for me. I wasn't even spoiled despite all the memes over the years.
Same!
Dude,
I am you in 2024!!!!
Just finished Season 2 and onto Season 3 whr Walt really becomes *HEISENBERG!*
Sameeee, I was saving it until I got a GF but we good now 😎
when they were having the convo when jesse was making eggs for Jane and he said man i was hoping you wouldn't wake up. the forshadowing is ✔
I think you’re reading to deep into this show
@@cold5837 not at all actually the show is masterful at foreshadowing
@@cold5837
You must not know Gilligan and Gould are. It was definitely intentional.
@@thedarkknight9153 I mean plus she replied with "Ever?" It's not hard to spot lol
It makes it great on rewatches. Also Jane wants Jesse to sleep on his side in one episode. Also when Walt is calculating how much money he needs, it’s $737,000.
And don’t worry, Cody. EVERYONE hates Skyler, or at the very least is annoyed by her lol
Depends on which one you root for, I opiniotively hated walt near the end especially
That’s who she is meant to be.
She was a bitch in the first two seasons but after that I feel like she had the right to act the way she did.
wtf lol
I didn´t...
TV shows aren't my favorite thing to watch. I feel like TV shows way too often suffer from finishing their primary story, then dragging on for four more seasons just rehashing old material, or trying to one-up itself. Breaking Bad is not one of those shows. It's only five seasons long, which is the perfect amount of time needed to tell a complete story without getting dull. Easily one of the best TV shows I've ever seen.
Shows like Breaking Bad and Bates Motel knew when to end. Then you get ones like Dexter, Supernatural, Walking Dead and so on that dragged on too long.
@@Xehanort10 Babylon 5 and Farscape also don't overstay their welcome.
Jane’s death was the turning point for Walt. There was no going back after that. He turned evil in that moment.
And yet I can totally see where he was coming from with that death.
I mean but it needed to be done
It was her fate, she also had evil intentions and would have burned through jesse’s money. Even her dad felt more at peace with her gone
@@lbabytutorials4852did he tho??!
Dude caused 2 freakin planes to collide and explode in mid-air man!
😅
What's especially amazing about Mike is how he was a last minute addition. The entire show was different because Odenkirk missed a flight.
And it's all because he was in a HIMYM episode. So thank goodness for that show because it gave us Mike.
I feel seeing the family dynamic is important as it magnifies how far gone Walt has become or how much his ego is beginning to really get out of control.
I love when Walt meets the three stooges at the museum and he seems like the most experienced professional criminal
When I think of season 2, I immediately think of Jane’s haunting death
What's sadder is that it directly leads to a plane crash
Roy Zaarour I wouldn’t say directly. Like it wouldn’t have happened if not for Walters decision, but you can’t say he’s solely responsible for it. Janes dad was not in a mental state to perform his job safely, and ultimately it falls on him for deciding to endanger others by returning to work. It’s understandable though since, he was trying to find normalcy in his life again.
@@alexhussey7836 true
@@alexhussey7836 I don't blame Walt for letting her die bc if she didn't die Jesse would've ended up dying
@@aaroncoats1555 I felt like the big problem was her contacting Walt and threatening him on the phone. He realized as long she lived she was likely to sink his operation.
I love how Jesse goes from this kind of irredeemable hooligan piece of trash and as you find out more about him you start rooting for him to get his life together
Great review Season 2 is Excellent. God I love this show. No Show even come's close to Breaking Bad.
Honestly every time I see that scene where Jessie says “I loved her” I burst into tears it’s incredible
I just watched that scene I nearly bawled my eyes out. I actually teared up in that moment
I watched every season of breaking bad before seeing El Camino at the theaters this Thursday 😎
Yes me too I've watching Breaking Bad since January.
Theaters? Its going to be on Netflix though
Peter Benavente Netflix and some theathers.
@@SavRipper my local Alamo Drafthouse is showing it.
Cody talking about Walt doing everything for his family only to lose them anyway reminds me of Michael Corleone. Michael didn't want to become a gangster like his dad Vito and even became a Marine to get away only to have to become one anyway to stop his dad from being assassinated. And then after his first wife gets killed by his traitorous bodyguard while he's living in Sicily he feels like coming back to New York and becoming the Don will protect his family only to lose them after Kay reveals she had a miscarriage because she didn't want Michael's unborn son to be a gangster like him. Then his mother dies of old age and he orders his brother Fredo's death since Fredo helped Hyman Roth in his plan to kill Michael.
And then his daughter gets killed 😭 man, it's so sad
Jane and Skyler really remind me of one another, the same control that Jane had on Jesse seems like the one that Skyler wants on Walt on some level, tbh never liked them both really :( Jane a bit more but like Cody here Skyler annoys the ASS out of me!
Great review son. Awesome season. Skylar is totally irritating till the show’s end. This show literally has multiple characters that could have their own show. Not many shows could ever do that. God I love more every time I watch hit!!! Lol
Me too...and i was head over heels the first time i watched
Two Cody leach videos in one day, it’s a miracle
This is personally my least favorite season, I thought the plane crash was really over the top and comical and didn’t think it was as profound as the writers thought with the constant foreshadowing. I also didn’t like how they wrote off Tuco so quickly, it was as if they regretted creating his character and had to get rid of him to make way for better villains. However this season is still phenomenal, the story of Jane was amazing, Hank’s ark, SAUL!, Jesse’s story was sooo emotional, I hated Skylar in Season 1 so much but thought she really became a strong and smart character by this time. It just shows how incredible Breaking Bad is for me to think this is the weakest season. Also I adore Season 1, it’s not my favorite but I can’t fathom people not continuing the show after that season, I was pretty much immediately addicted.
Cody after Breaking Bad and El Caminos review please review Better Call Saul please it's good really good.
Jane’s death was difficult to watch and listen to when I first saw it and even now, I had to fast forward that clip.
I think the actor who plays hank was in terminator 2 as one of the SWAT team who heads to skynet when it's being blown up by the T101, Sarah, Miles and John. That's the only other role I've seen him in. Wish he would do more stuff
Yep, he has a small role in Starship Troopers as well. :-)
He was in alotta shows and movies dude.
Guy is a legend at this point!
Season 2 is freaking amazing. It's the only show that improves each season until the end when it's non-stop shit hitting the fan.
Absolutely
Is it just me or does Cody look and sound like Ricky from trailer park boys
It really is the most perfect show from beginning to end.
Yep. Making Breaking Bad superior to the likes of game of thrones and Dexter which have perfect starts and middles but garbage ends
that intro haha breaking bad is my fav show of all time as well and I have that hoodie 😂 breaking bad literally can’t be touched, can’t wait for el Camino
That intro is a great start will leave another comment after I watch
I think you hit the nail on the head with Skyler. Shes annoying because we side with Walt and she gets in the way, but she SHOULD get in the way when hes going behind her back and clearly up to something, which is cooking meth.
The characters in Breaking bad are amazing.
Awesome review Cody! I think this show is pure brilliance and arguably the best series ever made. I agree that Dean Norris is underrated and a phenomenal actor. Can't wait for more reviews man!
I felt what skyler felt, i really waned she knows all secrets, and ultimately it did. My favorite scene is when jesse and walter are Tucco's captives hh ..
Jesse's friends reflect him, i like them 👌
Great review 👍
Perfect season 👌😊
Walt started out like Mr. Rodgers and transformed into a Tony Soprano type...beautiful transformation moment.
Love love love Breaking Bad!
Great review once again Cody!
Season 2 "F----!" was a wild ride. It's on par with Season 5 or 6. In the later Seasons I actually wanted Walt to leave Skylar in the way he does. Skylar is friggin crazy, partly rightfully so, but she didn't have to go all trailer trash at the end.
Mike is awesome. I don't remember if I was for or against what happened to him. And I just died for Jessie in this season.
Breaking Bad is in a league of its own.
Agreed
Better Call Saul is getting into that league now. But yeah, so many shows start to lose its quality by season 3-5 and then just shit the bed in the ending. (Looking at you, Dexter and Game of Thrones)
Breaking Bad gets better every season and then fucking sticks the landing!
Oh yeah just got child's play. It's a damn shame there was no 4k release !
I always loves these intros man ! Cody keep up the 🔥 Reviews
Season 2 is my favorite so far. I'm on episode 6 of season 3 now
The thing you mentioned “if you hate this show” or something like that, I am like WHAT!? I do not believe there is a soul that hates Breaking Bad, do you?
I've seen a number of people bash it because people love it so much
I tend not to pay cynics any mind
I was annoyed by Skyler but her flirtations with her boss is what really pissed me off about her
You don’t give a shit about my name I know this is months old lol but I just gotta say it’s because Skyler is a huge hypocrite. Not trying to argue though 😁
Skyler in season 2 was probably my biggest problem with this season it’s like you said she’s so uptight and hypocritical but now that I think about it I now understand why the writers made her like that. Because it does genuinely feel more realistic because I’m pretty sure everybody’s been there at some point in a relationship but she just really got underneath my skin and she was worse The beginning of season three but then she starts to get better once she starts siding with Walt and almost becomes like a business partner but it’s because she gets tempted by the money and that right there is a great reminder that money really truly is the greatest evil in the entire world and how it can easily corrupt people.
She was never tempted by the money she was held hostage in Walt’s shemes
@@lbabytutorials4852yes but yeah at the same time she got tempted by the money. Because at that point her and Walt were separated.
@@KingRichard1013 it seemed like she never cared for the money and felt prisoner
Favorite show ever I started watching it when there were airing season 2 on tv so I been with this show since pretty much the beginning
Honestly, I could have done without Skyler AND her sister.
I’ve really tried to see things from Skyler’s POV and in a way I have! It’s an interesting perspective, being on her side, dealing with all of Walt’s bullshti, and you can kinda see where she’s coming from. BUT ultimately, she’s the one that does extremely shitty things just as revenge and it gets to the point that she’s no longer sympathetic or worth defending either. She breaks bad too, but in a much pettier, disgusting manner (while Walt’s is just horrifying). So yes, regardless of the first two seasons making her seem semi-sympathetic, she is nonetheless the most dislikable character in breaking bad (besides Todd, he’s much worse. Fucking child killing sociopathic scumbag. But my point stands). Her actress is great though and deserves praise for making her so dislikable. Don’t hate the actress, hate skyler!
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that really really hates skyler
I see why you dont like skylar. Alot of people defend her character but she just comes off as bitter and a hypocrite because she blames walt for ruining their family (which he did) but then she immediately goes and cheats on him with ted as if thats not also ruining their family. Then she takes walts "hard earned" money without asking and gives it to ted. Other than that shes ight
Watching Jane's death a second time, it felt like it all happened so fast and so much earlier on than I first remember. The show wraps you up and gets you invested very quickly. RIP JANE ♡♡
Man... These Breaking Bad reviews are next level...
I'm so happy that I decided to click on part one today...
I recognized your username from Dave McRae's channel and was like, "Oh cool, I've seen this dude around, let's hear what he has to say about one of my favorite TV shows."
And here I am at part two already 22 minutes in, and I'm still hooked.
You have an amazing channel and I absolutely Love your style, sense of humor, general commentary, insights, editing style, thumbnails, etc.
Keep up the amazing work..!
People like you keep the review scene not only alive, but novel and worth consuming.

Thank you. Glad you enjoy them.
How’d you like the whole series?

Bittersweet is the best word I have for it honestly....
Truly a masterpiece to say the least nonetheless....
Breaking bad is the best show ever made. Its not even up for debate . It’s a fact
16:40 I wish I could remember the film, or show it is from but I swear I've seen him play another cop before
Season 2 started a little slow however the end with Jane and the introduction of Saul was worth the wait
where u been youtube been hiding you from me damn.
Really diggin these BB season reivews man! You're killing it with these great intro skits man. Good shit!#SkinnyCP :) lol
Oh my God I love season 2 it was a greatest f****** thing I ever saw in my in my life. I want to say more but really I can't say anything but that it was great. I couldn't really find any flaws in it. I binge watch it; the only time I get mad is when when it's over lol
Its a crime that cody doesn't have 100k
Mike was my fave!
Hated Skyler!
Same
I hate marrie too
She is a total bitch
Me and my dad used to watch this all the time back in the day. Also nice Daredevil hat. Have you reviewed the Netflix show?
Skyler annoyed the living shit outta me. Great otherwise and where the show takes off.
Breaking bad a hell of a show and Cody if you want to see dean norris watch the tnt show claws.#MikeNice
I cant believe I never noticed this foreshadowing before but $737,000 also the amount of money that Walter calculated his family would need. So 737 down over ABQ has multiple meanings. Especially since a 737 blew up and landed on his house. Its incredible ironic that Walt got exactly what he asked for be careful what you wish for!
Now wait it was Jane's decision to leave or stay.
Gotta say I like the skits, another great season review.
Doing reviews for one of my fav shows before the movie nice.
What fools would put a thumbs down on a Cody Leach review? Damn! What's wrong with people?
lol skinny CP.
When I first saw that scene with the head on the tortoise, I thought it was a prank that the other cops were pulling on Hank. I mean, who looks at a severed head and jokes around and laughs about it?
Skinny CP...Oh Now youve just gotta make a nickname for Bryan now
wanted to point out that when the baby was born skyler was telling walter to put her on her side so she doesn't choke and on that same night as Jane had been telling Jesse to do the same thing and died the same night that way. well from walt but yeah.
Walt didnt do shit.
He didnt shoot her up with heroin or whatever.
He simply let her die naturally or unnaturally
I hated season 1 but I got through it and watched season 2 and loved it and from there it had me hooked the only thing I hated about season 2 is the heroin thing I watched it at the most terrible time in my life bc its was a couple of months after my sister died of a heroin overdose so it was as tough watching the episode with jane but this is my favorite season by the way I fucking love the jacket man
Does anyone like skyleh? Lol.
Cody would you ever review Dexter? Breaking bad is my second favorite show ever with Dexter being my 1st it would be really cool if did a review of the show
Dexter is likely in my future. ALOT of thoughts on that show
The thing with Dexter is that apart from Season 3 the first half of the show is good. But the only good season of the 2nd half is 7 to me. 8 was the last season but it felt like just another season not the "building up to the end" type of thing it should have been. It's almost like the people in charge thought they'd get a Season 9 but got cancelled halfway through 8 so they had to rush everything.
Hows the new episode of off the shelves coming along?
I've just started season 5. Love it great reviews but you do have a tendency to hint on what's coming on later seasons. Please don't! Otherwise keep up the great work
I finished the show like 2 months ago and I’m about to rewatch again that’s how good it is
Cody bad ass sweater.
Was hooked on this series since the first episode. I binge-watched all 5 seasons in 4 days.
I'm not a fan of skyler my favourite episode is grilled love the introduction of gus and tuco is one of my favourite characters
It indeed was all for his family
I never understood why Skylar always gets the hate.
9/10 A- Although it's my least favorite season of Breaking Bad its great
Love the tee Cody. I've only just realised where the perspective is from. Is it one of your designs, or just one you found??
Walt may have chose evil by not saving Jane but Jane was too dangerous and Walt knew that.
Probably my favorite season.
Killer jacket.... I'm sure you get tired of people asking are you going to review this, that, and the other but do you plan on reviewing supernatural? cause I know you like it
I doubt it because theres so many seasons and I'm too far behind. I do love it though.
@@CodyLeachYT you ain't wrong man there's a lot.
You nailed the "Bitch!" in the intro. Haha 👌
Breaking Bad is great!
Dean Noris had a tiny role in season 2 of True Blood. I think he was in 1
episode. He was okay in that. What I loved about the character Hank was how he started out as goofy and full of himself, but he quickly came back to earth and you grew to love him and actually hope he catches Walt. As for Skylar, she was just a bitch through the whole thing. As a Mom and a Wife I understand why she acted the way she did, but you just kept hoping Walt would drop her ass LOL. Another thing I didn't like about Skylar was how they made her smoking cigarettes as her big rebel 'bad' thing. I mean, smoking is a nasty habit, but its not the end of the world. I would have liked to see her be a closet drinker or pill popper. That would have been something worth sneaking around for.
Scream season 1 and 2 review please!!!!!!!
Skyler is pregnant.. hormones 😅
When are you going to review el camino?
When it comes out
Skyler sucks, no question. She's just a terrible person. Oddly her kleptomaniac sister is actually a better wife. (Compare how Marie treats Hank's awful behavior vs Skyler and Walter.) But on an unrelated note Anna Gunn really started looking physically bad from season one onward. I don't know if she was having health issues or what, but she didn't look healthy at all. Maybe there are some real world reasons why some Skyler stuff just couldn't make it???
Walt is terrible too
And wow that’s rude
Hi Cody, this week from 7/9 on/off thru Sat early a.m. 7/16/22 I re-watched all of Breaking Bad (except for season 1, as I saw much of it as AMC was re-airing all of BB up til the most recent Ep of Better Call Saul aired Mon nite 7/11), and I too love Season 2 & I agree that Walt struggling for 30 secs w/whether to let Jane die from choking on vomit or rolling her back on her side to Save her, was Brilliantly acted by Brian Cranston. But I Don't agree that that's when he turned truly evil, cus IF he saved Jane she And Jesse would've continued using Heroin, which likely may've resulted in Jesse overdosing & Dying as well; so I feel Walt let Jane die Mostly to Save Jesse from Heroin addiction & potential to likely early Death (even tho Jane's death caused Jesse Devastating grief), & also to get Jesse to where he'd need Walt again, Vs. Walt choosing to let her die Only for his own selfish reasons. I feel the first dangerously Risky & thus BAD thing Walt did (tho in His mind for a right reason) was in season 4 when Off-camera he somehow got Lily of the Valley berries into Brock & poisoned him, but convinced Jesse that Gus had poisoned Brock likely w/the missing ricin cig, in order to get Jesse Bk on his side Against Gus; That is what I feel was Walt's first truly BAD action, even tho I do believe Walt hoped the Hospital would realize Brock ingested Lily of the Valley & treat him for it & Save him, as I felt that Walt's Relief when Jesse told him that Brock was recovering seemed quite Sincere.
Put yourself in the shoes of Skylar your husband was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer has about a year to live and he’s now going off doing things more and instead of trying to be understanding of he’s just attempting to escape the inevitable that he’s going to die Skylar chooses to consistently nag him and give him shit even when some is justified she’s hated not just cuz she stands in the way of the protagonist she’s just genuinely an asshole this season try to have some compassion instead of asserting your dominance over him like you have your entire relationship
At 29: 54 you talk about how in a lot of these shows the wife always seems annoying one of the shows you named was the sheild . I know you was probably talking about the main character vick macky s wife . But I was just thinking how Jessie's gf reminded me of Shane and his wife from the sheild.
