Ronin as a secret identity for Heroes needs to be used more. I just want one story where a group of heroes are framed for something and have to go on the run, but they still need to fight crime, so they all like, pull straws for who gets to be Ronin

I like the idea that Ronin is the sort of “witnesses protection” hero identity where it’s just given to heroes whenever they want to be active but have to lay low

Imagine if they had extra costumes, and you accidentally got three Ronins running around at the same time. You could have two different heroes fighting a ronin and swap it out each fight, so no one can keep track of which one is which

I like how the Ronin costume/identity were used by Hawkeye and Blade simply because no one was using it and they already had it. Kinda feel like it parallels how it first came to Marvel with Joe Quesada having made it earlier with Valiant and it being rejected and unused.
I wanted to show my roommate a little history of Ronin and Hawkeye last night and looked you up first and here you are with a video of them the next day. Thank you!
Here's an idea for a ronin side plot
Ronin does Ronin stuff, foiling Osbourne's secret plans and atracting a team consisting of. Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Echo, Electra, dare devil and luke cage to go after him and to try and find out who is the Ronin, a bunch of events would happen where one or two of the four suspects are not present and each would leavs vague but not incriminating evidence that it might be them, it would be like the zodiach killer, that it's hard to solve
Seeing as how Echo is being introduced into the MCU and her powers are similar to Taskmaster, do you think her inclusion is the reason they altered Black Widow's Taskmaster to such a degree? Since everyone is theorising that the MCU Ms. Marvel's powers were stolen so as to reserve "super stretchiness" for Mr Fantastic when they get around to introducing him, it wouldn't be that different of a scenario.
Of course, if that is what is really happening, that just raises the question of why MCU characters are suddenly not allowed to have the same power.

probs because it just suited the themes of the movie more. Like, fits the message of control and stuff more then just a merc
@@Mayhem.jester embiggen and stretchiness are still really similar to the non-comic reading fans though. It's better from a marketing standpoint if each character is unique and recognisable. They even tried to distinguish Tony and Rhodey more in the movies, giving Tony Sleek NanoTech whilst Rhodey stays in big bulky armour
that's would be a stupid reason for two reasons, first it's okay for two heroes to have the same power, second if you don't want two heroes to have the same power instead of changing a character's powers just choose a different character with a different set of powers.
That actully makes sense, and echo is getting a disney plus show so it made sense to change taskmaster who may never show up again

@saru fair enough but still can be a bit misleading if one isn’t paying attention or aware.
I have learned from comics one important thing. Think about the entire story. Many times in Marvel and DC history have they started building up to a huge character reveal, and didn't know who the character actually was.
Or quickly change it for no reason even when it doesn't make sense

That was wild. While he was Ronin, it was also revealed he was Ultimate Paladin during his mercenary days.
I like the idea of a sort of "throwaway" costume for heroes in the marvel universe who just need a quick secret identity to change into for a bit, though I find it a little odd that it's something as specifically themed as ronin.

OMG YES! YES! A Hawkeye-centric video! Yes, yes, I know he's been in other videos, when talking about the different Avenger teams and the different people using the Cap mantle, but this is the first one that he really takes on a big role. My patience has paid off!!

I like how Ronin was used in Hawkeye Freefall to basically say, Hawkeye's greatest enemy is himself, it's seriously one of my favorite Hawkeye books of all time

I like the concept of multiple heroes and villians taking up the same identity. It feels more real that way and could easily explain why it is so difficult to uncover an identity.

Think about it, everyone is wondering what hero or villain is currently Ronin, exhausting this comprehensive list of the best martial artists who are currently unaccounted for, and then it's somebody nobody has heard of, who happens to be this super formidable threat. I'd maybe do this as the villain of a Hawkeye book.

I know that you don’t talk about alternate versions of characters when doing these kinds of videos, but it would have been cool if you mentioned Ultimate Ronin, who was another personality created by Moon Knight in order to infiltrate the Kingpin’s forces.
He was my favorite Ronin by far. The ending of that arc is excellent.

Since Echo is a character being introduced in the Hawkeye Disney+ series and the trailer shows Kate Bishop taking up the Ronin mantle from Clint, does that mean she'll also possibly take up the mantile in the show, and we'll end up having 3 Ronins in the MCU? Considering Echo only real connection to Hawkeye in the comics is that they were both Ronin and they know Daredevil, it seems like a solid bet.
