“Would you like a declaration?” “I think I would.” “Today, I am Hawkeye” Hawkeye and Spider-Man in Avengers #1 by Brian Micheal Bendis. The first Comic book I ever owned
I think prior to the MCU version, many people did not thong much of Hawkeye. But the MCU did him really well (in part due to the actor) and I thought he was one of the most interesting characters on the team and should have got his own movie many years ago.
Love your content! Never read too many comics but always wanting to learn more about the characters and storylines! Thank you for making such amazing and well detailed videos. Stay safe, stay awesome, stay super.
Ik a lot of people don’t think so but idc, Clint Barton is a 100% badass. Any object in his hands is a weapon…from his arrows,…to basic assassin weapons like swords, knives, throwing stars, Bo-staffs,etc…to even household items plates, cups, coins, and beyond. Not only is he the “Earth’s mightiest Marksman” with his incredible superhuman accuracy but he is deadly and very dangerous in hand to hand combat. He was trained by captain America, S.H.E.I.L.D., And he received more training when he was Ronin in Japan. He’s an underrated assassin considering he can do all of that and was able to track down Black Widow which is not easy to do or say that you’ve done. But the reason I love this character beyond him being a master spy/agent/assassin is his relatability and how he really is an inspiring character. He trains his body 2 hrs everyday to keep his skills sharp bc he wants to be the best bc he knows he has to be otherwise he’s just a guy with a bow and arrow. He doesn’t crave the spotlight, he’s lowkey and prefers to protect his fellow man bc he his humble enough to know that at the end of the day that’s what he is just a regular guy with an insane amount of skill but not like on a Batman level where even tho he’s human you can’t really relate to any of his skill set bc they are so Fkin nuts. Hawkeye is a character who I relate a lot to and I feel like man others do to and that’s what makes him special.
I love Hawkeye, I always have, and I love how he's basically the strongest Avenger. Like his bow is so heavy, not even Cap can draw it. But I really hate how being trained by Cap is a good thing for any character, because Cap isn't even as skilled as they try to make him out to be, since he basically only has 40's military training
I wish that his abilities as a marksman was more emphasized. This dude his on par with Bullseye when it comes to his accuracy and has gone toe to toe and beaten him as well. That is all that needs to be said. Best archery does not cut it.
@@saturncrush exactly he’s not only proficient with arrows he’s incredibly accurate with EVERYTHING he touches that means knives, throwing stars, household items, and guns people think he’s just a marksman with a bow he’s a marksman with everything
@@kordellpurnell6207 no, Cap is not legit 😂 he was trained in 40's US military training, which wasn't even that good. He then was frozen before WWII ended, and within the canon of the comics, he has only been unfrozen for roughly 5-10 years. Within this time, he has constantly been with the Avengers, or fighting against bad guys, with really the only training he has done being weight and muscle training. Cap was created to be propaganda though, to bring people into the military, and because he was so popular, the comics continued to do that kind of characterization. So no, he isn't legit, he is just randomly given things to keep him as the "perfect human", even though he is so imperfect, that he's been a Nazi and with HYDRA countless times
Hawkeye’s arc in my marvel universe series is about being a teacher. In the series the Young Avengers would form and Hawkeye becomes a permanent teacher. While he’s familiar with Kate… it would also show that he isn’t so great with wild teens. There IS of course much more to him. Like his relationship with Lucky. Or his relationship with his fellow Avenger Swordsman. And much more.
Hawkeye is so underrated. People think he is a joke (maybe because of his outfit in the 60s with a skirt) but after reading some Hawkeye comics he is one of the best Avengers
No , Clint is much more lethal and a better fighter he knows more techniques, more battle worn and has laid out super powered beings with his bare hands
@@Chuck_EL so has Olly though, even as an old man, he helped take Clark out. Hell, he took out a man on the moon, from Earth, with the help of Green Lantern. He also took out someone by flicking a peanut, bouncing it off a glass, and knocking the guy out. He was trained by at least Wildcat, and cam take out a group of highly trained martial artists, before they can even react. He also was trained by Natas, who trained Deathstroke, and we know how deadly and dangerous Deathstroke is
An important storyline was the one in Avengers Spotlight where he got shot by gangsters in an alley and after healing, he donned a new costume that gave him more protection.

So that characters who you followed for almost sixty years (I guess, technically, Hulk is over sixty if you count that time he was Purple, called the/a "Hulk", and his alter-ego was Jimmy Olsen. Because of the explosion, and Bruce Banner trying to save RIck Jones from the effects, he became "The Hulk", and when he transformed ("got angry") his mind was reverted to that of a young child.
