    If I only had 1200 cals to have I'd skip breakfast and would only eat after 1pm that way you can have most of the calories in one big meal

      Yip. First meal at 3pm and then dinner at 7:30pm.
      Much easier method.

      @@thebesttheworst2277 If u wake up at 6am and start doing activities, how r u going to be productive until 3pm while u starve? If u sleep late and wake up late, same thing. How r u going to survive the hunger at midnight? Small and frequent meals make more sense.

      @@anneliselim602 I've not eaten before 2:30pm since 2015 and up and working from 7:30am ... If you haven't tried it consistently you won't believe it but you actually feel fine and sometimes not even hungry when it's time to actually eat, you get tired and unproductive AFTER lunch/1st meal.
      Also have a 67yr old family member who recently decided to do fasts until sometimes 7pm and then have around 1200-1400 calories after and they find it easy now and have lost a good amount of weight.
      It's one of those you won't believe it until you try it yourself scenarios.

      Different things work for different people but so far I've had the most success doing one 84 hour fast a week. Once you get used to it it's easy. I can't imagine eating 1200 calories a day, I'd rather be hungry 50% of the time than 100% of the time

    1200 calories is probably under most people’s BMR. Even for weight loss I would recommend going a bit higher with the calories, resulting in a much for sustainable and safe diet.

      @@DiskoKDiskoL There are health draw backs. You will eventually see the effects if you put your body into a deficit for too long. Hair falls out, you get chills, metabolism slows and bloating

      Unfortunately, if you’re a short female, you do actually need to eat around 1200 in order to lose weight. I’m 5’1 and I have to have 1200 or else I gain weight, there’s less surface area for fat to go to when you’re short so you just have to eat less sadly.

    This is how I beat my hypothyroidism and lost 60lbs in a year. Now I eat more because I workout but this was what the doctors had recommended for me and was the only thing that helped.

    did 1.2k for 4 months, got sent to the hospital for low heart rate, and "anoreixa". came back home got forced fed into being fat. then i did a small 500 calorie cut, and lost all the weight, and now i hit the gym regularly and maintain a sustainable diet of 250 calorie defecit. pls do not cut ur calories this much, a 500 calorie cut is best

      @@shannonbillowsfitness Still, eating this little is not healthy at all. Your metabolism will be significantly lower at the end of your diet and you won’t be able to eat as much. Slow and steady might not win the race, but it finishes the race.

    This kind of extreme diet is the perfect way to set yourself up for a bad rebound unless the end of the diet is managed to perfection with the gradual introduction of the new maintenance calories, which I would suggest is going to be very difficult to implement. My advice as someone who has (like Shannon) been overweight but is now successfully trim again is to set a sensible weight loss per week goal like 1, 1.5 or even 2lbs, standardise your eating and exercise as much as possible and then just boringly track the results. Weigh yourself once a week. As the diet progresses if you’re finding it harder make sure to keep your step count high, do something new like a spin class or whatever once a week rather than slashing your calories to this level.

      I did it for about a week and all I wanted was a tub of ice cream with half a cake and some donuts. 1600 much easier and just work out. Even 1900

      This is not an extreme diet for me. My weightloss goal calculates that I should eat 1000, but I won't go that low so I do 1200 for a 100 cal deficit per day. It's difficult to find enough high volume low calorie meals so I am grateful for this video.

    1,200 calories only makes sense for people 5ft - 5'2" tall over the age of 20, and even then it would be necessary to eat 1,800 on the weekends to stay healthy and continue growing muscle while working out. If you're looking for a way to do a calorie deficit please just take however much you eat right now and subtract 100 calories to start and go from there. Use a calorie calculator online to tell you how much you should eat for weight loss but most importantly make sure you are feeding yourself WELL

      Yes! I am a 5’0 female and even with 1,200 calories, I feel full most of the time. Of course, how filling the foods I eat are to be accounted for. When I lose weight, I usually eat two meals in a day with a snack or two in between and I’m pretty much satisfied at the end of the day. Oatmeal is a big game changer tbh coz it makes me so full

    This type of diet is a specific diet, like for people who are super morbidly obese. Who are trying to lose weight so they qualify for gastric bypass surgery. I have seen doctors recommend this exact diet and calorie amount to their patients.

    If you’re eating only 1200 calories a day as an average sized male, or female for that matter, good luck exercising or performing any physically demanding task at all. Your goal should be to eat whatever amount gets you proper nutrition because that is a sustainable diet and you will lose weight by simply exercising regularly and at varying intensity. You don’t need to starve yourself to lose weight, you need to find what would be sustainable at your goal weight and eat that because though it may take longer to lose weight this way, you will be able to make it a lifestyle.

    One critique I'd make the toast and eggs (largest meal) of the 1200 for dinner. Going to bed hungry makes it harder to sleep. You can budget calories early on in the day. That being said, 1200 is only good if you are very small or are unable to exercise to help you lose the weight

      Just add in a breakfast. I don’t know if you’re male or female. I personally just eat whenever I get hungry. So 2-3 meals a day and 1-2 snacks. Aim for Whole Foods. I drink water, tea, or milk. Keeps me satisfied and I maintain my weight

    I starve and lose weight on 2,500 - 2,800 a day. I need about 3 - 3,500 a day to feel my best. I am a bodybuilder and do 55 hours of exercise a week this is why

    I feel the best way to lose weight is no calories counting! Try carnivore diet today. After trying so many diet paleo, keto, this one is different.

      You’re welcome! 😊 they technically aren’t needed but I don’t exclude them purposefully. For me at the moment it’s just easier to cut carbs and fat to keep protein high and cals as low as possible for my rapid fat loss phase. When my cals increase so will my carbs and fiber.

    I would eat like this to lose weight quickly but it wouldnt be a long term thing. Maybe if i was lucky enough to just live in the outskirts somewhere and not have the bussle of everyday life. Id get hungry and fatigue especially in the evening

      Some people drink coffee for the taste, not the caffeine, like me personally, my body can't take caffeine too well, but I still like the taste, so I just drink one, every once in a while or drink a half and share it with someone (friend or sibling)

    Also, that's not that much food for the calories... you really need to up your protien... and have more snacks through the day... unsalted nuts are a perfect quick option. Snacking on small bits of protien throughout the day will keep your metabolism fired up and in burning mode. And start pushing some weights around 😊

      Those two things are a myth. If you have the “willpower” to do something it is simply because you desire that outcome so much that it outweighs whatever benefit you get from making a different choice. Put simply, you just want it. You want to lose weight more than you want to eat a cookie in the moment you make the choice not to eat it.

    Ngl a few years ago I got in the best shape ever trying to be around 1100 and 50g carbs. Only did it for about a month but the weight was flying off. I was also playing college football and hooping probs 3 days a week on top of the football workouts. So this checks off✅

    ok 1200 calories...not bad... but then you go to the gym after work and in a normal work out including 30 minutes of cardio you lose what, 400-500 calories at most and you ate 1200 then still 700 calories...so how does it work with calory deficit plan?

      Don’t take his advise. You can eat more than this if you want and have a healthy body. The most important thing is too move your body as much as possible. Exercise regularly and go on walks. Just don’t overeat and you will be fine

    1200 calories is rock bottom poverty nutrition for someone weighing 120 lbs. You’ll tank your metabolism doing this.

    If you've been fat that long, you can be fat a little bit longer while you lose weight @ 1500 - 2000 / day.

      personally, i gain on that much even with moderate activity! my organs don't like me and decided i get "tired all the time and can't process food efficiently" disease (pcos). though i suppose being a woman makes my caloric needs a bit different in itself too. 😅

    I am significantly overweight. I just had my measurements taken for the first time in my life (one of those machines that does your height, weight, and has you hold your arms all the way out). I burn slightly less than 1400 calories each day, just being alive. So now I’m on an 1100 calorie diet to lose weight. This video is helpful to me. I would have to drop something to stay at 1100 but it’s still helpful.

    Try apples, berries and/or grapefruit with a bit of plain greek or skyr yogurt nstead of the banana, and trade out the decaf for matcha or green tea...and try using coconut sugar rather than white. ❤

    1200 kcal is a bis extreme to be honest, Id remove the banana which has a lot of glukos in it, rest looks good

      You mean as in, you eat less than that? Because in that case, I was there too like a year ago (I'm a bit emetophobic, so there was a time when eating a lot at once, made me freak out), just start small, like adding 100cal plus to your normal diet and slowly work your way up, also try to not stress about it too much, anxiety can make you lose appetite and make you nauseus (I hope I spelt that right...)

    Women don't follow this. I did a 1270 deficit, lost weight quickly then as soon as I ate a bit over those calories (a normal amount of food) the weight pilled one. With our menstrual cycles, sometimes we require much more food.

    If I eat only this during the day, and have this small dinner, next morning I’ll eat the moon so hungry I would be 🌚🌚🌚
