- If you were anything like me…my chest and shoulders were both the most stubborn to grow on my body
Everyone would always say “bro just bench more..”
Despite benching 275 for reps on flat bench when the guys giving me this advice couldn’t max that out on a bench
Which led me down the path to believing my chest genetics were doomed and this was my fate
But coming up on my style of lifting on my own accord…I took the same framework and applied it to the Chest
And it WORKED
I was actually besides myself because I didn’t expect it
But this style of lifting is truly one that is ANTI GENETIC
We can’t change our insertions or ab shape
But we can ABSOLUTELY max out our biology
And when we do this…even if it wasn’t the image you conjured up in your head
You will be just fine with it

Who is Uncle Rommy? And who are “The Natural Crusaders?”
Well it’s a group of guys who want to live up to the man they know they are capable of being
“Where do I pour all this energy I possess?”
That was a problem I had most of life growing up… and up until about a year ago
The blessing & the curse of my situation:
I was a natural at a lot of the things I would try
I was told often “you have a lot of potential…but you’re wasting your talent”
It was frustrating because I never knew what to double down on because I thought I was making the wrong decision
But that was the problem…I was living inside my head
I put myself into the role of fulfilling what OTHER people thought my potential was
Playing the game of life to surpass OTHER peoples standards
It took me quite some time to realize that I didn’t have clarity on MY OWN standard as a man
When I finally decided to turn my brain off and completely lead with my fiery heart and spirit
My standard and mission became crystal clear
Which is all encompassed through the “Natural Crusader”

The natural in relationships & conversations
“Strip me down to nothing and I know I am good because I got me”
That is what real conviction and confidence truly is
This is what the Roid Heads are missing

We may not have the answers right now BUT will always end up figuring it out

I understand what you mean to an extent about the 3800 vs 2200 but both are at maintenance. I thought the same thing. I'd rather eat 2750 and work harder to make that my deficit than eat 2250. Is it nice to eat 500 more calories of food? Yeah for sure. But the main thing is it's more food entering my body and being processed by my body. More protein carbs and fats going to my muscle to fuel strength and growth. Regardless of what my TDEE is. I believe they are two separate systems.
i actually find i do better with drop sets, something about proper failure each set, and full on fiber recruitment vs. heavier more clumsy recruitment.

Hmmmm, short workouts. Not very strong. Has great physique… kinda just looks like drugs doing all the work. I could be wrong, but things are usually exactly as they appear.

Doesn't count sets, doesn't count calories, goes by feel, and 20min+ long videos to hear that. I'm glad he's got a great physique and more power to him and his viewers, but honestly to me it sounds like a.) he just accidentally discovered that volume = gains and b.) if he goes by feel I have no idea how that advice translates to me at all. Obviously something is working for him, but by his own advice he doesn't really know what it is because it's just feel.
