Great comment mate, but I just hope that these recent vids he has uploaded, are just an introduction to his concepts for new people (People that wasn´t subbed to his channel for 8 years, like me who have been waiting for this mans comeback sine 2012 when I subbed to his channel) and that he is really planning to come back as a coach with 2020 gems, cause every teaching Marvin does, is a gem. Hope he doesn´t disappear for another 8 years.

"You should be able to see the fight, inside the fight." Man, that's something to ponder on. So much knowledge in such few words and not much demonstration needed. Today is spar day at my gym. Although we are traditional Muay Thai, we do practice our boxing from time to time - going just hands. I will be sure to remember this video. Thank, man. 🙏🏾
I started training MMA with a friend out of his garage a few months ago and Marvin Cook was one of fhe first he told me to watch. To this day, i will rewatch because i learn something new every time.
Speaking as someone who’s never stepped inside a ring, Marvin’s teachings got me eager to start my footwork at home. Keep it up, Marvin. Absolutely will continue watching. Thank you.
That's the thing about slipping and rolling you have to use your footwork with your head movement since the opponent can easily come in angle and you're easily to get hit. That's the thing that I realized in my previous sparrings.
My son is 10 years old has been boxing for a little less than a year, I came across your videos and when we’re not at the gym we practice what we learn from you and your videos. Now every time he spars, he implements what he sees in your videos and his game has change exponentially! Thank you so much! We hope that one day we’re able to meet you In person and thank you for content you put out! From a father trying to raise his son into a respectful young man, but also an elite fighter, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Happy thanksgiving coach!
When he went ghost I legit tried searching him up on the internet. Needless to say the dude was a ghost and i was so sad about it becasue the quality of knowledge this guy drops on boxing as an ART is something that's very rare to find on the youtube algorithm with all these "fighting fitness channels" etc. Welcome back Marvin it's good to hear from you. Still shredded and punches lookin hella sharp
I'm hoping to see Marvin spar because I'm seeing the same videos on "move your feet", "look down the rifle", "step to your right to win" and "work your jab" etc. As a visual learner it would be great to see this all in practice. Thank you for the videos, Marvin.
@Terel SC I'm a real fighter buddy,boxer,cage fighter,kick boxer,mui thi....I fight foreal...so when I say something it's coming from a fighters vision
@@parrisrobinson5083 I’m why won’t you try it to see if it works? Obviously the mma fighters and the wrestlers listening to him in the video and in person trust his knowledge. And you watched his videos for a reason, so why he needs to validate himself when you clicked the video?
Maintaining balance at all times inorder to be able to counter and fire off your offense at will. So much knowledge in such a short video. Love it coach.
Good stuff. That last part tho like even Floyd Mayweather has had to ask where he was at on the scorecards. U get wrapped up in what ur doing second to second that u forget ur being judged. A lot of times youll have it where both guys think they won the fight too right? Same thing. One of them will have to be told by someone on the outside they lost.
Only Pros can defeat Logic smtims with all my due rspct to ur teachings coach👐... yet some fighters as Mayweather can manage gr8 defence against very heavy shots against the rope with just head movements n philly shell gr8 experience with Time...yet still moves his feet after the pressure ! So anwy I still agree on what u say after all !
That's an excellent way to explain this - "defence signal through the legs". It is definetely great and practical key to understand the principle. Just found your videos on RUclips a couple days ago and it is pure gold. I am definetely subscribing. Continue your work, sir!
Glad to have you back with new videos for us to learn ! all the way from singapore and i love the way you explain things it helps me visualize better what to do !
Have actually tried out many of your boxing methods Marvin and they actually work really well (never doubted that they wouldn't) thanks for sharing such great advice and content in your videos👍
Recently I lost my first match exactly becaue I was trying to be too dodgy against volume fighter. I had a big height and reach advantage but just could not capitalize on it. I only fully realized and accepted this after re-watching the fight. My question is what can I keep in mind, what to focus on, during sparings to start converting my style to more stance controled approach? I think this is more in my head than anything else.
True boxers stance will ensure you’re a deterrent against your opponents offense. Proper footwork and mobility will make sure you can initiate your offense. Position before for submission.
Marvin is the Daniel Day Lewis, of uploaders.. he only puts something out every 8 years but, its oscar worthy

Marvin Cook.
I agree with this even in life.
Calm in the storm.
When he said that it resonated with me. He's awesome. I love that quote. He is a great teacher!
Boxing is a concentrated model of real life.
Footwork is definitely a key principle to evading and setting up shots. 👍👍👍
